权力形变与资本迁移:发展主义语境下的国家与乡村关系———以四川板村工业园区环境污染纠纷调节机制为例

四川板村工业园区污染事件的处理过程及结果,折射出现代化浪潮之中,农村工业园区管委会、企业以及乡村社会之间的微妙关系,并直指这一关系产生的历史源头与政策支持。主流观点认为,“服务型冶政府确立之后,一系列政策都旨在重建农村、改造农业、造福农民。文章将针对此背景下国家与乡村社会关系的新形式,提出其遵循发展主义逻辑的实质:随着国家权力形态的转变,国家与乡村社会的关系逐渐从通过行政力量的统治直接征取税费,转变为通过推进乡村社会的商品化、工业化,将乡村社会本身纳入商品化的范畴中,并依此完成乡村服务于城市建设乃至国家发展的过程与机制。     

Global sport mega‐events and the politics of mobility: the case of the London 2012 Olympics

This paper examines the politics of mobility which surrounded the London 2012 Olympics. We provide a critical discussion of the mobility conflicts, problems and criticisms which emerged from our research with local people in the Stratford and wider Newham areas of London, where most Olympic events were located. The paper is divided into four broad parts. First, we identify and discuss the relevant components of the ‘mobilities paradigm’ in social science which underpin our analysis. Second, we briefly outline our research methods, centring particularly on fieldwork and interviews with different social groups. Third, we examine in detail the six main themes of mobility politics which were evident at London 2012, relating to social context, event construction, event mobility systems, commercial mobilities, the mobile politics of exclusion, and contested modes of mobility. In doing so, we seek to extend the mobilities paradigm by introducing various concepts and keywords – notably on the three‐speed city, entryability, mobility panics, instrumental mobility, and corporate kettling – which may be utilized by social scientists to examine mobility systems in other social contexts. We conclude by reaffirming the significance of mobility‐focused research at sport and other mega‐events, and by indicating future lines of inquiry for social scientists.     

摆动型生计：生计能力视域下的生存策略选择——以重庆市M镇易地扶贫搬迁安置点为例

易地扶贫搬迁背景下,生计能力显著地作用于搬迁户生计策略的选择。作为集主动性与反抗性于一体的分析范式,生计能力源于脆弱性与可持续生计研究中关于适应能力的探讨,是内生能力与外在资源赋予能力的结合体,是由能力与过程组合而成的能力结构。易地扶贫搬迁后续发展中,生计能力成为影响搬迁户脱贫致富的重要机制。搬迁户虽面临无土安置与行动能力低下的生存挑战,但易地扶贫搬迁提升了他们的自主选择能力。在选择与调适的过程中,受限于生计能力,搬迁户选择钟摆式流动的生存策略。通过此种方式,他们以生产性要素的“复制”与“转化”应对生计困境,较好适应了新环境,形成一种摆动型生计。     

共享出行的演化与创新

随着移动互联网技术的进步,共享出行市场快速成长,深刻地改变了传统的交通运输方式,改变了现有出行商业生态系统。为了更好地认识和理解共享出行,推动共享出行行业健康发展,运用服务管理、商业模式创新等理论和方法,系统梳理了共享出行的演化过程,分析了共享出行对于传统交通运输行业所带来的创新。研究认为,共享出行模式可有效提升出行效率,减少道路拥堵和污染物排放,因而受到世界各国的推崇和推广应用;与传统出行服务相比,共享出行强调根据需要短期购买使用权而非拥有所有权,实现“按需出行”,从而大幅节约居民出行成本;现有共享出行可划分为共享汽车和共享自行车两大类,其中,共享汽车又可进一步划分为C2C、B2C、网约车和拼车或合乘等模式,其对于传统出行服务体系的改进或创新,主要表现为服务化、平台化和生态化,即出行即服务（MaaS）、基于服务集成的出行平台以及基于共享的出行生态系统,这些创新必将推动传统交通运输服务体系转型升级。     

Spatial modeling of extreme rainfall in northeast Thailand

It is well recognized that the generalized extreme value (GEV) distribution is widely used for any extreme events. This notion is based on the study of discrete choice behavior; however, there is a limit for predicting the distribution at ungauged sites. Hence, there have been studies on spatial dependence within extreme events in continuous space using recorded observations. We model the annual maximum daily rainfall data consisting of 25 locations for the period from 1982 to 2013. The spatial GEV model that is established under observations is assumed to be mutually independent because there is no spatial dependency between the stations. Furthermore, we divide the region into two regions for a better model fit and identify the best model for each region. We show that the regional spatial GEV model reflects the spatial pattern well compared with the spatial GEV model over the entire region as the local GEV distribution. The advantage of spatial extreme modeling is that more robust return levels and some indices of extreme rainfall can be obtained for observed stations as well as for locations without observed data. Thus, the model helps to determine the effects and assessment of vulnerability due to heavy rainfall in northeast Thailand.     

A tale of four cities: the boundaries of blackness for Ethiopian immigrants in Washington,DC, Tel Aviv,Rome, and Melbourne

ABSTRACT

Scholars increasingly view urban areas as fragmented spaces where migrants are policed in ways that promote differential access to mobility, but the glocal meanings of race are often undertheorized. This paper explores the mobility experiences of Ethiopian migrants in four cities: Washington, DC, Tel Aviv, Rome, and Melbourne. Using a textual analysis of newspaper coverage in each city, the analysis finds that media and police often act as agents who racialize Ethiopian migrants relative to native minorities and other migrants. The paper concludes that the experiences Ethiopian immigrants faced in urban areas were informed by glocal meanings of race (blackness); they were shaped in relation to not only other migrants and native minorities, but also a globalized discourse on immigration.

Youth supervision while mothers work: a daily diary study of maternal worry

Using data from a daily diary study of hourly hotel employees in the US and their children, this study examined links between youth supervision arrangements and maternal worry while at work, examining both differences between individuals and day-to-day variation within individuals. Multilevel model analyses revealed both between- and within-person effects linking youth supervision to maternal worry. Mothers’ partner status functioned as moderator, and maternal knowledge also emerged as a protective factor when youth were in self-care, highlighting a potential target for future work–family interventions, particularly those for hourly employees with limited access to family-friendly workplace policies.
