汉语新词的翻译问题及策略研究

近年来,汉语新词作为一种崭新的语言方式和文化景观,已越来越多地引起语言学界的关注.面对汉语新词的不断出现,译者有责任及时地把它们翻译出来以帮助外国读者全面了解中国的最新情况.文章指出了影响新词英译的一些问题,并探讨了新词的英译原则和方法,以期对解决汉语新词英译中的问题有一定帮助.     

Gay and Bisexual Men’s Experiences Using Self-Testing Kits for HIV and Rectal and Urethral Bacterial Sexually Transmitted Infections: Lessons Learned from a Study With Home-Based Testing

Abstract

Objectives: This study investigated the experiences of gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (GBM) conducting HIV and sexually transmitted infection (STI) self-testing procedures. Methods: We analyzed mixed-methods data from 11 GBM who self-tested HIV-positive and 1,070 HIV-negative GBM who completed the HIV self-testing and STI self-sampling procedures. Results: Nearly all (99%) reported ease in urine-based STI self-sampling and most (90%) found rectal swab self-collection easy. Most (94%) checked their rapid-HIV self-testing results during the correct window (20-40 minutes), and nearly all (99%) trusted their HIV results. Conclusions: Recommendations for future self-testing procedures are provided based on findings from free-response data.     

Mapping the social geographies of autism – online and off-line narratives of neuro-shared and separate spaces

This paper draws together empirical work that has been produced by the authors in two different autistic spaces: the Swedish magazine Empowerment produced by and aimed at adults with autism, and English-speaking autistic communities online. While the two points of data collection are quite different, there are important points of commonality that enable us to explore central issues concerning autistic and neurotypical space and the meanings assigned to these in different contexts. The paper aims to introduce the notion of social geographies of autism, based on talks among adults with autism and a social movement to promote autistic identities, giving examples from our previous work that has spanned both online and off-line spaces. Key issues discussed in the paper include a focus on autistic political platforms and the carving out of both social and political spaces for people with autism. In doing so, neuro-separate and neuro-shared spaces must be negotiated.     

汉字术语近代转换现象辨析——以“经济”、“形而上学”为例

清末民初以降,一批翻译西方概念的汉字新术语应运而生,其间多有成功之作,却也有失当的案例。有些本是内涵明确而稳定的古汉语词,在借以对译西方概念的过程中,既抛弃了该词的汉语古义,也未与西义确切对应,又不能从词形推导出新义。"经济"、"形而上学"便是两个使用频率甚高的误植译词。今天我们有必要追踪误植发生的轨迹,探讨其在何种历史的及文化的背景下失足,以便总结教训,利于当下及今后中外术语对译的健康展开。此一梳理、辨析工作,当为中国近代文化史研究的题中应有之义。     

Together and Apart: Affective Ambiences and Negotiation in Families’ Everyday Life and Mobility

Abstract

This article addresses the affective, emotional, and familial dimensions of urban everyday mobility. Drawing on theoretical inspiration from phenomenology, non-representational theory, and mobilities research on the relational mobilities of children and families, the paper explores the everyday mobility of 11 households with children in the multi-modal context of Copenhagen, Denmark. Following the conceptualization of everyday mobility practices as heterogeneous ‘negotiation in motion’, the empirical analysis investigates how the strong relational dynamics between household members are organized around affect, care, familial bonding, and the rhythms of everyday life, which shape spatial patterns of moving together and apart. A new qualitative method combining GPS tracking, mapping, and household interviews is explored to show how everyday patterns of relational mobility are filtered through spatial affordances, affective ambience, and the temporalities of the lifecourse to influence transport alternatives of route and modal choices.     

越南留学生习得普通话塞音、塞擦音实验研究和偏误分析

越南留学生在习得汉语普通话塞音、塞擦音时总是存在一些突出的疑难问题。实验发现越南留学生送气音和不送气音的VOT和送气时长大多都比汉语母语者短，不送气音和送气音区分度不高，闭塞时长和浊音间隔过长，在声韵格局上也不太合理。
