文化帝国主义与加拿大传播业的困境

文化帝国主义不仅存在于东西方国家之间,也存在与西方国家内部,加拿大就是一个典型的案例,虽然加拿大拥有世界上最先进的大众传播体系,但传播的内容却不是加拿大而是美国的,这一困境已经威胁到了加拿大的文化生存和身份认同。本文试图从历史、地理、经济、文化等方面来发掘加拿大传播业困境的成因．为其他国家反抗美国文化入侵、发展民藏文化提供有益的启示。     

新媒体背景下短视频传播凉山彝族文化研究

随着信息技术的发展,数字化时代已悄然进入大众生活。传播媒介迭代更新,作为一种新型社交媒体的移动短视频,以简便性、趣味性、碎片化、多感官性与强交互性等特征,迅速被大众接受。新媒体环境下,短视频创作已经成为社会发展的潮流,短视频的创作既可以促进社会文化的发展,也可以限制原有文化的传播。通过分析移动短视频平台的传播特点,剖析其对凉山彝族文化传播带来的问题与影响,并提出相应的策略,探讨这种变化对彝族文化传承与创新性传播具有重要的意义。     

自媒体在大学生思想政治教育中的运用

自媒体具有平民化、个性化、易操作、交互强、传播速度快、把关机制弱化、信息良莠不齐等特点,它的广泛应用,深刻影响了大学生的学习和生活方式,给大学生思想政治教育带来了挑战和机遇。运用自媒体进行思想政治教育能够促进老师与学生的信息沟通,增强思想政治教育的效果,但是也存在一定局限性,要与其他教育方式有机结合,才能更好地发挥作用。运用自媒体进行大学生思想政治教育要坚持正确导向、民主参与、贴近学生实际、协同运用各类资源的原则。

随着新媒体的发展,涌现出大量的新事物、新观念、新潮流,给大学生的价值观带来了一定的影响.校园媒体在推进大学生思想政治教育方面的作用不可忽视.以长春师范大学校媒联盟训练营为例,介绍融媒体的环境、校园媒体的作用等,分析校园媒体对当代大学生思想政治教育的作用,以此实现大学生对思想政治教育入脑人心.     

Sadistic scopophilia in contemporary rape culture: I Spit On Your Grave (2010) and the practice of “media rape”

This article revisits earlier theorisations of cinematic voyeurism and gender-based violence in considering the cross-media connections between cinema and non-consensual pornography online. In particular, it looks at how the remake of a significant rape-revenge film, I Spit On Your Grave (1978/2010), explores the role of technology in the perpetuation of female victimisation. By making a visible connection between the female character’s physical rape and the violation of her subjectivity performed through filming her without her consent, the film raises a larger social/media issue, which I call media rape. In offering a theorisation of this phenomenon, the article analyses the operation of the website creepshots.com, which distributes non-consensual photos of women. The comparison between these two texts promotes an understanding of the visual and discursive continuities between cinema and online spaces in relation to media rape and rape culture more generally. At a time when the distinction between the creators of and audiences for media content is less straightforward within the context of online media, sadistic scopophilia needs to be reconsidered in relation to medium specificity. Although it is already problematic in the cinematic context, when it extends to online media sadistic scopophilia becomes a human rights violation.     

现代化视野下的社会动员与辛亥革命——以四川保路运动为例

社会动员对于任何一场大规模的社会运动来讲都是十分重要的。辛亥革命是20世纪以来中国所发生的一次规模巨大的社会变革运动,这次革命的爆发与社会动员有着直接的关系,特别是作为辛亥革命导火索的四川保路运动之所以能够从文明争路发展为武装起义,除了深刻的政治、经济原因外,更与成功的社会动员有着密切的关系。四川保路运动社会动员与历史上传统的社会动员既有继承关系,但更主要的是还体现了时代的创新性,这是一种在现代化背景下所开展的社会动员,其领导者、动员方式、动员内容都有着根本的区别,不仅效果显著,而且对其后的各种社会动员都产生了示范作用。     

Cohort patterns in adult literacy skills: How are new generations doing?

Skills are core elements of the socio-economic prospects of individuals, while they also improve national productivity, growth and social cohesion. Understanding how skills evolve over time and what drives their evolution has become a policy priority of many European countries. Using the 1994–1998 International Adult Literacy Survey (IALS) and the 2012 Survey on Adult Skills (PIAAC) we build synthetic cohorts and examine how the population gains, loses or preserves cognitive skills (literacy) over time. While, as expected, deterioration in the level of skills due to ageing is common to almost all the European countries studied, for some of them concerns arise for the occurrence of skill deterioration across generations, especially among less well-educated and medium-educated individuals. Certain countries appear to be doing a poorer job in providing the necessary literacy skills over successive generations.

大众传媒所形塑的“富二代”形象主要表现为炫耀、绯闻和事故等方面。现代大众传媒对“富二代”话题具有报道内容的议程设置效应,现代大众传媒的运用产生了社会民众对“富二代”话题讨论的深度参与效应以及社会整体对“富二代”公共形象的交叉放大效应。为防止贫富阶层的恶性分化和刚性冲突,政府有必要从社会建设和社会管理层面采取相应措施避免媒体对“富二代”悲观预言的自我实现。     

Social messengers as the new frontier of organization-public engagement: A WeChat study

Mobile-based social messengers have overtaken social networking sites as the new frontier for organizations to engage online stakeholders. This study provides one of the earliest empirical investigations on the antecedents and relational outcomes of pubic engagement with companies via WeChat—one of the world’s most popular social messaging apps. Publics’ social messenger dependency and privacy perception of the medium are found to effectively drive public engagement, which in turn enhances organization-public relationships. Strategic guidelines based on the study findings are provided.     

The journalist as the audience: Evaluating the U.S. Navy’s “Sailor for a Day” campaign

This study demonstrates how focusing on the journalist as the audience of a media relations campaign can result in significant positive media coverage. Specifically, we examined the U.S. Navy’s “Sailor for a Day” campaign that invited media to experience a day in the life of a U.S. Navy sailor aboard an aircraft carrier. We propose that the “Sailor for a Day” campaign successfully influenced journalist perceptions and media coverage because 1) the pitch tied to programming needs; 2) uncommon access was granted; and 3) the journalist experience was a prominent feature of the media pitch.
