“It’s a generosity loop”: Religious and spiritual motivations of volunteers who glean produce to reduce food insecurity

Food insecurity is a common social issue and households look to assistance from food pantries, which often have difficulty supplying fresh or nutritious food. A substantial amount of produce is left in the fields, which can be collected through gleaning. In a focus group with volunteer gleaners at a faith-based nonprofit organization that attempts to fill the gaps of food insecurity, the motivations, challenges, and benefits of volunteering were examined. Volunteering in gleaning generated a sense of collective purpose and community; it addressed deeply held religious and spiritual impulses; and it puts volunteers directly in contact with nature.     

The effects of perceived quality of organizationally provided meal service on employees’ job performance and mediating role of organizational identification

Contemporary managers are developing alternative ways to sustain their competitive advantages. Motivation-enhancing features such as high-quality meal service provided by organizations can be thought of as one of these methods. The effect of the perceived quality of meal service provided by organizations on the job performance of employees and the mediating role of organizational identification during this process is studied. Private security-sector employees working in Turkey (N?=?597) are being focused in this study. As a result of analyses (correlation and regression analyses, structural equation model), the authors find that the perceived quality of meal service provided by organizations improves employees’ job performance significantly and organizational identification has a partial mediating role on this association. The findings of this study will be of interest to key stakeholders such as public or private organizations, labor unions and the media.     

Getting to Where You Want to Go: Designing Information Systems and Using Your Data Through the Application of Analytics and Informatics

ABSTRACT

This article, based on the closing session from the 2017 NC Serials Conference, describes a systems perspective where data serve as both real-time and summative information and knowledge about how an organization is performing, what services and resources its users are using and interacting with, and areas for which the organization is doing well or needs improvement. The author posits that data are most useful when the context is informed by clear goals that provide a direction to where the organization is and wants to be. Applied examples are discussed for several environments, including an academic department, school of education, regional libraries, and public libraries.     

The effect of different data structures,sample sizes on model fit measures

In this study, our aim was to investigate the changes of different data structures and different sample sizes on the structural equation modeling and the influence of these factors on the model fit measures. Examining the created structural equation modeling under different data structures and sample sizes, the evaluation of model fit measures were performed with a simulation study. As a result of the simulation study, optimization and negative variance estimation problems have been encountered depending on the sample size and changing correlations. It was observed that these problems disappeared either by increasing the sample size or the correlations between the variables in factor. For upcoming studies, the choice of RMSEA and IFI model fit measures can be suggested in all sample sizes and the correlation values for data sets are ensured the multivariate normal distribution assumption.     

乡村振兴与健康乡村研究述评

以CNKI数据库中的311篇CSSCI来源期刊论文以及Web Of Science平台中的716篇核心合集库文献作为研究样本,运用CiteSpace5.6.R2软件进行可视化计量分析,发现既有健康乡村研究文献的主要议题有乡村居民个体健康影响因素、乡村中的特殊群体健康、乡村健康风险与健康保障三个方面,国内研究与国外研究在议题设置阶段上有些许差别。进一步分析可知,国内研究将集中于乡村振兴战略和乡村治理现代化,相关重点议题有:“大健康”理念下的健康乡村研究、健康乡村政策研究、健康乡村韧性度提升研究、数字化健康乡村研究。     

医疗技术管理的伦理建制

医疗技术的快速发展在促进人类健康的同时,也带来了许多道德风险,产生许多负面的社会问题。为了实现医疗技术的科技价值、经济价值与社会价值的平衡,应该建立和完善医疗技术的伦理评估制度,恢复医疗技术活动的人文关怀,加强医疗技术人员的责任伦理建设,建立和完善医疗技术的临床准入制度。     

1998年、2008年两次国务院机构改革“三定”规定比较研究——基于政府职能转变的视角

改革开放以来,国务院相继经历了6次比较大的机构改革,纵观这6次机构改革.尤以1998年和2008年的动作幅度最大、影响范围最广且具有标志性的意义.1998年和2008年这两次机构改革,都是以职能转变是政府机构改革的核心,但这两次又有所不同.本文通过两次机构改革中形成的"三定规定"的研究,以政府职能转变为视角,分析我国行政管理体制取得的进展与成就,同时根据服务型政府建设的要求,找出不足,明确下一步改革的方向,这对于进一步深化行政管理体制改革、建设人民满意的服务型政府具有重要意义.     

企业家领导风格与民营企业组织变革——案例的比较与分析

民营企业的管理现状和特征决定了其要发展壮大就必须进行组织变革,通过对两家背景相似的企业集团——远东控股集团和T公司组织变革的比较分析,发现企业家领导风格对企业变革的绩效有很大影响:相对于权威型、魅力型和家长式领导风格,变革型、交易型、民主型领导风格通过增强变革动力,降低变革阻力对变革效果产生更大的正效应。     

组织学习主体:哲学与嵌入性视角的分析

组织学习主体的定义是开展组织学习研究的重要逻辑起点,但目前关于组织学习主体的考察尚缺乏一致认识,这已经制约了组织学习研究的深入开展.本文基于哲学视角,依据组织学习的过程对组织学习主体进行了分析,基于社会学嵌入性理论对组织学习主体的社会-个人特征进行了分析.     

企业管理人员工作价值观、组织忠诚度现状及相关性研究

通过对企业管理人员的工作价值观、组织忠诚度现状及二者的相关关系进行实证研究发现,企业管理人员相对看重内在工作价值和外在工作价值,而对外在报酬价值相对不看重;组织忠诚度呈现出组织认同、敬业度相对较高,而归属感相对较低的特点;二者关系表现为内在价值观、外在价值观与组织忠诚度存在正相关,而外在报酬与组织忠诚度相关性不显著.
