未成年人犯罪案件社会调查制度冷思考

藉由基层司法机关之推动,大量运行于我国司法实践的未成年人犯罪案件社会调查制度面临诸多问题:合法性不足及其衍生的制度异化;调查过程走过场与调查结论不可靠;调查报告的肤浅粗放与调查结论的格式化;调查报告影响下的过分量刑迁就和盲目轻刑化.只有科学的制度设计才能彻底解决这些问题,社会调查制度才能回归其本义,也才可能在少年司法中发挥其应有的积极效用.     

Validity and reliability of proposed framework of manufacturing excellence in the Indian industry

This article presents the findings of the empirical study of proposed framework of manufacturing excellence (ME) in the Indian industry. The study includes companies from five major sectors, namely automobile, process, machines and equipment, electronics and components and textile. Responses from 90 companies were analysed to explore the validity and reliability of the proposed framework of ME in Indian industry. The developed questionnaire is outlined along with the results obtained from the analysis of the data from the Indian industry. The framework shows high level of reliability and validity.     

Encountering Microcomputers

Explored are the typical features of the experiences of first time, novice microcomputer users who are unfamiliar with basic computer equipment. Upon encountering a microcomputer for the first time such persons face a set of novel experiences including inadequate knowledge, altered sense of time, concerns about scarce capacity and dexterity, technological anxiety, and several other factors. Questions are raised about the consequences of encountering microcomputers among first time users in an effort to explicate the most important factors associated with successful accomodation. This analysis may provide helpful information for those engaged in computer training and staff development in the human services.     

平行法则：早期上古汉语中“者”的出现

文章为覆盖前期上古汉语Pre—archaic Chinese（公元前14世纪至公元前11世纪）与早期上古汉语Early—archaic Chinese（公元前11世纪至公元前6世纪）的历时性研究，目的在于更好地揭示早期上古时代所出现的“者”之功用。研究表明，“者”的功能与前期上古所出现的“之”的功能间存在着“平行对应”关系，我们将此关系定义为“平行法”机制，此机制从属于“类比”。存在于“之”与“者”之间的“平行法”机制可能促使了“者”的功能的涌现。     

地方院校人才培养中若干问题的调查研究

高等教育的国际化和大众化,既给地方高校带来了机遇,也带来了挑战,其中最突出的就是人才培养问题。如何培养和造就具有创新精神和创新能力的高素质人才,是地方院校亟待解决的重要课题。以我校调查问卷结果为切入点,力求理清目前地方院校人才培养的困境,进而提出合理的对策与建议。     

Investigating the Structural Validity of Ryff’s Psychological Well-Being Scales Across Two Samples

Ryff’s (1989b) Psychological Well-Being (PWB) scales measure six related constructs of human functioning. The present paper examined the validity of Ryff’s 6-factor PWB model, using data from a life events study (N = 401) and an organisational climate study (N = 679). Previous validation studies, using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), have identified alternative PWB models, but limitations include the use of shorter scale versions with items relating to a number of life domains within the same PWB factor, and failure to examine the influence of participants’ socio-demographic characteristics on PWB. In this study, Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) mostly found consistency in the PWB items and structure between the two studies whereby a 3-factor model delineated between items relating to Autonomy, Positive Relations and a super-ordinate factor comprising the other PWB factors. Using CFA, Goodness of Fit indices reached acceptable levels for the adjusted PWB model identified by the EFA, whilst differences between adjusted models of PWB previously identified in the literature were hardly evident. Post-hoc analysis by gender demonstrated socio-demographic effects on the structure and items that comprise PWB. Further development of PWB measures is needed to reflect its hierarchical and multi-dimensional nature. In the scales’ current form, the construct validation of the PWB factors will continue to be problematic and will fail to adequately evaluate the nature and impact of PWB.     

Social work values,anti-discriminatory practice and working with older lesbian service users

It has been suggested that social workers are not adequately meeting the needs of lesbians and gay men. This paper explores some of these concerns with reference to social work's theoretical underpinnings and value-base in relation to working with older, non-heterosexual women. The paper considers some of the particular issues that affect the lives and needs of older women whose primary relationships are or have been with other women. It concludes with a discussion of ways in which such issues may be addressed in social work education, training and practice.     

网络新闻道德失范问题研究

伴随着互联网技术的不断发展，网络新闻以其独有的传播方式，逐渐改变着传统媒体的传播格局，并且也由此逐渐产生了侵权与虚假新闻等网络新闻道德失范方面的问题，这些问题阻碍了网络新闻的健康发展。针对网络新闻道德失范中存在的具体问题，在对其原因进行充分分析的基础之上，提出了有实效性的应对策略，以期推动网络新闻道德建设不断向前发展。     

Methods used to teach social work students in the field: A research report from New Zealand

This article reports the findings of research conducted in three schools of social work in New Zealand on 'methods' used to teach social work students in the field. Students were polled before the first placement ( N = 80) to find how 'effective' they rated a range of teaching methods. This was followed up by a post-placement student survey ( N = 77) to ascertain the extent to which these same methods were employed by field educators. Pre- and post-placement student results were compared with the effectiveness ratings that field educators ( N = 130) gave to each method. Field educator and student pre-placement ratings listed most methods as being effective or very effective. Post-placement student survey results suggest consistent incongruity between the effectiveness ratings given to each 'method' by field educators, and the degree to which field educators actually utilised the methods with students during the field placement. Students report that methods enabling the direct observation of their practice were amongst those least used in the field.     

Data-dependent probability matching priors of the second order

In this paper, we consider the preliminary test approach for the estimation of the regression parameter in a multiple regression model under a multicollinearity situation. The preliminary test two-parameter estimators based on the Wald (W), likelihood ratio, and Lagrangian multiplier tests are given, when it is suspected that the regression parameter may be restricted to a subspace and the regression error is distributed with multivariate Student's t distribution. The bias and mean square error of the proposed estimators are derived and compared. The conditions of superiority of the proposed estimators are obtained. Finally, we conclude that the optimum choice of the level of significance becomes the traditional choice by using the Wald test.
