外国直接投资区域性分布研究

利用我国1999年的相关数据,对外国直接投资区域性分布的特点进行了研究,并利用线形回归模型对影响FDI区域性分布的因素进行了统计检验和实证分析。结论表明,当前我国FDI区域性分布严重失衡,各地区的经济实力、投资环境和地理位置的差异是造成这种状况的主要因素。对中西部地区如何加大吸引外国直接投资的力度提出了建议,指出改善投资环境是中西部地区面临的首要任务。     

自主-依存框架下网络语言的生成机制

网络语言形成的机理同人们感知外界事物的认知特点有着紧密的联系。从认知语言学的角度,运用自主-依存分析框架解释了网络语言的生成机制,即网络语言的理解是一个在交际意向性的制约下和相邻／相似关系的作用下,通过拈连把自主成分和依存成分连通起来的认知推理过程。回答了以下两个问题：原语和网语的共核是什么;网语是如何从原语推衍过来的。

本文以比较分析的方法阐述地理标志创造限制性的具体表现、形成因素,提出地理标志有限优先保护的原则。     

Youth co-offending networks: An investigation of social and spatial effects

This research tests the relative contribution of social distance and spatial distance to the presence of ties between neighborhoods based on youth co-offending. Using official court data from a large U.S. metropolitan area, a set of dyad independence and exponential random graph models are estimated in order to investigate the characteristics of neighborhoods that foster co-offending. Results reveal significant effects of both social and spatial distance. Social distance contributes to network structure net of spatial proximity, though spatial factors better explain the overall network structure. These results have methodological implications for the analysis of spatial effects and criminal behavior.

From social representations to action: proximity and the relation between social representations of the development of intelligence and authoritative parenting style / De las representaciones sociales a la acción: proximidad y relación entre las representaciones sociales del desarrollo de la inteligencia y un estilo parental democrático

A well-established body of literature holds that the construction of social representations of intelligence is guided by the subjective inexplicability about the target-topic and by the social identities of subjects. Within the general framework of the sociogenesis of social representations, this article aims to explore the role of social positions in organizing an individual’s reported action towards the object of representation. A theoretical model which examines the relations between social representations of the development of intelligence, parental goals and the authoritative parenting style was tested in sub-samples of educators, which included 227 mothers, 117 fathers and 122 mother-teachers. Structural equation modeling procedures indicated, as hypothesized, that specific socio-cognitive dynamics are relevant in shaping the patterns of relations with the object of representation, suggesting that these dynamics are a result of the organization of multiple discourses where content, social positions and behavioural interaction are strongly intertwined. Theoretical contributions of findings are discussed.     

A lost conduit for intercultural education: school geography and the potential for transformation in the Australian Curriculum

Globalisation has increased the importance of schools as a space for developing cultural understandings within students. However, how this is translated into curriculum pathways within schools remains a matter for debate. Using the context of the new Australian national curriculum, this paper argues that notions of multicultural and intercultural education need to be updated to incorporate transculturalism. It further posits that the use of geography as a school-based forum for cultural education within national curriculum frameworks has been diminished, and that its reinvigoration ultimately depends upon a reaffirmation of ‘place’ that highlights a positive sense of difference.

在中国近代,严复最早批判否定了“天不变道亦不变”的不变论。他虽看到社会进化过程中善恶苦乐并进的现象,但并未由此陷入悲观,走向虚无。他始终否定英雄史观,并对英雄人物的历史作用作了比较科学的说明。对于刚传入中国的地理环境决定论,他作了比较正确的分析评价。他的渐进论虽有抵制革命的一面,但对反对速成论和重视人的近代化曾产生了积极影响。     

Residential proximity of parents and their adult offspring in the United Kingdom, 2009–10

Using data from a large household survey representative of the UK population, we studied how closely parents and adult children live to each other. We show that residential mobility over the life course tends to increase with the physical distance between the homes of parent and child. There are large differences in intergenerational proximity between the foreign-born and UK-born, and between ethnic groups. The determinants of intergenerational proximity from the parent's viewpoint are not identical to those from the child's viewpoint. Contrary to the findings of some earlier studies, intergenerational proximity, from the child's viewpoint, does not vary with the number of siblings. But from the parent's viewpoint, having more children is unambiguously associated with a higher probability of living close to at least one child. We end with a brief discussion of some possible implications of several long-term demographic trends in the UK for intergenerational proximity.
