This paper suggests that a refocusing of supervision be seen as one possible strategy for lowering high attrition rates among child protection workers. Research findings from a qualitative study undertaken in two rural regions in the State of Victoria, Australia illustrate that the current model of supervision gives insufficient attention to the emotional intrusiveness of the work, to building resilience in workers and the implications of adult learning theory. An argument is made for a refocusing of supervision which moves beyond task, encompassing much of what is already known from the supervision literature. The supervisor can be thought of as a messenger who must send and receive messages to and from workers. What message is sent and how supervisors respond to what they receive are critical if the objective is to retain front-line staff. Critically, the supervisor must affirm both the merit and necessity of exploring the impact of feelings and thoughts on action and perception. A key message for supervisors to deliver is the value of individual workers to the organization, leading to increased self-esteem and self-efficacy. The paper also argues for adult learning via reflective supervision. This change to supervision involves a fundamental shift in organizational priorities and an acceptance throughout of the impact of anxiety on all those working in this field. 外语词汇学习的主要问题是词汇记忆。事实证明讲究词汇的记忆技巧比机械记忆要有效得多。本文调查了在三种不同条件下的词汇学习 :(1)把新词与已知词进行词形和语义双重联系 ;(2 )进行纯语义性质的词汇联系 ;(3)使用惯用法。结果表明条件 (1)占有优势 ,也就是说加强把新词与已知词之间的词形和语义联系的训练会有助于新词的记忆  相似文献

Retention in treatment is one of the strongest predictors of positive mental health outcomes. Adolescents, however, are particularly challenging to retain in mental health treatment. Concurrent case management services may offer one strategy for retaining youth in mental health treatment as it aims to reduce barriers to services, coordinate multiple services, and establish a consistent relationship between each client and a single contact person. This study combines three extant data sources from the state of Kansas to examine whether youths' participation in case management is associated with increased utilization of individual and group mental health treatment, controlling for client satisfaction, severity of mental health symptoms, and demographic factors. Linear regression results indicate that participation in case management services predicts increased utilization of both individual and group mental health treatment. Case management may be a useful tool for retaining adolescent clients in mental health services. Practical implications for community mental health service delivery are discussed.  相似文献

基于幂律流体在圆管中的流动模型,建立了幂律流体剪切率与流速之间的关系式。对关系式进行校正并代入Carreau 模型中,得到了改进的Carreau 流体有效黏度模型。新模型中有效黏度是流速的函数,将原来的非线性问题简化为线性问题。应用新建立的有效黏度模型,综合考虑聚合物渗流机理建立聚合物驱微观模拟模型。进行了聚合物驱微观模拟,统计分析了聚合物驱后剩余油的微观分布规律。计算结果表明,聚合物驱后剩余油更趋分散:网络状剩余油体积比例明显减少,但油水混合状、孤粒/孤滴状、斑块状剩余油体积比例都有所提高。  相似文献

This study examines the relationship between employee referrals and employees’ job tenure through the lens of social capital theory. It does so by considering the tie strength (closeness of guanxi) between referrers and referred employees in the Chinese context. In particular, we examine the mediating effect of career benefits. We theorize that close guanxi has a significant and positive impact on the job tenure of referred employees, and that career benefits (such as having a managerial role) mediate the close guanxi effect on job tenure. This highlights the critical need to recognize the tie strength as between referrers and referred employees. The support for our hypotheses comes from the use of personnel records of 4030 employees over 13 years in one large privately-owned manufacturer in China. Our study has theoretical and practical implications for the relational approach to tackling voluntary turnover in the workplace.  相似文献

连续犯的处罚缺乏统一的标准,很多直接依据法律的有关规定即可,而排除连续犯的概念,以同种数罪论处,在处罚实际效果上差异甚微.作为连续犯法律依据的追诉时效的规定纯属多余,仅依时效中断的理论就能确定,且更为合理.受一事不再理原则的制约,连续犯的既判力及于事后发现的部分犯罪行为,容易使行为人避重就轻地脱罪,也使这一概念广受非难.此外,这一概念存立的诉讼经济意义也非常有限.因此,连续犯的概念应予废除.  相似文献
