针对德州学院理学类统计学专业的现状,从培养创新性应用型人才的角度出发,对该专业培养模式进行了深入的探讨,构建了科学的课程体系,优化了教学模式,取得了显著的教学效果。

探讨了基于国家行业职业资格标准的高职课程建设中关于课程标准、教学内容、实践技能、考核评价体系以及教学团队等主要方面的建设思路。并以江苏城市职业学院应用电子技术专业的技术应用课程——电子产品调试与检验为例,阐述了该课程基于国家行业职业资格标准开发与建设的具体情况。     

Community Relationships and the Course in Social Problems

This article describes the Native American History in a Box curriculum which is designed to introduce elementary and middle-level students to Native American cultures. The curriculum consists of a five day unit addressing the following concepts pertaining to Native American Nations: settlements, tools, sustenance, pottery, and contact with Europeans. In addition, the development of the curriculum, the daily lessons, and the activities are discussed. Each daily lesson includes step-by-step instructions and the required materials. Finally, the authors discuss some of the pragmatic issues that influenced the development and implementation of the curriculum.     

Recent Happenings in the Social Studies

Students often bring considerable prior information about the Holocaust to their study of the event, with much of that knowledge being inaccurate or incomplete. In addition, the Shoah's complexity necessitates that teachers establish a well-defined framework as they introduce the topic to their students. This article outlines an opening lesson for a Holocaust unit in which students develop a definition of the event by completing a multistep process that deconstructs the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum's definition of the Shoah. Through this process, teachers gain valuable information about students’ prior knowledge while establishing a structured approach to the teaching of the event. In addition, students’ content knowledge of the Shoah is expanded as critical topics about the event are introduced at the start of their study of the topic.     

A United States History Card Game

Learning social studies curriculum can present challenges for English-language learners (ELLs). The language used to present concepts is often decontextualized and abstract, making it difficult for these students to understand the content and have successful learning experiences. In this article, the authors describe strategies elementary teachers can use to make social studies content more comprehensible to ELLs and engage them to become active participants in their learning. They discuss three strategies in-depth and explain particular teaching techniques, such as the use of graphic organizers. Teaching vignettes illustrate ways these strategies can be implemented in the classroom to help ELLs be successful in acquiring social studies knowledge and inquiry skills while developing critical English language arts proficiencies.     

Teaching crisis management in Arab universities: A critical assessment

This research looks at the teaching of crisis management at the colleges and departments of communication and public relations in the Arab world. Major findings of the study suggest that out of 24 colleges and departments of communication and public relations surveyed by this research, only two universities teach the course crisis management in their curriculum. The latest developments in the Arab world dictate new mechanisms in managing information and news and dealing with publics and the mass media locally and internationally. The new trends of teaching crisis management focus on the multidisciplinary approach which consists of a good knowledge of news management, dealing with the media, dealing with people, business administration, information technology, social and anthropological context. All these fields of knowledge are indispensable for understanding the general background of the issues and for choosing and selecting the best communication and persuasion techniques and tactics to manage crises effectively and successfully.

在开放武教师教育背景下,对有志于从事基础教育的大学生,通过“3＋1”教师职业技能训练模式,在“三导师协同”指导下,通过“流水线”的训练程序,进行教师职业认识能力、职业知识能力、职业执行能力和职业发展能力的训练,辅助以“多维”评价和“永续性”跟踪服务,有效提高教育教学能力。     

《面向对象程序设计》课程教学改革的探索与实践*

《面向对象程序设计》是信息管理与信息系统专业的一门重要专业基础课程。这里结合安徽财经大学信息管理与信息系统专业《面向对象程序设计》课程组所进行的教改项目进行研究,针对其教学和考核环节中所存在的诸多问题作以探讨,提出相应的改革措施和方案加以实践。事实证明,改革实践效果良好。
