Introduction: international academic mobility and inequalities

ABSTRACT

Higher education is one of the social fields where inequalities are produced and reproduced. Nevertheless, we still know very little about the ways in which heterogeneities and inequalities have been experienced and interpreted by those involved in international academic mobility. In this introductory editorial, we consider some of the crucial conceptual issues involved in the study of the nexus between inequalities and international academic mobility. First, we argue that it is important to take manifold inequalities into account when examining this nexus. After all, inequalities can be detected at different levels, and the mobility process is structured around multiple heterogeneities rather than by a single one. Second, we discuss how international academic mobility and inequalities attached to it go beyond nation-state borders. Third, we argue it is beneficial to extend the scope of to the mobility process as a whole, as inequalities in opportunities and outcomes are intrinsically connected.     

网络版《中国药剂学杂志》的有益探索

学术期刊的网络版是学术期刊网络传播的最直接方式,不仅克服了印刷版期刊二次上网消耗能源和材料、增加出版时滞的弊端,也是符合学术期刊自身的传播与被利用特点,是学术期刊理想的出版方式。沈阳药科大学通过创办网络版《中国药剂学杂志》,为探索学术期刊特别是高校学报的网络版道路贡献了自己的力量。     

当代中国哲学社会科学的学术范式与文化自觉

自19世纪末以来,中国哲学社会科学有了三大思想文化资源：中国传统文化、马克思主义、西方思想文化。以何种方法和评价标准来整合这三大思想文化资源,成为以中国共产党代表的中国先进分子努力探索的历史性课题。中国特色、中国风格、中国气派是正确对待三大思想文化资源的学术范式。“马学为宗、国学为根、西学为鉴”是这一学术范式本质特征的综合体现。是当代中国的文化自觉。     

孔子的教育思想探究

《论语》是儒家学派创始人孔子言论的汇编,是儒家的经书。其中体现孔子教育思想方面的一些重要表述,如个性品质教育、坚持的教育准则、倡导的学习方法,经过两千余年教育史的验证,特别是经过现代教育理论的评断和现代教育实验的检验,充分证明是普遍性的教育规律,就是在未来教育中也定会闪烁其奕奕光彩。     

中国高等教育中的自主招生与人才选拔：来自北大、清华和人大的发现

本文通过对“首都大学生成长追踪调查”中三所精英大学（北京大学、清华大学和中国人民大学）具有代表性样本的数据分析,从教育公平和人才选拔效率两个角度检验了自主招生政策实施的效果。研究结果表明,从教育公平的方面来讲,获得自主招生破格录取的学生更有可能来自父母受过高等教育的家庭、城市家庭和好的重点高中。从人才选拔效率的角度来讲,获得自主招生破格录取学生的学业表现、社会活动能力、非认知能力、毕业后的计划和实际去向与统招学生却并无显著差别。本文的发现对于如何完善自主招生政策、促进教育公平、科学选拔和培养优秀人才等议题具有重要的政策启示意义。     

Piloting a social work doctoral programme: Ukraine’s vignette

In Ukraine the last decade was marked by significant changes in social work education development that evidence its academization and professionalization. International cooperation was a useful catalyst in these processes. The above has specific implications for developing the three cycles of social work education in Ukraine – Bachelor, Master and PhD programmes. Implemented in 2009–2012, an international project involving six European countries supported piloting of the first PhD programme in social work in Ukraine. This programme encountered a set of challenges that originated from the particularities of social work education in Ukraine and the broader academic context. Participatory observations and reflections demonstrate the challenges evident in Global North–Global South professional relations. Ukrainian social work education history evidences permanent localization of the international standards and experiences that have had various effects on social work academization.     

Restoring Meaning to Supervision Through a Peer Consultation Group in Rural Australia

The establishment of a cross-discipline peer consultation group in regional Australia is described. A research project, which explored the impact of the peer consultation on participants, using pre-group and post-group evaluation surveys along with data from an externally facilitated group evaluation session is discussed. Key findings reveal the value of access to varied modes of supervision; the importance of supervision not feeling like being subjected to surveillance; and the contribution that positive experiences of peer consultation have for our participants' well-being. The potential for improved connection and mutual benefits for practice and academia in sponsorship of professional peer consultation by regional universities also emerges from this research. The effectiveness of contemporary workplace counselling supervision arrangements, and of what, precisely, the enjoyment of engaging in case discussions in peer consultation groups is constituted are areas for more exploration.     

学术考辨与文史涵养不可或缺——兼与王辉斌先生商榷

学术研究是严肃而审慎的工作,凡从事者均宜黾勉以求博学、审问、慎思、明辨,不可因自身文史涵养的欠缺而出现常识性的错谬。文章撮举部分唐代文学研究著述因缺乏文史涵养而致误之例,分为不谙史实、不谙称谓、不谙校雠、不谙典制、不谙物候、不谙文体、不谙格律、不谙词义、不谙地理、不谙历算十类,以供参酌戒鉴。     

编辑审稿中的非学术因素及排除之策

学术期刊是学术和学科建设的重要阵地,应以学术性作为编辑审稿工作的唯一标准。然而,在现有学术评价体制的影响下,这一工作受到了诸多非学术因素的消极干扰,如以作者身份的高低而非稿件质量的高低来取舍稿件。这一非学术性倾向直接影响了审稿的公正性,也削弱了编辑审稿活动的意义,是学术评价异化的一种反映,不利于学术研究的正常进行和健康发展。编辑应该强化责任意识,自觉克服心理因素,排除思维定势,提高学术判断力,重视学术新人的发现和扶持,从而有效发挥学术期刊在学术和学科建设中的积极作用。     

论高校辅导员在学风建设中的作用

对合肥市七所高校的1 200名学生进行问卷调查,发现高校学风中存在一些问题,需要我们给予高度重视。高校辅导员具有管理与育人的双重身份,在学风建设中起着不可替代的作用。文章就高校辅导员如何充分发挥在学风建设中的作用,提出了一些意见。
