论改琦《红楼梦图咏》

小说插图兴起于宋元，鼎盛于明代，在清末走向衰落。伴随着小说《红楼梦》而创作的清代《红楼梦》插图现存五十多种，独以改琦所绘的《红楼梦图咏》为《红楼梦》绣像插图中流传最广、艺术价值最高。从其艺术特点以及描绘的人物形象与景物环境等可以看出画家精妙的绘画技能，并有助于对小说人物风貌和命运的理解。     

A Comment on Ali Tas˛ıran's `Wage and income effects on the timing and spacing of births in Sweden and in the United States'

This note reviews and evaluates Taşıran's (1995) claim that estimated female wage effects on Swedish fertility dynamics reported by Heckman and Walker (1990) are not robust to the use of microwage data. The results reported here indicate that once individual wage measures have been purged of measurement error, estimated female wage effects are not sensitive to the introduction of microwages. The results reported by Heckman and Walker (1990) persist even with the use of microwage data. Inference about permutation parameter in large samples

The estimation problem of a permutation parameter on the basis of a random sample of increasing size is considered. A necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of an estimator, asymptotically fully efficient for two different distributions families, is derived. We also study the application of this result to cyclic groups of order two and three.     

Interest rate policies and inflation in interdependent economies: Recent policy dilemmas

This paper examines Federal Reserve Board policies that are premised on a negative short-run association of interest rate movements and the rate of inflation. In particular, econometric evidence is provided, supporting the view that tighter monetary policy appears to raise inflation rates in the short run. Conversely, it is demonstrated that easier monetary policy does not necessarily raise inflation rates in the short run. In the case of uncoordinated monetary restrictiveness, interest rate competition among major countries can produce higher inflation and lower growth than was originally intended.

不少研究者曾论及<红楼梦>中的"理家",但大多就事论事,用来为现代管理者提供参照则可,而系统阐释<红楼梦>中"理家"的内涵和功能则不足.<红楼梦>中贾府的"理家"模式属于典型的中国封建社会家族式管理,作者曹雪芹结合个人经验,生动再现和理性思考了曹家盛衰与"理家"之间的联系,相关思考在构建故事情节、塑造人物等方面都有着举足轻重的艺术表现作用.     

自我价值感、心理控制源和A型人格对时间管理倾向的影响研究

对433名中学生进行问卷调查,综合探讨自我价值感、心理控制源和A型人格对时间管理倾向的影响.结果表明:(1)自我价值感、心理控制源、A型人格与时间管理倾向存在显著的相关;(2)自我价值感、心理控制源和A型人格对时间管理倾向构成显著或极显著的回归效应;(3)心理控制源存在以自我价值感为中介变量的对时间管理倾向的显著的间接效应,A型人格以心理控制源和自我价值感为中介变量对时间管理倾向产生显著的间接影响.     

How Many Balance Functions Does it Take to Determine a Utility Function?

Call b your balance function at wealth W if you are indifferent between W and a 50–50 lottery with outcomes x and b(x). Given one b, u is arbitrary on one side of W but then determined on the other. Given two b‘s, u is arbitrary between the two W′ s but then determined elsewhere. Additional properties of u restrict the b’s but do not ordinarily make u unique. Contradictions can occur. Given three b′ s, an algorithm is developed using minimal domains of definition that determines the relative utility of the W’s. If it is irrational, then the set S generated by applying all combinations of b’s to W′ s is dense and u is determined. If finitely many b’s are rationally related, then S is discrete, a further algorithm determines it, the values of u on S are equally spaced, and u is arbitrary between any two adjacent points of S but then determined elsewhere. Infinitely many balance functions determine u unless they are rationally related in a uniform way.JEL Classification: D81

Prospects for trade in manufactured goods between industrial and developing countries, 1978–1990

This paper examines prospective changes in trade in manufactured goods between the industrial and the developing countries. Assuming the continuation of the policies followed by the industrial countries, it is projected that the manufactured imports of these countries from the developing countries would rise at an average annual rate of 12.5% between 1978 and 1980 while their manufactured exports would increase 9 7% a year. Nonetheless, the export surplus of the industrial countries in trade in manufactured goods would rise, contributing to the growth of industrial output. The expansion of their exports of manufactured goods would also contribute to economic growth in the developing countries, and both groups of countries would benefit from specialization according to comparative advantage.
