Protest Through Presence: Spatial Citizenship and Identity Formation in Contestations of Neoliberal Crises

We live in a contested, crisis-prone era, indicative of ongoing processes of neoliberalization. The most recent global financial and food crises have disproportionately impacted those already marginalized in society: people of colour and the working classes. The spatial expressions of this disproportionality are especially acute, evidenced by the uneven distribution of the basic necessities of food and home. Activists in the USA are responding with forms of spatial citizenship, namely exercising their right to peaceably assemble and reclaiming public spaces. During the creation of spaces of dissent, we observe the fluid formation of a collective spatialized identity among social movement actors, contingent on political identities and ideology. We use two cases based in Florida to highlight these processes. The first case is a local iteration of the Occupy Wall Street protests, Occupy Gainesville, which has occupied the city's most central public gathering place, the Bo Diddley Community Plaza. The second case involves Food Not Bombs in the city of Orlando where attempts were made to ban the group from distributing food in public parks to the homeless and working poor. First, these cases highlight the spatiotemporal relationships between unjust economic systems and the state surveillance and policing apparatus and those resisting such systems. Second, they reveal how collective identity influences and in turn is influenced by space. Our article furthers a processual, dynamic understanding of activist mobilizations to reduce the uneven burdens of neoliberalization and argues for greater attention to the spatialities of contentious politics.     

金融产业集聚与区域经济增长

金融产业集聚对区域经济增长起着不容忽视的作用,本文在金融产业集聚对经济增长影响机理分析的基础上,选取我国生产性服务业的典型代表——北京市为案例,描述其金融产业集聚与经济增长状况,并基于6大主城区的数据,利用扩展的C-D函数及混合面板模型对金融产业集聚对区域经济增长的影响进行了实证检验.研究发现：北京市金融业已形成良好的金融集聚态势;金融业集聚对区域经济增长有着明显的正向促进作用.在此基础上,提出了进一步加强金融集聚及其对区域经济增长作用的政策建议.     

The Model Development Dissertation

ABSTRACT

Asset-building programs, such as Individual Development Account (IDA) programs within social service agencies, assist low-income employed clients in building credit, purchasing affordable assets, and gaining wealth. This longitudinal exploratory study examines the credit outcomes of IDA programs to add to the knowledge concerning the effects of IDAs as an asset-building tool. Data were analyzed using a convenience sample of IDA participants and nonparticipants (N = 164), and the results indicated that initial credit score and history are associated with program participation. However, results also suggested that initial credit score is not a meaningful indicator of program completion, time to completion, or type of asset purchased for participants. Those who completed the IDA program within 2 years experienced the highest credit gains. Future research with larger samples is needed to further assess the impact of credit on program participation and completion and on whether credit gains are sustained.

介绍了西方国家的转移支付制度及其对我国的启示:加快转移支付立法,完善转移支付的法律监督体系;明确划分各级政府的事权;按照财权与事权相匹配的原则,合理划分各级政府的收入;优化转移支付结构,规范转移支付的方式;规范转移支付的分配方法,用"因素法"替代"基数法"。     

Consumer Debt Repayment Behavior as a Precursor to Bankruptcy

The passage of the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act (BAPCPA) of 2005 culminated years of debate over the escalating number of bankruptcy filings and whether or not consumers were abusing the bankruptcy system. Our study focuses on the extent to which households seek bankruptcy protection without first attempting to restructure their debt or experiencing indicators of financial distress. Through multivariate regression analyses of longitudinal data from the Panel Study of Income Dynamics (PSID), we find a significant relationship between having prior financial problems and filing for bankruptcy. Our results also indicate that households that obtained consolidation loans were equally likely to file for bankruptcy as those that did not. We conclude that early interventions with financially distressed consumers may provide opportunities to reduce bankruptcy filings.

管理层持股、领导权结构与财务重述

本文以我国2005-2009年间A股市场补充与更正报告中出现"会计差错更正"项目的公司为研究对象,以是否发生财务重述为因变量,采用配对样本分析的Logit回归方法研究了管理层持股、领导权结构与财务重述之间的关系。本研究发现,管理层持股比例与财务重述之间存在显著的U型关系,领导权结构对财务重述没有显著影响,然而管理层持股的利益协同效应(堑壕效应)在两职分离(两职合一)的公司中更容易得到发挥。本研究发展了财务重述、管理层持股以及领导权结构的研究内容,为完善公司治理机制、防范会计错报提供了相应的思路。

中国金融稳定指数的构建及测度分析

美国次贷问题引发全球金融危机以来,金融稳定问题再次提上重要议事日程并受到世界各国的关注。笔者在梳理并借鉴已有研究成果的基础上,通过计算反映金融机构、金融市场、外部冲击以及宏观经济运行状况的各项基础指标对其长期均值的偏离,并根据主成分分析方法赋予不同基础指标的权重,进而合成综合的金融稳定指数(FSI),用以衡量金融稳定状况。通过测度与检验,该指数既可以大致反映当前中国的金融运行状况,也能够在一定程度上预测未来中国金融稳定状况的变化趋势。     

金融危机后中小企业融资问题的思考

2008年开始的金融危机给中小企业造成严重的影响。在金融危机的冲击下,中小企业的资金链出现严重的问题,政府也为此相继出台了一系列的扶持政策。通过分析中小企业的融资现状,探讨了当前中小企业融资存在内源融资有限、外源融资单一、融资成本高、资信程度不高等问题,并就如何解决中小企业的资金问题提出了一些建议。     

产业结构调整下的区域金融发展 ——基于中部地区的实证分析

运用中部地区1995年—2008年的省际面板数据,通过双向固定效应模型,实证研究了产业结构调整对金融发展的影响。实证结果显示,地方政府的保护和发展偏好,扭曲了产业结构调整的市场机制,以重工业和大型企业为核心的中部地区工业化进程对区域金融发展产生了负面影响,而以市场机制为发展基础的第三产业以及地区产业结构升级有力的推动了区域金融发展。
