A multivariate solution of the multivariate ranking and selection problem

The problem of selection of the best multivariate population is given a new formulation which does not involve reducing the populations to univariate quantities. This formulation's solution is developed for known, and (using the Heteroscedastic Method) also for unknown, variance-covariance matrices. Preference reversals and arbitrary nonlinear preference functions are explicitly allowed in this new theory     

Ban Estimation for Chi-Square Test Criteria in Categorical Data

This expository paper describes some recent work that further develops the theory of BAN estimators and the related chi-scuare test statistics.The extensions are in several directions: (a) the class of regular estimators is broadened by permitting extraneous random elements; (b) more general models are permitted under the constraint equations specification; and (c) BAN estimators are defined for general models combining features of two types of specification.In particular, WLS estimators are shown to be BAN.     

Model selection for Lévy measures in diffusion processes with jumps from discrete observations

We deal with parametric inference and selection problems for jump components in discretely observed diffusion processes with jumps. We prepare several competing parametric models for the Lévy measure that might be misspecified, and select the best model from the aspect of information criteria. We construct quasi-information criteria (QIC), which are approximations of the information criteria based on continuous observations.

审判委员会制度的理论架构

对审委会制度的改革,有人主张废除审委会制度为其核心内容;也有人主张目前应在保留的基础上予以改革和完善。废改之争,焦点是研究方法之争。主废和主改各有其弊,应通过立法程序按照“不审不判”的思路重塑审委会制度,明确审委会审判组织的地位,赋予其合议、陪审、咨询、调研四大职能及案件实体决定权和指导权,并建立和完善相应的程序。     

基于协调发展度的重大工程团队免疫系统健康评价研究

为评价重大工程团队免疫系统的健康和协调发展状况,本文提出了一种基于协调发展度的评价模型。首先通过文献查询和深度访谈,构建能够体现重大工程团队免疫系统特征的健康评价指标体系;其次利用改进的DEMATEL确定指标权重,然后采用多层次模糊综合评价将相关指标定量化,最终得出重大工程团队免疫系统的健康指数和协调发展度;再次确立重大工程团队免疫系统健康等级和协调发展度划分标准,同时提出免疫系统健康的跟踪评价策略;最后,利用本文模型对某跨国输气管道工程团队的免疫系统进行实证研究。结果表明,协调发展度模型既能反映重大工程团队免疫系统的整体健康程度,又能衡量固有性免疫和适应性免疫的协调发展状况,同时对免疫系统健康的跟踪评价也取得了良好效果。     

Identifying design criteria for urban system ‘last-mile’ solutions – a multi-stakeholder perspective

Abstract

This study presents a novel approach to design and evaluate ‘last-mile’ solutions – encompassing the social and economic perspectives of key stakeholders. While urban system initiatives have been implemented in practice, theoretical gaps remain at the operational design level. A theoretical framework is developed, based on design criteria identified from a critical synthesis of supply chain and operations management literature, and ‘operationalised’ using an in-depth case study demonstrating implementation of a Consumer Choice Portal-Package Consolidation Centre solution, within a densely populated urban geography. Findings suggest that there is a need to re-define the role of institutional actors beyond that of the traditional governance task, to one of being able to facilitate performance outcomes. Similarly, industrial efficiency dimensions need to be reorientated to include consumer participation, social considerations and multi-stakeholder service outcomes. Finally, implications for operations theory and practising managers in city logistics are highlighted, with suggested directions for future research.
