The purpose of the current study was to investigate how professional organizational culture and coping strategies (control coping and avoidance coping) related to workers' intentions to remain employed in child welfare. With a sample of 234 frontline workers employed in Department of Human Services-Division of Family and Children Services (DHS-DFCS) offices in a state in the Southeastern region of the U.S., the current study tested a model in which coping strategies mediate the relationship between professional organizational culture and workers' intentions to remain employed in child welfare. Structural equation modeling was used to test the proposed model. Results revealed that professional organizational culture and control coping were significantly and positively related to workers' intentions to remain employed in child welfare. In addition, control coping mediated the relationship between professional organizational culture and worker retention. On the other hand, a significant relationship between avoidance coping and workers' intentions to remain employed in child welfare was not found. Implications of the findings for practice and recommendations for future research are discussed. 相似文献

教师的职业认同,在近些年引起了广泛的关注。综观教师对职业中师生关系认同的理论基础及意义,师生关系是影响教师职业认同的关键因素。美国在这方面的实践充分地证实了这一点,即指导教师可以通过与新聘教师结成“工作联盟”,给新聘教师示范师生关系技能,形成他们对自己学生关系的认同,同时自身的职业认同得到进一步发展。通过分析我国新入职教师职业认同的现状,美国在这方面的实践值得国内人士借鉴,以培养新入职教师的职业认同感。 相似文献

近年来,专家民事责任问题已逐渐引起国内立法、司法及理论界的重视。国内民法典中构建该责任制度的思路为:首先,应以侵权行为篇规定为主,以合同篇规定为辅;其次,侵权行为篇中主要在分则"自己不当行为责任"中专设一节;再次,在合同篇总则中规定专家承担违约责任的基本依据,在分则的某些有名合同中规定专家的违约责任;最后民法典中仅规定专家责任的一般形态,各类专家的特殊问题应交由特别法去规定。 相似文献

This paper aims to describe research that examined the views of people with physical disability, living in Australia, of their sexual well-being needs from their own perspective. We explored the impact their sexual well-being needs had on their relationships with professional carers. A social model of disability was used to understand how sexual well-being is facilitated or denied in community care. We also explored whether clients' sexual well-being needs could be met without carers or clients 'crossing the line'. Our findings indicate the multiple ways that 'professional boundaries' were negotiated between clients and professional carers. The data show that the location of the 'line' changed, depending on a range of personal, social, economic and environmental factors. The data also show a gap between the sexual well-being needs of people living with a physical disability and the level of support provided at the social and organisational levels. As our awareness of the impact of globalising trends has increased, so too has social work's interest in international issues grown. At the same time, concerns have been raised about what constitutes international social work, and how this ‘international dimension’ might be introduced to social work students as part of their preparation for practice. This paper reports on a recently completed study which explored the different ways in which international issues are being addressed in social work programmes leading to the newly established three-year degree in social work across the UK. Based on an email survey of accredited programmes in England, plus a small number of follow-up interviews, findings are presented on the different approaches and innovations adopted in the development of curriculum with an international perspective. Discussion focuses on possible factors promoting and/or inhibiting the development of an international dimension within the qualifying curriculum. The paper concludes with some observations on how the different understandings of ‘international social work’ can contribute to a greater appreciation of global problems and alternative ways of responding to social needs at local, national and international levels. 相似文献
