加工贸易与地区经济增长 ——基于我国省际面板数据的研究

 本文通过改造Keynes宏观经济理论并利用省际面板数据，对加工贸易活动对地区经济增长的影响进行了分析。结果表明：加工贸易对地区经济增长有着积极和显著的影响，我国应采取措施鼓励加工贸易活动向中西部地区转移，以促进中西部地区经济增长和就业增加；我们还发现，消费增长对地区经济增长的影响超过了投资因素已成为拉动地区经济增长的重要动力。     

配合尺寸公差中心范围加工法的应用与研究

目前机械加工企业根据国际标准偏差加工工件，由于受操作者主观因素的影响，工艺能力下降，工程等级降低，不能满足产品质量的要求，而配合尺寸公差中心范围加工法则很好地解决了这一问题。笔者论述了机为加工的质量特征分析，通过实例论证了配合尺寸公差中心范围加工法与传统加工方法的优越性与可行性。     

Understanding sex: the right to legal capacity to consent to sex

This article addresses the right to legal capacity to consent to sex of people with intellectual disabilities. Article 12 of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities guarantees the right to legal capacity on an equal basis in all areas of life. This article discusses sex as an area of life in which people with intellectual disabilities are frequently not being granted legal capacity on an equal basis. The article examines current capacity to consent to sex law in Ireland, England and Wales in light of Article 12. It proposes an ‘agreement model’ as a potential alternative that would be Article 12 compliant.     

More nonconcavities in information processing functions

The productivity of (human) information processing as an economic activity is a question that is raising some interest. Using Marschak's evaluation framework, Radner and Stiglitz have shown that, under certain conditions, the production function of this activity has increasing marginal returns in its initial stage. This paper shows that, under slightly different conditions, this information processing function has repeated convexities with ongoing processing activity. Even for smooth changes in the signals' likelihoods, the function is only piecewise smooth with non-differentiable convexities at points of conditional changes of action. For linear likelihood functions the processing value proves to be piecewise linear with convexities at these levels. This revised version was published online in June 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.

会计电算化和会计信息化是在计算机技术和网络技术广泛普及,现代信息技术不断创新的基础上发展并逐步成熟的,本文论述了会计电算化的含义、发展历程及局限性,会计信息化的含义及特点,并对会计电算化和会计信息化进行了比较,探析了会计信息化的几个重要特点和发展方向.指出了大力推进会计信息化的发展,已成为我国经济社会发展新阶段重要而紧迫的战略任务.在我国,会计信息化尚处于起步阶段,必须构建涵盖技术、管理、法律及人才等措施的保障体系,从而增强会计信息化的可实施性和可发展性.     

The WHO/WTO Study on Trade and Public Health: A Critical Assessment

This article provides a brief critical examination of a 2002 report jointly issued by the World Health Organization and the World Trade Organization on WTO law and public health. The author argues that the report is in many respects misleading as to the content of WTO law, as interpreted by the Appellate Body of the WTO, its final court. In particular, the WHO/WTO report systematically understates or underestimates the margins of regulatory autonomy that WTO member states have to make regulations that protect public health.

Great Expectatrics: Great Papers,Great Journals,Great Econometrics

The article discusses alternative Research Assessment Measures (RAM), with an emphasis on the Thomson Reuters ISI Web of Science database (hereafter ISI). Some analysis and comparisons are also made with data from the SciVerse Scopus database. The various RAM that are calculated annually or updated daily are defined and analyzed, including the classic 2-year impact factor (2YIF), 2YIF without journal self-citations (2YIF*), 5-year impact factor (5YIF), Immediacy (or zero-year impact factor (0YIF)), Impact Factor Inflation (IFI), Self-citation Threshold Approval Rating (STAR), Eigenfactor score, Article Influence, C3PO (Citation Performance Per Paper Online), h-index, Zinfluence, and PI-BETA (Papers Ignored – By Even The Authors). The RAM are analyzed for 10 leading econometrics journals and 4 leading statistics journals. The application to econometrics can be used as a template for other areas in economics, for other scientific disciplines, and as a benchmark for newer journals in a range of disciplines. In addition to evaluating high quality research in leading econometrics journals, the paper also compares econometrics and statistics, alternative RAM, highlights the similarities and differences of the alternative RAM, finds that several RAM capture similar performance characteristics for the leading econometrics and statistics journals, while the new PI-BETA criterion is not highly correlated with any of the other RAM, and hence conveys additional information regarding RAM, highlights major research areas in leading journals in econometrics, and discusses some likely future uses of RAM, and shows that the harmonic mean of 13 RAM provides more robust journal rankings than relying solely on 2YIF.
