Characteristics of homeless jail inmates: Implications for social work

This study set out to validate the hypothesis (belief) that homeless people were likely to commit minor offenses as solutions to their conditions. Jails, and maybe prisons, would provide three meals a day, a place to sleep, and minimal health care-especially during the winter months. Instead, the data did not support the hypothesis. Contrary to the reported practices of some homeless people in Colorado who are described as committing non-serious but timed offenses to go to jail, it found a homeless population in jail who give a literal interpretation to the political phrase 0.gif" alt="ldquo" align="MIDDLE" BORDER="0">the invisible people.0"> They were not in jail because they were homeless, but instead they were in jail for serious crimes (murder, rape, drugs, robbery) and their homelessness was a side fact. Since it was not likely that this group would seek to address or resolve their homelessness, it was recommended that jail social workers identify their needs to them, track them into social welfare networks, with a designated contact person, prior to their release.

郑州市区0～3岁早期教育机构课程设置研究

通过对郑州市区0～3岁早教机构课程设置的情况调查,我们可以发现：课程越详细、课程的含金量就越高,课程越概括、其水分就越多;国际连锁、国内连锁、本土早教机构的质量与机构名称本身无明显关联;英文课程并不一定比中文课程好。存在的问题在于：课程设置缺乏快乐理念;课程理论基础与具体课程设置脱节。针对这种情况,建议加强早期教育的科学性：首先要普及早教的专业知识;其次就是加强政府对早教机构的监管。     

服务设计中确定服务要素组合方案的方法

服务设计通常是指通过确定服务要素组合方案以尽可能满足顾客服务需求的过程,在这一过程中不仅要考虑尽可能地满足顾客的服务需求,而且还要考虑顾客满意度和成本预算.针对服务设计中如何确定服务要素组合方案的问题,提出一种决策分析方法;采用问卷调查方式获取顾客的评价信息,即服务要素对服务需求的满足程度和服务需求满意度的分值信息;依据Kano模型的思想,通过对评价信息进行处理和拟合来确定每个服务需求的满意度函数;基于确定的满意度函数并考虑成本预算,建立以顾客满意度最大化为目标的确定服务要素组合方案的优化模型,通过求解优化模型确定服务要素组合方案.最后,以某航空公司头等舱服务设计为例,说明所提出方法的可行性和有效性.     

La dimension économique de la législation protectrice de l'emploi,y compris sous ses modalités différentes: analyse sur un panel de 117 pays, 1990–2013

Les auteurs replacent l'évolution de la législation protectrice de l'emploi (y compris de durée déterminée, intérimaire et à temps partiel) dans une perspective économique en utilisant un indice de la rigueur de la réglementation établi par le Centre for Business Research de l'Université de Cambridge pour 117 pays (1970–2013). L'analyse économétrique repose sur des méthodes pour données de panel non stationnaires. Elle fait apparaître un renforcement de la protection, associé à une hausse de la part salariale dans le revenu national, une progression des taux d'activité et d'emploi et une baisse du chômage, des relations qui restent faibles cependant au regard de la tendance économique globale.     

Work/life balance policy in Germany: Promoting equal partnership in families

Across the OECD, public policies seek to support parents in achieving their desired work/life balance. This article introduces the background to and issues at stake in promoting equal partnerships in families in Germany. Families in Germany face considerable challenges to spending more time together and achieving a more gender‐balanced reconciliation of work and family life, as paid work hours for fathers are long on full‐time jobs and many women are in part‐time jobs. Family policy can play an important role and Germany has made substantial progress in supporting families ahead of and after the birth of a child. Important in this regard are the parental leave reforms of 2007 and 2015 and the extension of childcare supports that better enable fathers and mothers to combine work and family commitments. The article assesses recent developments in family policies in Germany while also drawing from the experiences of countries with longstanding policies to support work/life balance and strengthen gender equality.

学生出勤及转学与数学成绩的关系研究

本文描述了某大城市学区学生出勤及转学情况,旨在为学校和社区提供具有参考意义的结论。首先将一到十二年级所有学生的转学与缺勤情况按照性别、种族和社会经济地位等子类分别列出。然后考察其对学生数学成绩的影响。结果表明,即使在控制了社会经济地位和性别等变量后,缺勤与转学对(用国家水平测试作衡量的)数学成绩仍有消极影响。有意思的是,其对不同种族学生的影响并没有差异。在出勤与转学情况相同的前提下,黑人学生和白人学生表现出相似的成绩格局。本文最后进一步考察了学区内的10所高中,确定了缺勤与转学值得关注之处,并从确定问题严重程度、出现的学校年级等角度探讨了给地区的启示,利用这些信息来提高出勤率和降低转学率,制定系统的方法妥善安排转入和转出的学生。
