文学地理与阎连科的乡土叙事有着密切的亲缘关系,一方面,通过对“耙耧山脉”的不断书写,阎连科建构了一隅能充分调动自己情感、想象及艺术创造的独特地理空间,这一文学地理也成为其创作成熟的重要标志;另一方面,“耙耧山脉”这块独特文学地理不仅塑造了阎连科的情感结构和价值取向,同时也深度地参与了其乡土小说的主题表达,叙事方式和话语风格。阎连科在建构了自己文学地理的同时,还深刻地意识到“耙耧山脉”这一狭小地理空间所蕴含的民族性、世界性,进而通过对地理的超越,使其乡土叙事获得了更为宽广的世界意义与人类意义。 相似文献

Because of the importance that geography plays in our understanding of economics, history, and politics, it has been argued that the subject should be taught to students beginning at the early elementary level, usually focusing on the family unit and local communities. However, when the proper technology tools and strategies are used, students at the kindergarten level can learn more complex concepts of geography and other social studies ideas and Common Core Standards. Encouraging elementary students to become aware of place and the role it plays in shaping their lives can provide them with a clearer sense of self and a greater appreciation for diversity. To support this premise, this article explores using six National Council for the Social Studies Notable Trade Books to assist primary students in their understanding of place. By using realistic fiction and nonfiction picture books that focus on children's lives in diverse locations, the suggested activities enable teachers to address the five themes of geography and promote cultural awareness to elementary students in meaningful ways. The author provides a summary of each book and describes student-centered activities to develop concepts related to the NCSS thematic strands of culture; people, places, and environments; and individual development and identity. 相似文献

人文地理学和社会学的空间研究是社会空间研究的两种路径。两个学科的空间研究都承认空间的社会性,并以社会和空间的辩证关系作为分析的核心。但两个学科的研究又存在差异,人文地理学本身就是一门空间科学,社会学则是把空间视角纳入社会理论的建构中。学科的共识和差异分别成为社会空间研究理论的建构基础和拓展动力。我们需要注意的是,社会空间探讨存在着诸如社会—空间二元分裂倾向、忽视时间等问题,这些问题阻碍了社会空间研究的发展,亦成为人文地理学和社会学面临的共同难题。 相似文献

ABSTRACTIt is difficult to deny that technology – be it listening to music through headphones, engaging with smartphone apps or conversing through hands-free headsets – has become a ubiquitous part of everyday walking practices, influencing daily activities and shaping how these are operationalised. While digital technologies cannot replace conventional interactions with landscapes (e.g. the weather, clothing, street furniture, etc.), the intersections of people, places and technologies can converge in exciting and surprising ways to produce new forms of interrelating with(in) spaces. In this paper, I focus on the digital walking tour as a novel instrument through which to examine how mobility-technology assemblage assists with understanding how engagements with environments might produce various, contrasting assemblages of mobilities, bodies, affects, emotions and placemaking. I argue that participating within hybridised physical/digital spaces affects and is affected by different mobility practices. Through this paper, I propose that mobility-technology assemblage thinking provides new interventions into the ways in which people interact with technology, with each other and with(in) everyday spaces. Hence, while the person–technology interface may be considered a largely individual experience, I posit that the amalgamation of people, places and technologies can, in fact, greatly influence how pedestrian experiences are assembled, transmitted, received and interpreted. 相似文献

This paper looks at creative or smart city experiments around the world that are aimed at nurturing a creative economy through investment in quality of life which in turn attracts knowledge workers to live and work in smart cities. It highlights the need for and broad nature of human resource/talent development initiatives at the intermediate level, that is regional and city level, as opposed to organizational and national level. Using the literature on economic geography, it provides a useful theoretical framework to cross organizational boundaries and look for factors that influence the decision of knowledge workers in choosing a location to live and work.
