The Contribution of NPOs to Family Policy Formulation in EU Member and Applicant States

This paper examines the role of nonprofit organizations (NPOs) in the process of family policy formulation in eight member states and three applicant states of the European Union. Drawing upon interviews with representatives from the nonprofit sector, the author argues that the experiences of NPOs in family policy-making vary considerably between countries because of the way state–nonprofit relations operate. Social origins theory illustrates why these variations exist by pointing to broad societal influences on the nonprofit sector, but new empirical evidence presented here suggests that, in a particular policy field, other factors, such as the significance of the field on policy agendas, the strength of one particular organization in a specific cultural context, party ideology, and financial viability of the NPO, shape the role of organizations in the formulation of policies     

民族自治地方农村养老问题与对策初探——以黔东南州锦屏县为例

民族自治地方农村养老工作与构建社会主义和谐社会、社会主义新农村建设、“三农”问题等紧密相关，养老工作能否解决好直接影响到农村的社会稳定、社会的和谐发展和“三农”问题的解决。民族自治地方农村经济相对落后、经济发展不平衡、人口分布不均衡、农村老年人口日益增多、农民工大量外出等现实，给传统养老方式带来了历史性的冲击。这要求建立具有时代特色和地方特色的养老方式。本文在进行充分的实地调查、分析黔东南苗族侗族自治州锦屏县农村现行的养老方式现状、养老方式存在问题的基础上，结合当地实际情况和借鉴其他地方的成功养老方式，提出具体可行的对策。     

STTEPping in the right direction? Western classical music in an orchestral programme for disadvantaged African youth

This article looks at STTEP, an outreach project currently housed at the University of Pretoria, which concentrates on the teaching of western orchestral instruments, plus background areas such as music theory, to disadvantaged children and youth from a variety of townships around Pretoria, South Africa. STTEP’s direction can well be described as ‘right’ – pupils are already surrounded by all kinds of global phenomena, and their formal music studies in western classical music are not making them forget their roots. In fact, the contrary has been found to be the case and some interesting cultural fusions are already seen – always a sign of a living culture.     

张孝祥的禅宗思想及禅学渊源

张孝祥的思想颇多禅宗随缘妙悟的成分。其禅学思想主要来自于两个方面：一是宋代浓厚的的禅学氛围和禅宗学说；二是张孝祥家族笃信佛教的传统。张孝祥与禅宗的重要宗派临济宗的高僧多有交往，并崇信高僧大慧宗杲的学说。而其家族对佛教有虔诚的信仰，张孝祥自小耳濡目染，深受其影响。     

Attracting Micro‐Enterprises To Learning

Micro‐enterprises, i.e. firms with less than 10 employees, are traditionally the hardest to engage in learning; they are also least likely to participate in such measures as business advice and guidance provision and initiatives to support information communication technology (ICT) adoption. Through a community‐based initiative initially targeting parents (unemployed or employed) to participate in ICT, 30 micro‐enterprises were attracted to learning for the first time. These companies had carefully avoided similar initiatives taking place locally, which emphasized business success and growth; they had only participated in this ICT skills training because of their children. The paper takes a case study approach to evaluate the reasons for participation, explores barriers and implications for those organizing similar activities, and calls for a more holistic view of owners and managers of small firms as fathers, mothers, etc. rather than just as ‘entrepreneurs’.

我国家族企业“富不过三代”现象引起了人们的极大关注。笔者认为,家族式企业裂解的制度原因在于产权制度的排他性、委托代理的高风险性以及人才选拔的制度封闭性。     

家族企业管理模式变革的实证研究

文章简要回顾了国内外学术界对家族企业的研究成果 ,根据我国私营企业发展现状 ,提出了在现阶段我国家族企业发展的两个假设 ,即 :两权 (所有权和管理权 )所有的家族企业是私营企业创业时期的首选 ;制度环境 (市场体系完善、法律健全、文化先进等 )状况促进或阻碍家族企业两权分离的发生。并用理论和统计数据分析、实证了家族企业管理模式及其影响因素     

Imagined Memories

Most discussions of popular music on the Internet focus on the utopian potential of new file-sharing technologies, yet applications that reproduce existing inequalities also deserve attention. Webcasting is the streaming (transmission) of digital video to multiple recipients in cyberspace. Paul McCartney's Webcast from the Cavern was a landmark case. It was a digital package staged for reproduction, and yet it felt live; in this article I explore why and offer a two-part explanation. The first part is that "live'-ness is based on an increasingly false opposition to recording, but, because that opposition still remains, Little Big Gig could seem live by adopting some trappings associated with it. The second part is that Internet use is mediated by daily life and computer users brought their own desire to the Webcast, in particular desires to see a Beatle play in the Cavern. Webcasting is an unanticipated use of the Internet that is being used to support corporate interests. With its widespread publicity, Little Big Gig helped naturalize that process.

多媒体呈现流程的形式化描述及内容表示

交互式多媒体呈现系统一般由呈现内容和呈现控制流程两部分组成。通过引入通用转换网络,对交互式多媒体应用系统的内部呈现流程进行了形式化描述;讨论了该形式化描述下呈现流程的重用性;提出了将呈现流程与呈现内容相分离的系统实现策略;给出了呈现内容描述和可呈现对象相结合的呈现内容表示方法。该策略和方法可用于设计实现交互式多媒体呈现系统创作平台,利用该平台创作的呈现系统能够并发地呈现多种媒体形式的信息,系统及其组成部件具有良好的可重用性。
