A tolerance interval approach for assessment of agreement in method comparison studies with repeated measurements

This paper generalizes the tolerance interval approach for assessing agreement between two methods of continuous measurement for repeated measurement data—a common scenario in applications. The repeated measurements may be longitudinal or they may be replicates of the same underlying measurement. Our approach is to first model the data using a mixed model and then construct a relevant asymptotic tolerance interval (or band) for the distribution of appropriately defined differences. We present the methodology in the general context of a mixed model that can incorporate covariates, heteroscedasticity and serial correlation in the errors. Simulation for the no-covariate case shows good small-sample performance of the proposed methodology. For the longitudinal data, we also describe an extension for the case when the observed time profiles are modelled nonparametrically through penalized splines. Two real data applications are presented.

货币政策传导机制有效性的实证研究

文章选取货币供应量和金融机构年末贷款余额作为货币政策的中介指标变量,以经济增长作为货币政策的最终目标变量,运用动态计量经济学理论,通过对变量的单位根检验,协整检验和因果关系检验,对1978~2004年的数据采用EG两步法建立误差修正模型。研究表明货币政策传导存在明显的时滞,而且货币供应量增长率与贷款余额增长率相比对经济增长率的影响更显著。     

On a test for structural stability of euler conditions parameters estimated via the generalized method of moments estimator: small sample properties

This paper presents Monte Carlo experiments on the small sample performance of the predictive test for structural change proposed by Ghysels and Hall. The predictive test was found to be more powerful than the overidentifying restrictions test in terms of size-corrected power when a shift in parameter has occurred. Also, it was found that the power of the predictive test decreases drastically as the number of the out-sample data decreases.

Empirical assessment of present value relations

This paper summarizes the literature on estimation and testing of present value relations. Twenty-four test statistics are illustrated and compared in a simulation experiment utilizing six different data generation models. The test statistics are calculated for actual Standard and Poor's 500 annual stock price and dividend data, and the results are interpreted in light of the Monte Carlo experiments.

A Note on Wald's Type Chi-squared Tests of Fit

The Wald's method for constructing chi-squared tests of fit has been formulated more accurately. It is shown that Wald's type statistics will follow the central chi-squared distribution if and only if the limit covariance matrix of standardized frequencies will not depend on unknown parameters. Several examples that illustrate this important fact are presented. In particular, it is shown that the goodness-of-fit statistic developed by Moore and Stubblebine does not follow the chi-squared limit distribution, and, hence, cannot be used for testing multivariate normality.
