论网络传播中网民的责任与素养

当网络使网民享有自由传播的权利时,网民责任和素养则成为当下净化网络空间、提高网络品质的一个重点。文章提出网民在网络传播中的责任问题,并结合已有的理论和现实基础,分析了研究这一问题的必要性,并针对性地提供了一些当前网民应着重培养的责任与素养。     

Software Review: Linksys Wireless Network

This follow-up longitudinal study examined 86 social service agency websites that were previously examined in 2000. The websites were examined on dimensions of the language, readability, and disability access over a 10-year period. Data were gathered in 2000, 2005, and 2010. The results indicate that agencies are not creating websites that are user-friendly for diverse populations. This is due to complex reading and comprehension levels and a lack of language opportunities on the websites. Agencies may be able to better serve clients by a decrease in the sophistication of the agency website, namely reading comprehension levels.     

Causal Thinking and Computer Literacy

Summary

Professional practice in the human services often is based on implicit theories of causality regarding assessment of a problem and related interventions in a client's life. Complex applications of computing to this kind of professional activity require literacy about the underlying processes by which individuals make causal judgments. This paper presents a conceptual framework for understanding three components of causal thinking, the causal field, cues-to-causality, and causal theories, and their relationship to computing applications. For each component, several cognitive heuristics are described that can help individuals understand the components of causal thinking and link them to computer applications that might enhance the quality of professional practice.

在现代社会。媒介已成为儿童社会化的主体之一。它在儿童成长与适应社会的过程中扮演着越来越重要的角色。本文力求客观地评价传播媒介对儿童社会化的作用和影响，说明推行媒介素养教育、培养儿童媒介素养对儿童社会化的必要性及重要意义。     

How Do New Media Influence Youths’ Health Literacy? Exploring the Effects of Media Channel and Content on Safer Sex Literacy

Abstract

This study examines whether youths’ safer sex literacy and their intentions to share health-related information are affected by channel (websites vs. social networking sites) and content (fact-based vs. feeling-based content). A 2?×?2 factorial experiment with repeated measures was implemented in a large public university in Hong Kong. The results showed that website-based content facilitated respondents’ safer sex literacy and information sharing intentions more effectively than content based on social networking sites. The interaction effect suggests that feeling-based content yielded a stronger effect on information sharing intentions on the website than on the social networking site.     

A methodological evaluation of public relations research

An examination of journal articles published from 1989 to 2007 reveals that although public relations scholars appear to have followed rigorous procedures, reporting on research protocols is inadequate in some quantitative and qualitative studies. Most areas of needed improvement concern sins of omission, not of commission.

理工科大学生信息检索课程教学的创新设计

科学技术日新月异的发展使得信息检索教学赖以存在的基础和对象发生了深刻变化。面对这些变化和目前信息检索教学中存在的一些问题，对信息检索课程教学内容可作以下调整：增加文献保障系统和国内外主要文献信息检索系统的分布及特点等内容；弱化人工检索语言，并强化自然检索语言方面的内容；按功能合并各类信息检索系统使用方法的内容；删减专论信息利用方面的内容；提高教学起点。     

Research Articles in Australian Social Work from 1998–2007: A Content Analysis

Abstract

With the rise of evidence-based practice, there have been calls in social work for practice research that examines the efficacy of its interventions. For the present paper, the authors conducted a content analysis of all articles published in Australian Social Work in the period from 1998 to 2007 to examine the nature of published research and evaluation. Of the 313 articles, 138 (45%) reported on research findings. Of these, only six articles involved practice evaluation or testing of an instrument, but there were positive signs of a developing empirical research culture primarily utilising a qualitative approach or mixed methods studies. The authors suggest that there is a need for more research on social work interventions, a more conscious decision by the profession about its attitude to evidence-based practice (EBP), specific directions for research education, and greater rigour in reporting all types of research studies, but particularly qualitative studies.
