我国跨世纪人才培养的思考

本文从２１世纪的高度产业化与信息化、标准化与多样化并存和高度国际化的社会特征出发，指出培养跨世纪人才，必须优化高等教育，即高等教育思想、结构、课程、质量的优化；建立开放的、多样化的发展取向；同时需要全社会和国家配套的政策与法规的支持。     

Total factor productivity and shareholder returns in banking

This paper examines shareholder value drivers in European banking focusing on the efficiency and productivity features of individual banks. In particular, we analyse the value relevance of bank cost efficiency and total factor productivity (TFP) (in all its components, including technological change, pure technical efficiency change and scale efficiency change) to see how these influence shareholder value creation in European banking. The paper focuses on the French, German, Italian and U.K. banking systems over the period 1995–2002 and includes both listed and non-listed banks. We find that TFP changes best explain variations in shareholder value (measured by market-adjusted returns, MAR, for listed banks and by the ratio of EVA_bkg to invested capital at time t−1 for non-listed banks). In both samples, we also find that technological change seems to be the most important component of TFP influencing shareholder value creation in European banking.     

Managerial Delegation under Alternative Unionization Structures

This paper studies the effects of managerial delegation in a duopoly game under alternative unionization structures. Introducing managerial delegation in a framework with centralized unionization leads to incentives for sales, lower profits and higher consumer surplus as well as overall welfare. In contrast, delegating output decisions to managers in the presence of decentralized unionization produces opposite results unless unions are strongly employment‐oriented. Moreover, managerial delegation makes unionization structure neutral in relation to consumer surplus and overall efficiency. Finally, the timing of moves in the three‐stage game proves to be important for obtaining the above qualitative results under decentralized unionization.     

Choosing Choices: Agenda Selection With Uncertain Issues

We study selection rules: voting procedures used by committees to choose whether to place an issue on their agenda. At the selection stage of the model, committee members are uncertain about their final preferences. They only have some private information about these preferences. We show that voters become more conservative when the selection rule itself becomes more conservative. The decision rule has the opposite effect. We compare these voting procedures to the designation of an agenda setter among the committee and to a utilitarian social planner with all the ex interim private information.

面对九一八事变后的地方军事冲突,下野再起的蒋介石固守低调调解,羁縻默认,不用武力解决的政策,集中精力巩固基本区域、发展基本势力,建立有力之中央.这既是蒋介石处理地方军事冲突的基本逻辑,也是对整个地方实力派问题的基本判断.此种逻辑与判断,一方面,在千头万绪、错综复杂的情境下,实不失为解决问题的路径之一,且取得相当成功;另一方面,仍是武力解决问题逻辑之延续,以至未能彻底消除地方实力派的地方主义和派系主义.

当代台湾乡土文学发展异变探析

1980年代以来,传承中国新文学传统的台湾乡土文学因受“本土论”思潮的影响而被“台湾文学论”取代.当代台湾乡土文学的发展异变既是全球化语境中台湾本土文化的自觉应对,也和它与生俱来的政治意识形态因素息息相关.当代台湾乡土文学的发展异变并没有隔断中国新文学传统,所谓的“台湾文学”并不是独立于中国文学之外的文学形态,而是“文化台独”在文学上的反映,并非台湾文学自身运动的发展.     

地方文化如何融入幼儿园区域游戏——以淄博市为例

以淄博市为例,探讨地方文化与幼儿园教育活动的融合路径,认为应根植地方文化,开发具有地方特色的幼儿园区域游戏,特别是大力彰显地方传统游戏的历史文化精神,并通过区域游戏架起幼儿与地方文化双向创生的桥梁,一方面积极推进地方文化精神的永续传承,另一方面积极促进幼儿精神世界的健康成长。     

21世纪初康巴藏族地区民族图书出版状况分析

80年代,康巴藏族地区民族图书出版业主要以内向传播为主,总体上处于缓慢增长时期;90年代,虽没有突破性的进展,但在国家政策的扶持下,发展持续稳定;进入21世纪,随着文化旅游业的发展、康巴文化研究兴盛起来,康巴地区逐渐被人们熟知,并以其独特的地理、人文底蕴,产生了"康巴学"。在这样的背景下,康巴藏族地区民族图书出版业进入了一个新的繁荣发展阶段。在21世纪的头十年,康巴藏族地区出版了"康巴文化丛书"、"康巴民间故事集成丛书"和"香格里拉·康巴品牌文化丛书",同时培养了一批优秀的康巴作家群体,这是沉寂了半个世纪的康巴出版业在21世纪的一个亮点。     

Smoothing Time Series with Local Polynomial Regression on Time

Time series smoothers estimate the level of a time series at time t as its conditional expectation given present, past and future observations, with the smoothed value depending on the estimated time series model. Alternatively, local polynomial regressions on time can be used to estimate the level, with the implied smoothed value depending on the weight function and the bandwidth in the local linear least squares fit. In this article we compare the two smoothing approaches and describe their similarities. Through simulations, we assess the increase in the mean square error that results when approximating the estimated optimal time series smoother with the local regression estimate of the level.
