“What Kind of People Do You Think We Are?”: The Scenography of Gypsy Performances of Difference

In Parakalamos (a village in NW Greece) Gypsyness, historically constituted as a “disheveled otherness,” claims a space of encounter with people and actions that are “other,” but also arise from within, ossified, but also ephemeral and fleeting. By exploring the way Gypsies in Parakalamos discussed and experienced processes of identification, I shift the issue of Gypsy otherness away from the well-ordered schema of neatly divided communities usually found within Gypsy ethnography, and I am concerned with the scenography of Gypsy difference: drawing upon a more general discussion on stereotypes, identity, and difference, I explore the situatedness, instability and partial character of Gypsy performances of difference, which nonetheless cannot lie outside the topography of marginality in and through which Parakalamos Gypsies have emerged as particular historical subjects.     

《许三观卖血记》“前景化”直接引语的美学价值

《许三观卖血记》是一部主要由人物直接引语叙述修辞来展示的小说,大量直接引语的配备增强了文本的直接性、生动性和戏剧性,对塑造人物性格起到了很好作用。但文本中也存在许多有悖于相关准则的直接引语现象：从直接引语的结构来看,文本中存在少量直接引语的变异形式;从叙述的流利性来看。有的直接引语并不干净利落,显得相当笨拙;从人物对话原原本本的记录来看,有的直接引语不符合现场对话的叙述语境;从特殊的音响效果来看,有些直接引语与人物特定的心理状态不相吻合,等等。这些具有“前景化”特征的直接引语,对凸显文本主题具有重要的美学意义。     

The effects of social power and disparagement humor on the evaluations of subordinates

Abstract

This article examines the effects of social power and disparagement humor on the evaluation of subordinates. According to prejudiced norm theory, it is proposed that powerful people, compared with the powerless, are more likely to negatively evaluate subordinates when exposed to disparagement humor against subordinates. To test this hypothesis, two studies were conducted. Study 1 (N = 116) aimed to analyze and select humorous material (neutral vs. disparagement humor against subordinates) that allowed us to test our hypothesis. Study 2 (N = 116) investigated the effect of the exposure to disparagement humor in people who hold or not a power position. Results showed an interaction between power and type of humor: when powerful people were exposed to disparagement humor they evaluated subordinates worse than the powerless, whereas when they were exposed to neutral humor there were no differences between groups. The implications of these results are discussed.

‘Always up for the craic’: young Irish professional migrants narrating ambiguous positioning in contemporary Britain

This paper explores the experiences of recent Irish highly qualified migrants who, having left post-Celtic Tiger Ireland, arrive in post-‘Peace Agreement’ Britain. Our paper contributes to understanding the enduring salience of place and how expressions of identities are framed by specific place-based factors as well as by temporality. We explore how these migrants’ narratives, as ‘successful’ professionals, are framed by complex intersections of historical legacies and changing socio-economic and intra-EU migration patterns. We consider the extent to which residual anti-Irish stereotypes remain, or indeed have re-emerged since the economic recession, and how these negative perceptions may impact on expressions of Irishness. Focusing on accents and other markers of identity, we discuss how Irishness may be constructed through a spectrum of visibilities at different times and in different places. This spatial-temporal perspective may help to go beyond a simplistic, one dimensional ethnic lens by highlighting the contextualities of identities.     

形象类修辞在副刊标题中的运用

一个好的标题往往是一篇文章的再创作,它甚至可以吸引一部分对文章内容不感兴趣的受众仔细阅读文章。本文选择《新民晚报》副刊《夜光杯》进行研究,希望以此为引子,分析副刊中标题修辞的运用。     

女性意识是革命意识形态的剩余物——“十七年电影”底层女性的群体特点

新中国成立后,电影根据国家意识形态的需要,配合主流政治,用革命话语对传统故事形式进行了全面的征用与改造,特别是借用底层妇女的形象,以建构个人对阶级的归属及对政党的服从关系,用现代革命话语完成对传统意识形态的替换。这类影片虽然集中塑造了女性角色,但仍然是一套男权话语的言说机制;无产阶级革命话语对女性意识具有内在的排斥性。女性承担了对主流意识形态的建构功能,但却没有对女性自身的言说,只是阶级符号而非性别代表。新中国十七年很少有真正意义上的现代女性电影。     

论“人肉搜索”的合法性及其法律规制

＂人肉搜索＂作为中国社会转型时期的特定产物尽管存在着诸多不足,但其维护正义及公益性本质为其自身发展提供了广阔的空间。目前我国对＂人肉搜索＂还没有明确的立法,因此对其加以理性的法律约束与道德考量则具有重要的现实意义。借助法律的控制手段规约＂人肉搜索＂,可以避免其可能产生的隐患,发挥其积极效应,促进其健康发展。＂人肉搜索＂的出路一方面在于提高网民自治,另一方面有赖于对我国现有法律体系加以解释,提高现有法律对＂人肉搜索＂的适应能力,完善网络法规对＂人肉搜索＂进行规范和引导。     

中国特色网络文化语境下网络公共空间的建构与升级——对人民网“强国论坛”的历史回顾与多维思考

网络文化的特性促进了网络公共空间的建构。中国特色的网络文化语境,赋予公共空间新的价值内涵与职责担当。本文在研究网络公共空间建构机制的基础上,旨在对其提出升级完善之策,以求网络公共空间能在监测环境、引导舆论及传达民意等方面发挥出具有更大价值的建设性作用。     

论话语理解的认知基础——意向性

胡塞尔、塞尔等的研究表明:意向性是一种心智能力,是人类心智对客观世界的"指向"或"关于";塞尔进一步认为语言的产生依赖于意向性,意向性是言语行为的基本特征,是语言哲学的基础;语言是一种社会现象,意向性具有社会属性,集体意向性是意向性社会性的体现。徐盛桓的"基于心理模型的常规推理"的理论进一步证实语言和意向性的紧密联系。以这一理论为指导,通过例证分析,我们发现,集体意向性在话语理解中具有引导和制约的作用。
