In this article, a variable two-stage acceptance sampling plan is developed when the quality characteristic is evaluated through a process loss function. The plan parameters of the proposed plan are determined by using the two-point approach and tabulated according to various quality levels. Two cases are discussed when the process mean lies at the target value and when it does not, respectively. Extensive tables are provided for both cases and the results are explained with examples. The advantage of the proposed plan is compared with the existing variable single acceptance sampling plan using the process loss function. 相似文献

This article considers some classes of estimators of the population median of the study variable using information on an auxiliary variable with their properties under large sample approximation. Asymptotic optimum estimator (AOE) in each class of estimators has been investigated along with the approximate mean square error formulae. It has been shown that the proposed classes of estimators are better than these considered by Gross (1980), Kuk and Mak (1989), Singh et al. (2003a), and Al and Cingi (2009). This article intends to develop some effective rotation patterns with the aid of attractive imputation methods when the problems of non response occur in two-occasion successive sampling. Utilizing the information on p (p ??1) auxiliary variables regression methods of imputation have been considered and subsequently multiple linear regression type estimators are proposed to estimate the current population mean in two-occasion successive sampling. Proposed estimators are compared with the estimator for same situations but in the absence of non-response. AbstractIn this paper, we introduce a version of Hayter and Tsui's statistical test with double sampling for the vector mean of a population under multivariate normal assumption. A study showed that this new test was more or as efficient than the well-known Hotelling's T2 with double sampling. Some nice features of Hayter and Tsui's test are its simplicity of implementation and its capability of identifying the errant variables when the null hypothesis is rejected. ABSTRACTIn this article, we consider the estimation of R = P(Y < X), when Y and X are two independent three-parameter Lindley (LI) random variables. On the basis of two independent samples, the modified maximum likelihood estimator along its asymptotic behavior and conditional likelihood-based estimator are used to estimate R. We also propose sample-based estimate of R and the associated credible interval based on importance sampling procedure. ABSTRACTThis paper considers the use of stratified random sampling with proportional as well as Neyman allocations to unrelated question randomized response strategy. It has been shown that, for the prior information given, our new model is more efficient in terms of variance (in the case of completely truthful reporting) and mean square error (in case of less than completely truthful reporting).
