马克思主义视阈下的后现代设计人文属性研究

以马克思主义理论为视角,结合时代语境探讨后现代设计的人文属性和发展趋势具有十分重要的意义。在设计思想中应协调好人与自然、人与社会、人与人等各方面的关系,体现出和谐发展、技术与经济互动和人文精神的吸纳等设计理念的"人文回归",为现今设计理论的发展提供思想依据,使设计成为生态和谐、人文交融、科技发展、经济腾飞的行为前提,从而推动人类科技创新和发展走上健康的轨道。     

Ridge Regression Estimation for Survey Samples

This paper describes procedure for constructing a vector of regression weights. Under the regression superpopulation model, the ridge regression estimator that has minimum model mean squared error is derived. Through a simulation study, we compare the ridge regression weights, regression weights, quadratic programming weights, and raking ratio weights. The ridge regression procedure with weights bounded by zero performed very well.     

Statistical Properties of a Modified Accelerated Design for Phase I Cancer Clinical Trials

We consider the semiparametric profile likelihood inference for the distribution function under doubly censored data. For further developments of the statistical inference based on the profile likelihood ratio and alternative tools such as the score or Wald-type inference, we discuss the structures of the profile likelihood estimators and their derivatives included in the score function and the Fisher function of the profile likelihood, establishing the consistencies of their estimators.     

A note on robustness of D-optimal block designs for two-colour microarray experiments

Two-colour microarray experiments form an important tool in gene expression analysis. Due to the high risk of missing observations in microarray experiments, it is fundamental to concentrate not only on optimal designs but also on designs which are robust against missing observations. As an extension of Latif et al. (2009), we define the optimal breakdown number for a collection of designs to describe the robustness, and we calculate the breakdown number for various D-optimal block designs. We show that, for certain values of the numbers of treatments and arrays, the designs which are D-optimal have the highest breakdown number. Our calculations use methods from graph theory.     

Maboo wirriya,be healthy: Community-directed development of an evidence-based diabetes prevention program for young Aboriginal people in a remote Australian town

Supporting healthy lifestyle behaviours is a key aspect of preventing type 2 diabetes which disproportionately affects disadvantaged groups from a younger age. Formative participatory research was undertaken to design a program for young Aboriginal people in a remote town in North West Australia with a high level of health needs and relatively few prevention initiatives. Focus groups and advisory discussions with Aboriginal community members were used to determine the nature of the program. The need for a comprehensive program was consistently expressed and limited healthy lifestyle knowledge and difficulties with healthy eating influenced by food environments were noted to be important. With guidance from the Derby Aboriginal Health Service, findings were integrated with previous international research evidence to develop a program tailored to local Aboriginal people aged 15–25 years and refine it after piloting. This 8-session program, ‘Maboo wirriya, be healthy’ involved an education component consistent with the US Diabetes Prevention Program and practical activities including group exercise. Changes to program structure and documentation were made after piloting for future use. The community-directed approach used in this study is vital to ensure relevance of localised chronic disease prevention programs in a range of settings.     

CO2气体冷却器性能测试实验台设计

为了对CO2气体冷却器进行系统全面的性能分析,根据CO2制冷剂在亚临界区和超临界区的换热特性,以第二制冷剂量热器法和水冷气体冷却法为理论基础,结合企业实际测试需求研制了能够全面测试CO2气体冷却器性能的实验台。其可测试的换热量范围是1.6~32.0 kW,测量精度高。实际选用了一个气体冷却器做验证,结果显示2种测量方法的偏差小于4%,满足企业验收标准。此实验台的设计可为相关性能测试实验台的研究提供借鉴。     

Ability of Experience Design Elements to Elicit Emotions and Loyalty Behaviors

Experience design, an approach to create emotional connection with guests or customers through careful planning of tangible and intangible service elements, has gained popularity in many hospitality and retail businesses. With ever‐increasing competition, service providers seek to develop loyalty by aggressively designing, continuously innovating, and managing their customer experiences. This article explores the relationship between different service elements designed to create enhanced experience and customer loyalty. In addition, it looks at emotional responses as mediating factors between the physical and relational elements and loyalty behaviors. A model is proposed and tested with a VIP hospitality tent for an internationally renowned touring circus. Results of the study indicate that while a few design elements directly affect loyalty behavior, the relationship between most design elements and loyalty behavior is strongly mediated by eliciting certain types of emotional behavior. This connection has implications for the focus of service managers' efforts in different environments.     

An Exploratory Analysis of the Value of the Skills of IT Personnel: Their Relationship to IS Infrastructure and Competitive Advantage

Determining and assessing the requisite skills of information technology (IT) personnel have become critical as the value of IT has risen in modern organizations. In addition to technical skills traditionally expected of IT personnel, softer skills like managerial, business, and interpersonal skills have been increasingly cited in previous studies as mandatory for these employees. This paper uses a typology of IT personnel skills—technology management skills, business functional skills, interpersonal skills, and technical skills—and investigates their relationships to two information systems (IS) success variables, IS infrastructure flexibility and the competitive advantage provided by IS. The study investigates these relationships using the perceptions of chief information officers (CIOs) from mostly Fortune 2000 companies. The contributions of this study are: IT personnel skills do affect IS success, technical skills are viewed as the most important skill set in affecting IS infrastructure flexibility and competitive advantage, and modularity is viewed as more valuable to competitive advantage than integration. Several explanations are offered for the lack of positive relationships between the softer IT personnel skills and the dimensions of IS success used in this study.
