从三跳比例浅析男子三级跳远技术训练趋势

采用文献资料、对比分析等方法,研究不同类型的中外男子三级跳远优秀运动员三跳比例对运动成绩的影响,结果显示:中国男子三级跳远运动员更适合向“平跳速度型”发展,理想的三跳比例为33.5%、30%、36.5%。提高助跑速度和跳跃速度,并使速度保持到第三步是训练的重点,应更加重视合理的三跳比例、上下摆动技术和平衡能力的训练,逐步探索“跑跳型”新技术。     

基于PLC的自动封塑灌装机控制系统设计

为提高系统运行效率,设计自动封塑灌装机控制系统。运用PLC技术和PID调节技术,控制加热棒的温度,同时 控制包装薄膜的送给长度,使得该系统运行效率有显著提高;采用HMI来设计系统的操作控制、报警显示、延时设定、温 度设定及产量显示界面,同时触摸屏与PLC进行实时通信,以满足用户对功能的需求;最终通过合理选取系统硬件,实 现了封塑过程中加热棒温度的实时、可靠控制。     

Comparing Two Tests for Two Rates

This article rigorously proves superiority of the proportion χ² test to the logistic regression Wald test in terms of power when comparing two rates, despite their asymptotic equivalence under the null hypothesis that the two rates are equal.     

Notes on estimation of the proportion ratio in the presence of carryover effects under the AB/BA crossover trial

The authors focus discussion on estimation of the proportion ratio (PR) in the presence of residual effects under the AB/BA design. Under a random effects multiplicative risk model, we develop three point estimators and three interval estimators accounting for residual effects for the PR. Using Monte Carlo simulations, we compare the performance of these point (or interval) estimators with point (or interval) estimators assuming no residual effects with respect to the bias and mean-squared-error (or the coverage probability and average length). The authors use the data taken from an AB/BA trial comparing two new inhalation devices to illustrate the use of these estimators.     

Exact Inference for a Population Proportion Based on a Ranked Set Sample

ABSTRACT

This article develops and investigates a confidence interval and hypothesis testing procedure for a population proportion based on a ranked set sample (RSS). The inference is exact, in the sense that it is based on the exact distribution of the total number of successes observed in the RSS. Furthermore, this distribution can be readily computed with the well-known and freely available R statistical software package. A data example that illustrates the methodology is presented. In addition, the properties of the inference procedures are compared with their simple random sample (SRS) counterparts. In regards to expected lengths of confidence intervals and the power of tests, the RSS inference procedures are superior to the SRS methods.     

A Superstructure of Process Capability Indices for Circular Specification Region

Circular specification regions can be seen in processes like hitting a target (in ballistics), drilling a hole (in manufacturing industries) and so on. However, only a few process capability indices are available in the literature to address the problem. Most of these indices, in turn, make some assumptions like equality of variance and independence of the two axes of the circular tolerance region. Since, in most of the cases, these assumptions are not practically viable, in the present article, we have proposed a few of the process capability indices which do not need the above assumptions to be valid. Also, we propose a superstructure which unifies all the proposed indices. Some properties of these indices have been studied including the threshold value and the relationship of the proportion of non-conformance with the member indices of the superstructure. These strengthen the practical utility of the superstructure. Distributional properties like expectations and variances of the member indices of the superstructure are also studied to have a better insight about the indices. A real life example has been discussed to carry out a comparative study of the performance of the existing as well as the newly developed indices.     

On a Process Capability Index for Asymmetric Specifications

Abstract

Among the process capability indices considered in the literature C _pm is one of the most widely used, despite the fact that its performance often becomes unsatisfactory in the case of processes with asymmetric specifications, i.e., processes whose target value is not located at the midpoint of the specification area. In this article, a new index that is a variant of C _pm , is introduced and shown to overcome this deficiency. In particular, the proposed index performs satisfactorily for processes with symmetric or asymmetric specifications. Moreover, the article compares the suggested index with the existing indices for asymmetric specifications, investigates the distributional properties of its estimator under the assumption of normality and deals with the assessment of confidence intervals using three bootstrap methods. The coverage achieved by each of these methods is investigated via simulation.     

Notes on interval estimation of the proportion ratio under a three-treatment three-period crossover trial

When comparing two experimental treatments with a placebo, we focus our attention on interval estimation of the proportion ratio (PR) of patient responses under a three-period crossover design. We propose a random effects exponential multiplicative risk model and derive asymptotic interval estimators in closed form for the PR between treatments and placebo. Using Monte Carlo simulations, we compare the performance of these interval estimators in a variety of situations. We use the data comparing two different doses of an analgesic with placebo for the relief of primary dysmenorrhea to illustrate the use of these interval estimators and the difference in estimates of the PR and odds ratio (OR) when the underlying relief rates are not small.
