科技新闻的社会责任及其价值取向——兼评我国媒体对“神舟”四号的报道

20世纪后半叶以来的科技发展对科技新闻提出了一系列新的要求,适应这种要求的科技新闻应该承担更为重要的一些社会责任,实现更为重要的一些社会功能,科技新闻工作者也应有更加科学的价值取向.本文对有关这种社会责任、社会功能、价值取向的一些问题进行了初步的讨论,并对我国媒体有关"神舟"四号的一些报道进行简单的分析.     

强化体育意识切实发挥体育本质功能

体育是人们社会生活的重要组成部分,针对"健康第一"的思想,提出明确的体育意识和良好的锻炼习惯,规范着人们的体育行为;高校要强化学生的体育意识,切实发挥体育的本质功能;高校的体育小环境要推动社会的大环境,以期推动"全民健身计划"的实施.     

动词重叠式及其功能的历史发展

动词重叠式有状态形容词功能型和动词功能型两类。动词重叠的状态形容词功能从先秦到唐五代一般由VV担当,唐宋开始,VV的状态形容词功能逐渐减弱,其状态形容词功能逐渐转向以V1V1V2V2行使为主。动词功能型重叠式唐代开始萌芽,清代发展成熟,相继出现VV、V一V、VO一V、V了V、V了一V和V1V2V1V2、V1V2一V1V2、V1V2O一V1V2等多种形式,其中VO一V、V1V2一V1V2、V1V2O一V1V2等式逐步消失,其他各式行使动词功能,至今未变。是否有或可以有"一"、是否有轻读,可以看作区分动词重叠式是动词功能型还是状态形容词功能型的形式标记。     

我国中等收入者比重扩大的效应分析

党的十六大报告第一次提出以共同富裕为目标,扩大中等收入者比重,提高低收入者收入水平,这一论断丰富了我国的分配政策。在全面建设小康社会的过程中,中等收入者比重的扩大是社会稳定的基础,是经济发展的推动力量,是先进文化的消费和创造的强大动力。     

社区德育的功能及其特征

在“全社会都要关心支持教育”的社会共识之下 ,社区德育在德育系统工程中发挥着简明直观的认知功能、潜移默化的陶冶功能、合群利他的调节功能、立身处世的规范功能、综合育人的保障功能。社区德育对青少年德性养成实施全员、全程、全方位关照 ,具有极强的生命力和开发前景     

Jacob Mincer,Experience and the Distribution of Earnings

This paper reviews Jacob Mincer's contributions to the analyses of earnings and the distribution of earnings through his pioneering focus on labor market experience or on-the-job training. It begins with a brief discussion of the theoretical literature on the distribution of earnings in the pre-Mincer period, and then discusses his analysis of human capital and earnings developed in his 1957 doctoral dissertation and 1958 Journal of Political Economy (JPE) article. Further analyses of on-the-job training, and in particular estimates of the rate of return from on-the-job training, are presented in his 1962 JPE paper. The synergy between Mincer and Becker during the 1960s is discussed, as is the development of the schooling-earnings function by Gary S. Becker and Barry R. Chiswick (1966). Jacob Mincer extended this relationship by incorporating experience to form the human capital earnings function in his Schooling, Experience and Earnings (1974). Subsequent modifications, extensions, tests of robustness and the wide applicability of the human capital earnings function are presented.     

Estimation of a Change Point in a Hazard Function Based on Censored Data

The hazard function plays an important role in reliability or survival studies since it describes the instantaneous risk of failure of items at a time point, given that they have not failed before. In some real life applications, abrupt changes in the hazard function are observed due to overhauls, major operations or specific maintenance activities. In such situations it is of interest to detect the location where such a change occurs and estimate the size of the change. In this paper we consider the problem of estimating a single change point in a piecewise constant hazard function when the observed variables are subject to random censoring. We suggest an estimation procedure that is based on certain structural properties and on least squares ideas. A simulation study is carried out to compare the performance of this estimator with two estimators available in the literature: an estimator based on a functional of the Nelson-Aalen estimator and a maximum likelihood estimator. The proposed least squares estimator tums out to be less biased than the other two estimators, but has a larger variance. We illustrate the estimation method on some real data sets.
