论社区矫正的检察监督

社区矫正缘起于英国,盛行于欧美国家。我国近年来也开始探索社区矫正并开始试点,作为一种非监禁化的刑罚执行方法,它也应该受到人民检察院的检察监督。社区矫正检察监督的主要内容在于社区矫正措施和程序的合法性。

人们对记忆的研究从数量取向逐渐转为准确性取向,错误记忆研究增多,很多文献都有报告巴特莱特的重复再现研究,但是其结论的可重复性受到研究者的质疑。本文主要对巴特莱特重复再现的验证性研究进行述评。     

Using intersection matrices to identify graphical structure

Intersection matrices help identify the common graphical structure of two or more objects. They arise naturally in a variety of settings. Several examples of their use in a computer algebra environment are given. These include: simplifying an expression involving array products, automating cumulant calculations, determining the behaviour of an expected value operator and identifying model hierarchy in a factorial experiment. The emphasis is placed on the graphical structure, and the symmetry of arrays help reduce the complexity of the graphical problem.     

有限总体修正系数的进一步证明

抽样技术正成为我国社会经济统计调查和分析的重要手段。实际中的抽样大多是对有限总体的不重置抽样。指出了以往关于有限总体修正系数证明的局限性，给出了有限总体不重置抽样成数和均值标准差公式的一般性证明，该证明更直接体现了抽样的随机特征。     

Some Second-Order Asymptotics for Extreme Value Linear Regression Models

ABSTRACT

In this article we derive finite-sample corrections in matrix notation for likelihood ratio and score statistics in extreme-value linear regression models. We consider three corrected score tests that perform better than the usual score test. We also derive general formulae for second-order biases of maximum likelihood estimates of the linear parameters. Some simulations are performed to compare the likelihood ratio and score statistics with their modified versions and to illustrate the bias correction.     

Little Red Riding Hood goes to jail: An experience of participative writing with students and detainees

ABSTRACT

This article illustrates how Little Red Riding Hood has been used in a workshop conducted in prison aimed at a mixed audience of students participating in a Social Work Degree Course and detainees. First of all, it presents concepts at the core of the didactic part of the workshop. Second, the methodological path that has characterized the experiential side of the seminar is illustrated. Finally, one of the results is discussed: a version of Little Red Riding Hood written in a participatory manner by inmates and students together.     

To Pool or Not to Pool: The Quality Bank Case

Drawing on a recent hearing before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, this article illustrates how two statisticians on opposing sides, using two different approaches to the problem, arrived at the same estimator. The differences between the two approaches are highlighted and a proof for the equivalence of the two estimators is given.     

Bartlett-corrected tests for normal linear models when the error covariance matrix is nonscaiar

This paper provides Bartlett corrections to improve likelihood ratio tests for heteroskedastic normal linear models when the error covariance matrix is nonscaiar and depends on a set of unknown parameters. The Bartlett corrections are simple enough to be used algebraically to obtain several closed-form expressions in special cases. The corrections have also advantages for numerical purposes because they involve only simple operations on matrices and vectors.     

Rejection,Humiliation, and Parole: A Study of Parolees' Perspectives

Research on status rejection has developed considerably over the past two decades and is applied in a number of different settings to better understand criminal and deviant behavior. Our research contributes to that body of work by examining the ways in which status rejection may create a potentially humiliating dynamic for individuals on parole. Specifically, we use in‐depth interviews with parolees to illustrate how the parolee identity can promote the experience of status rejection and simultaneously foster conditions for humiliation—an emotional state that may impede one's ability to both (re) construct a conventional identity and reintegrate back into one's community.
