中国传统家文化对古代家庭教育的影响

中国传统文化中家文化居于核心地位,家文化既包括整个大家族系统内部的文化,又包括个体的家庭内部的文化。在中国人的价值系统中家的意识具有核心价值的作用,而以子女教育为核心的家庭教育是家族延续的关键因素,因而中国人十分重视家庭教育,这种重视通过家庭教育的思想、内容体现出来。     

The Skew‐normal Distribution and Related Multivariate Families*

Abstract. This paper provides an introductory overview of a portion of distribution theory which is currently under intense development. The starting point of this topic has been the so‐called skew‐normal distribution, but the connected area is becoming increasingly broad, and its branches include now many extensions, such as the skew‐elliptical families, and some forms of semi‐parametric formulations, extending the relevance of the field much beyond the original theme of ‘skewness’. The final part of the paper illustrates connections with various areas of application, including selective sampling, models for compositional data, robust methods, some problems in econometrics, non‐linear time series, especially in connection with financial data, and more.

中国传统家庭伦理观念对现代家庭道德建设具有深刻影响和当代功用。其主要内容如父慈子孝、长尊幼卑、谨身节用、齐家兴国等积淀着中华民族文化心理诸多方面,良莠并存。现代家庭道德建设要批判地继承传统家庭伦理,既要深入挖掘优良传统,积极提升人伦价值,提倡艰苦奋斗,树立良好家风,又要注意克服消极因素,防止传统陋习死灰复燃。     

The Visibility of Feminist Thought in Family Studies

We assessed feminist visibility in family journals by tallying the feminist content of articles in Journal of Marriage and Family, Journal of Family Issues, and Family Relations. There was an increase in feminist visibility from 1972 to 1992, at which point the growth of visibility stalled. From 1992 to 2002, almost 1 out of 4 articles appeared to be influenced, at least minimally, by feminist scholarship when including in our tally a measure of articles' mentioning of gender in its abstract or title without a detectable feminist perspective in the article. Only about 6% of articles, however, involved an explicit feminist analysis. We offer explanations for this apparent glass ceiling for feminist visibility and make suggestions for future research.     

Multiple forms of violence and other criminal activities as an indicator of severe child maltreatment

Child protection practice still appears to view child maltreatment as an event largely isolated from other family violence and criminal activities. Research undertaken by the authors suggests that children who have been subjected to the more severe forms of abuse are likely to have come from families who engage in several forms of criminal activity, inside and outside the family, which is often severe in nature. The child who has been maltreated may also become a participant in these activities. The authors recommend that these factors should be investigated in families who have maltreated a child, as the presence or absence of several forms of concurrent violence and other criminal activity may provide an important clue about the welfare of the child. When Baby Brings the Blues: Family Therapy and Postnatal Depression

Postnatal depression impacts on a significant number of women and their families. As a topic it is attracting much interest from researchers as we become clearer about its impact on the long‐term mental health of both women and their partners, as well as on the couple's relationship and their children's mental health. This article will provide a brief overview of postnatal depression and the current research associated with it, and consider the usefulness of systemic family therapy interventions. Examples of these are included along with a clinical vignette.     

How do cohabiting couples with children spend their money?

Increasing rates of cohabitation in the United States raise important questions about how cohabitation fits in with the definition of family. Answers to this question depend in part upon the extent to which cohabitors’ behavior differs from that of other family types. Using data from the Consumer Expenditure Survey, we compare the expenditure patterns of cohabiting‐parent (n = 1,804), married‐parent (n = 33,159), divorced single‐parent (n = 7,641), and never‐married single‐parent (n = 2,893) families. We find that cohabiting‐parent families, compared to married‐parent families, spend a greater amount on 2 adult goods (alcohol and tobacco) and a smaller amount on education. Cohabiting‐parent families also differ in their spending patterns from divorced single‐parent families and from never‐married single‐parent families. Overall, our results show that cohabiting‐parent families allocate their budgets differently than do other families.

根据美国心理学家班杜拉的观察学习理论,本文从青少年对流行音乐的心理需求和流行音乐自身特点两个方面,对流行音乐在青少年中占有相当市场进行了原因分析,并对其在青少年中产生的影响进行了客观剖析,向广大传媒及成人社会提出注意的问题,让他们有意识地引导青少年正确面对流行音乐。     

小组活动——英语课堂上的一种有效的互动活动

本文首先分析了由单一的全班授课的教学模式所带来的弊端,提出将小组活动引入课堂教学以实施有效的英语语言教学的观点。认为小组活动是一种有效的互动活动,有助于培养学生的英语交际能力,而这正是语言教学和学习的最终目的。
