Environmental Sustainability and Social Work: A Rural Australian Evaluation of Incorporating Eco-Social Work in Field Education

Climate change poses significant threat to the wellbeing of global society. Addressing this change has as yet generated no fixed blueprint for social work practice and education. This paper reports on a formative evaluation of one Australian initiative to address this transformative opening in social work field education. Prompted by service users' and workers' experience of the impact of drought, a rurally located social work course team amended the field education curriculum to include a focus on Environment and Sustainability. This learning goal was added to the existing learning goals derived from the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) Practice Standards. Students and field supervisors were surveyed on their experience of meeting this new learning goal. While most expressed confidence in understanding the concepts involved, they clearly lacked assurance in interpreting these in practice encounters. Considering their qualitative input suggests that this topic is making a transition from being on the margins of social work to becoming mainstream. Their open-ended responses indicate that the incorporation of environmental sustainability into practice is at a threshold stage of development. Further enactment of eco-social work at the local level is concluded to be supported by using a transformative learning framework in facilitating critical reflection and collaborative dialogue for effective change.     

Speed Mentoring in Teaching and Learning: Young people with experience of the care system mentor social work students

The value of listening and talking to young people with experience of the care system has been recognised as a vital and positive contribution to social work students' learning. A model of co-production was used to develop a series of speed mentoring events whereby social work students placed in local authority children and family settings were mentored by young people with experience of the care system. This tentative review of this small-scale project shares the authors' critical reflections on the value and reliability of this model, for evaluating the outcomes of co-productive mentoring relationships between young people and social work students. The reversal of the power dynamic between student and service user contributed to the unsettling of assumptions about each other and empathy for each other's role. The student authors reflect on learning about the child's experience that has influenced their practice. The mentor authors welcomed the opportunity to participate in the development of ‘young people friendly’ social workers. Suggestions are made as to how this model could be developed to contribute to a more systematic approach to the role of service users in mentoring, advising and contributing to the supervision process of students and social workers.

在对社会网络和高校学习型团组织发展背景进行分析的基础上,基于社会网络理论,以某高校团校的网络平台为例,分析了该平台中组织成员的地位、网络的聚集性、群体的分布及成员的学习态度等,发现社交网络中学习型团组织平台中成员的角色与地位与实际人际关系有着密切联系,网络聚集程度高,且存在大量群体,群体成员的学习态度也有较大的差别,对待不同任务的态度也有较大的差别。     

从“暴走漫画”看视觉审美素养教育

以大学生网络漫画中流行的“暴走漫画”为切入点,在肯定网络美术作品用自主参与的草根式绘画语言反映学生心理与生活状态的同时,指出了由于大学生自身视觉审美素养不足而造成的在网络美术鉴赏与创作中亚审美流行、实践能力缺失、网络审美意识淡漠等问题。分析了在高校美术素质教育体系中建设网络美术鉴赏与实践类课程,在课堂中引导学生以高水准的鉴赏与创作能力参与网络美术传播的意义。     

从事故中学习:事故调查的社会因素及其制度安排

作为安全知识的重要来源之一,事故不但为人类带来了科学、技术、管理知识,同时也带来了具有隐性知识特征的操作技能知识。从知识的视角来分析并理性看待安全生产事故发生的不可避免性,是从事故中进行安全学习的前提。通过分析事故原因并将事故的经验教训知识化,有助于明晰从事故中学习的内容。事故中包含多个利益相互交错博弈且具有明显的"碎片化特质"的利益相关者。事故调查作为一个从负面后果探究发生原因的特殊学习过程,其质量在受到调查技术、调查方法等技术因素影响的同时,更与外界社会因素的影响息息相关,会受到诸多利害关系的掣肘,其有效性在很大程度上取决于法律和机构设置等相关制度安排。     

发凡起例别创一格--孙昌武、孙逊、王青的宗教文学研究

20世纪的道教文学研究取得了较为丰硕的成果,其中孙昌武、孙逊、王青教授的唐代道教文学研究、宗教叙事学研究、道教神话研究在方法论上自成一格,值得认真总结。王青的《汉朝的本土宗教与神话》是一部理论建构与文献阐释的神话学力作。孙昌武的《道教与唐代文学》对于唐代炼丹术、神仙术、宫观文化和三教调和思想与唐代文学的复杂关系进行了描述和分析,揭示了唐代道教的政治化、学理化、世俗化和美学化倾向及其对唐代文学产生的深刻影响。孙逊的《中国古代小说与宗教》一书在内容上着重探讨了古代小说的历史渊源、文化价值和诗学建构,在方法上既注重史料的充分占有又注重思辨的缜密细致,以专题的形式凸现了古代小说与宗教的历史变迁。     

投资决策中的管理者市场学习效应

以2008-2013年的非金融类 A股上市公司为研究对象,考察管理者在做投资决策时是否会进行市场学习,即依赖市场股价信息调整投资决策。研究发现,投资水平与股价水平成正比。而股价中的投资者私人信息含量能提高投资与股价之间的敏感度。并且,在股权集中度较高、独立董事比例较高以及成长行业的企业中,管理者更有可能利用股价信息相应地调整投资决策。进一步研究发现,管理者的市场学习起到了提高企业业绩的作用。     

生活的实践：新生代农民工的消费文化逻辑

针对新生代农民工的消费文化问题进行了实证调查,发现在流动的消费空间实践中,新生代农民工的消费文化有向城市社会靠近的趋势,但受传统习俗和价值规范影响,亦无法与城市消费文化融为一体,其现代建构将是长期的过程,可以通过新生代农民工城市空间的实践意义的重构来完成。
