由《歧路灯》看清代中原地区赌博群体的广泛性

《歧路灯》真实地反映了18世纪中原地区中下层社会生活的方方面面,并塑造了众多的赌徒形象,深刻地描写了赌博等社会恶习在中原地区所具有的广泛性,客观上提示了封建子弟荒淫糜烂的生活和消极、颓废的精神状态,为封建社会末世封建子弟的堕落和没落作了真实的写照。小说对赌博恶习的揭露与批判在今天仍然具有思想价值和认识价值。

A general approach to disassembly planning and control

Closing product and material cycles have emerged as a paradigm for industry in the 21st century, and are directed towards an economical and responsible use of our limited resources. Disassembly plays a key role in recycling. It enables the recovery of functioning components for re-use of pure materials for re-utilization and the separation of harmful substances. Major challenges are presented by the enormous variety of products to be disassembled, by uncertainty as to quantity and by their unknown properties. An appropriate planning and control of disassembly processes is essential for an economic disassembly. Based on an investigation of the suitability of common production planning and control (PPC) methods for disassembly, a specific disassembly planning and control concept (DPC) is outlined.

近代天津形成了双中心生态模式，经济中心居住富人，政治中心居住官员和职员，其他地区居住社会下层。双中心生态模式是社会变迁、城市规划和生态竞争共同作用的结果。这一研究有助于天津的发展和人类生态学理论的完善。     

新疆与中亚国家产业互补性与竞争性研究——基于对外贸易的角度

该文从贸易结构、贸易竞争指数和贸易互补性三个方面分析研究了新疆与中亚五国产业之间的关系。研究发现:新疆与中亚国家的产业具有相当的互补性,并且这种产业互补性很大程度上依托内地的优势;同时,新疆与中亚国家的产业在以互补性为主的基础上,呈现出逐渐增强的竞争趋势。     

Correction

In many probability and mathematical statistics courses the probability generating function (PGF) is typically overlooked in favor of the more utilized moment generating function. However, for certain types of random variables, the PGF may be more appealing. For example, sums of independent, non-negative, integer-valued random variables with finite support are easily studied via the PGF. In particular, the exact distribution of the sum can easily be calculated. Several illustrative classroom examples, with varying degrees of difficulty, are presented. All of the examples have been implemented using the R statistical software package.

康百万庄园是中原地区为数不多的清朝中、后期修建的大型地主庄园。整个建筑群充分利用自然地势,“靠山筑窑洞,临街建楼房,濒河设码头,居险垒寨墙,”体量规模宏大,空间变化多样,是这一时期河南西部地区民居的代表。     

Duocentered networks

When a pair of individuals is central to a research problem (e.g., husband and wife, PhD student and supervisor) the concept of “duocentered” networks can be defined as a useful extension of egocentered networks. This new structure consists of a pair of central egos and their direct links with alters, instead of just one central ego as in the egocentered networks or multiple egos as in complete networks. The key point in this kind of network is that ties exist between the central pair of egos and between them and all alters, but the ties among alters are not considered. Duocentered networks can also be considered as a compromise between egocentered and complete networks. Complete network measurements are often costly to obtain and tend to contain a large proportion of missing data (especially for peripheral actors). Egocentered network data are less costly but a lot of information is lost with their use when a pair of individuals is the relevant unit of analysis.     

中共中央机关移驻西柏坡日期新考——兼对人民解放军总部移驻西柏坡日期的考辨

目前,社会各界公认1948年5月26日中共中央和人民解放军移驻西柏坡.2008年笔者对此作过考辨,现作再考辨.中共中央机关撤离延安转移到晋西北后一分为三,应从三地中央机关实际来判断中央驻地.陕北中央前委机关以人民解放军总部为主,陕北若干村庄是中央军务机关暂时驻地.中央工委机关以组织部、宣传部、社会部、中央党校、青委、解放日报、军委政治部等十五个部、委、办为主,西柏坡是中央党务部门的驻地.三交镇主要是中央后委机关的驻地.西柏坡一身二任,既是中央工委所在地,又是中共中央机关所在地.中共中央机关1947年7月12日基本上移驻西柏坡,人民解放军总部1948年4月23日移驻西柏坡,毛泽东1948年5月27日入住西柏坡中央所在地.中共中央机关在西柏坡一年零九个月,不是十个月.     

A comparison of estimators of the precision of two instruments

Three different estimators of the variance in errors of measurement, or the “imprecisions” of instruments, have been proposed (Hahn and Nelson, 1970; Maxwell, 1974; Hanumara: 1975) for the case where two measurements by one instrument and one measurement by a second instrument are available for each item. The estimators are compared by studying the probabilities of negative values, the biases, the variances, and the mean square errors. Based on these results, Hahn and Nelson's estimators for the variances in errors of measurement are recommended. Simultaneous confidence intervals of the imprecisions of instruments are also given.
