面向新世纪素质教育中学英语教师的培养

心理素质、自学能力、计算机辅助教材的应用、教学实习和课堂教学评鉴,这些方面在教师培养过程中应得到重视。     

《新编大学英语》合作教学法实验研究

我校2000级新生全部使用了《新编大学英语》。在教材使用过程中，我们发现了 以下两个问题：⑴教师缺乏一般的外语教学理论指导；⑵集中体现新教材特点的课堂分组活 动松散、无序。针对上述问题，我部对全体英语教师进行了外语教学理论与实践的培训，同 时对教学方法进行了深入研究和探索，采用了国外先进教学法——合作学习法，进行了相关 的教学实验研究，并取得了阶段性成果。     

Violence Against African American Women in Prisons and Jails

Abstract

The United States prison population is bulging and in recent years, the percentage of African American women being incarcerated far outnumber any other group. As the Black women in jails and prisons grow, so do the whispers about sexual abuse and labor abuse inside these institutions. This article discusses the nature of violence directed against incarcerated Black women and why it is important to direct national attention to this problem. It argues that though the violence may be individually directed, it is institutionally founded. Strategies are proposed for humanizing local jails and federal and state prisons.     

Would rethinking learning disabilities benefit Kuwait?

Learning disabilities education in Kuwait grew from Kuwaiti’s wholesale importation of the Western, medical model of disability – a model basically incompatible with Kuwaiti culture. Conflicting factors include its problematic normal/abnormal binary, its assumption that the ‘deficit’ is located in the student and the segregation of students by label. As proponents of disability studies we investigate whether, and if so how, Arab educators at Kuwait’s only learning disabilities school talk about this incompatibility. Through focus group and individual, in‐depth conversational interviews we found that they acknowledged this tension, but that they dealt with it in more complex ways than we had anticipated: by compartmentalizing, accepting the imported model as the only alternative to overcrowded public education and subjugating their experiential awareness to that of the Western scientific model.     

论幸福教育视野下教师的主动成长

从教师幸福感和幸福教育的角度出发,分析了幸福教育与教师主动成长的关系:幸福是教育的本真要求,幸福即是教师成长的动力,也是教师成长的境界.教师幸福感缺失是教师不愿意主动成长的重要因素.教师自我成长的动力与源泉来自于其创造性的教学劳动中,教师应该把教育看作幸福的职业,教师要在教育过程中创造和享受幸福,在教育过程中主动成长.     

新时期高等师范教育面临问题及对策研究

新时期高师院校的发展面临"学术性"与"师范性"双重滞后、培养目标与时代发展的要求有所脱节、课程与教学存在明显滞后、教育教学与基础教育联系不够、"终结性"与"一体化"冲突等问题。要通过促进"学术性"与"师范性"的和谐统一,强化"学术性"基础之上的"师范性",优化教学内容和课程体系,推进教师职前与职后教育的一体化来推动高师院校教师教育体系的创新和发展。     

论高素质教师及教师职前教育改革

在对研究者、国际组织和若干国家的专业标准关于教师素质结构的阐述进行考查之后笔者认为,高素质教师的素质结构是一个综合的、全面的、动态的、均衡的复杂系统。作为造就高素质教师的重要阶段,教师职前教育要想有所作为,就必须采取战略性调整教师培养目标、重新设计教师教育课程体系、强化教育实践等变革措施。

中国的师道文化随着社会的教育职业活动的产生而产生,并在中国古代及近现代中,不断得到发展。新世纪中,社会发展变化对教师提出了新要求,新世纪教师应具有高尚的职业道德,先进的教育理念,合理的知识结构,复合的教育教学能力,健康的身体及心理。
