Review of female immigrant entrepreneurship research: Past findings,gaps and ways forward

We conduct a review of the literature on entrepreneurship by females with an ethnic minority background based on immigration to a new country and focus on entrepreneurial resources, entrepreneurial strategies, outcomes, and context. The intersection of gender and ethnicity influences entrepreneurship in specific ways that we discuss. The literature review indicates that particular (human, social, and financial) resources help shape entrepreneurial strategies, which in turn result in particular outcomes at the individual, firm, and societal levels. These factors are influenced by the co-ethnic and host country cultural and institutional contexts that we review. Situating our study in the mixed embeddedness perspective, we organize and synthesize extant research on the business endeavors of female immigrant entrepreneurs and discuss important gaps that provide opportunities for future research. We also address policy and practice implications.

由于女大学生社会问题的增多,引发媒体对女大学生负面新闻的过度报道,这种有别于客观真实的过度再现,直接导致女大学生媒介形象的异化,也造成了女大学生社会角色的畸形,强化了传统社会性别的刻板印象。从社会性别理论的视角审视当代大众传媒,如何找到被男权媒介所遮蔽的女性话语权的表达方式,不仅是新闻媒体所要解决的问题,更是关系到社会生态平衡的一道难题。

时尚杂志充斥着靓丽的图像、知性的文字和体贴的语气,它们在给读者带来视觉快感的同时,也向读者传达了一种新鲜的美学判断。在时尚杂志所引导的女性美学观中,身体是女性美的中心,而时间美学观和空间美学观是女性美的两个基点,背后隐藏着现代性的追寻、安全感的诉求、消费观念的刺激、男性凝视的快感等美学缘由。时尚杂志潜移默化地向青年女性传达了一种新鲜的美学判断,但其所倡导的美学观是病态的、不健康的,在批判这种美学观的同时,青年女性应该在自我独立的基础上追求一种健康的、朴素的、自然的女性美。     

身体与认同:女性青少年瘦身现象研究

女性青少年瘦身是一种客观存在的社会现象,该现象的成因与认同问题具有相关性。青少年期是认同形成的关键时期,因此,女性青少年瘦身的实质即通过塑造身体以获得个体或社会的认同。对于女孩自身以及社会而言,这种获得认同的方式均存在诸多风险,理当予以重视和消解。,     

从女性主义角度解读《奥赛罗》中的女性形象

随着女性社会地位的提高和经济地位的独立,现代女性消费者在奢侈品消费市场上的影响力越来越大。女性消费者作为我国奢侈品消费的一个重要而又特殊的群体,越来越受到现代企业和学术研究者等的广泛关注。因此,在分析女性消费者的奢侈品消费心理的基础上,提出适当和科学的针对性奢侈品营销策略,具有重要的理论和现实意义。     

Support for Resilience Theory with Female Adolescents Who Are Violent: A MIMIC Model

Resilience theory has been shown to explain aggression and violence in adolescents in general. No studies were found that supported this theory specifically with female adolescents. A multiple indicators multiple causes (MIMIC) model was developed from the review of the literature. Structural equation modeling was then used to quantitatively test this theoretical MIMIC model. Results indicate that the direct effect of the demographic contingencies are significantly related to violent behavior: race (β = ?.53, t = 0.04, p < .001), community supports (β = ?0.55, t = ?0.04, p < .001), and subsidized income supports (β = 0.54, t = 0.04, p < .001). These results suggest demographic contingencies play an important role in predicting violent behavior in female adolescents.     

Treatment Approaches for Child Welfare Mothers with Addiction Problems

Abstract

This paper argues that child welfare mothers with addiction problems may require specialized treatment approaches based on their gender. The prevalence of women's problems with addiction and the unique ways addictions manifest themselves in women are discussed. The literature is then used to guide a discussion on the limitations of traditional treatment approaches that have been designed for men and may be of ill service to child welfare mothers. Alternative treatments are reviewed, and suggestions for improving treatment services to child welfare mothers with addiction problems are provided.     

广东省女性非户籍人口状况——农业户口与非农业户口的对比分析

根据2010年第六次人口普查汇总数据和2005年人口抽样调查数据,本文对广东省女性非户籍人口的基本状况和流动特征进行了分析,并且对比分析了农业户口和非农业户口的女性非户籍人口的基本状况。由于户口性质的不同,女性非户籍人口内部也出现了分化,存在一些较为明显的差异。这些分析结果,为进一步了解和服务女性非户籍人口提供了一定的参考。
