On the recovery of intra- and interblock information in n-ary designs

This note presents an extension of Q-method of analysis for binary designs given by Rao (1956) to n-ary balanced and partially balanced block designs. Here a linked n-ary block (LNB) design is defined as the dual of balanced n-ary (BN) design. Having a note on Yates’ (1939, 1940) method of P-analysis, we further extend the expressions for binary linked block (LB) designs given by Rao (1956) to linked n-ary block (LNB) designs which admit easy estimation of parameters for these type of all n-ary designs.     

“教”的读音演变及其与“叫”的历时更替

在表"使令"义上,唐代以前,主要以"使"、"令"为主;宋金时期,"教(交)"取代"使"和"令"成为当时口语中表"使令"义的主导词;而大约在明末清初,"教"在与"叫"的竞争中失去优势,被淘汰出局,"叫"成为至今表"使令"义的主导词。"教"本读去声,表"使令"义的"教"读作平声是为与原义区别而产生的一种破读,之所以后来又重新读为去声,是受"叫"读音影响的结果。     

A strong law of large number for negatively dependent and non identical distributed random variables in the framework of sublinear expectation

Abstract

In this article, in the framework of sublinear expectation initiated by Peng, we derive a strong law of large numbers (SLLN) for negatively dependent and non identical distributed random variables. This result includes and extends some existing results. Furthermore, we give two examples of our result for applications.     

中国城市化发展进程及展望

中国的城市化在改革开放后步入了平稳发展期,遵循城市化逻辑增长模型,利用1973-2008年的数据进行估计后得出:中国城市化年均增长速度为0.0412,远远快于0.01729的世界平均水平;2014年左右,中国将结束高速城市化过程,此时的城市化率将达50.11%;中国城市化的饱和值约为84.98%,而67%左右可能是中国未来20年城市化发展的顶部,此后城市化水平会在一个较长的时期维持在70%左右。     

Time-based goal chasing method for mixed-model assembly line problem with multiple work stations

In sequencing problems for mixed-model assembly line in JIT production system, the Goal Chasing method (GC) is widely used for parts used leveling goal. The difference in assembly time of each product is not taken into consideration in the Goal Chasing method. Assembly time usually varies with product types. In recent years, the Time-Based Goal Chasing method (TBGC) has been proposed. The advantage of TBGC is to consider the influence of different assembly time of each product and idle time in production period. TBGC, however, has been only applied to single work station problems. In this paper, TBGC is applied to an assembly line problem with multiple work stations. Furthermore, the sequencing method and use of Simulated Annealing (SA) or Local Search (LS) for this problem are proposed.     

必然、实然与应然：高校法律援助机构服务社会研究

高校法律援助机构的建立缓解了法律援助供需矛盾,但其发展过程中存在诸多亟待解决的问题,如自身管理混乱、经费不足、当事人不信任等。在分析了高校法律援助机构要服务于社会的必要性和可行性的基础上,通过对高校法律援助机构现状及弊端的研究,提出要加强高校法律援助机构服务社会的具体措施,包括完善相关立法、引进实习律师或高年级取得律师职业资格证的学生、规范其设立程序、确立双层管理体制及与社会组织合作等,以建立服务社会型高校法律援助机构。     

英语口语习得者心理状况与英语口语水平的关系研究

以200名大学本科生为研究对象,采取问卷调查、随机访谈和语言测试相结合的手段,对英语口语习得者的心理因素之间的关系,以及各因素与英语口语水平之间的关系进行了研究。结果表明：第一,英语口语习得者的个人心理因素对口语习得者的英语水平影响显著,且个人心理因素之间相互影响。英语口语水平较低及较高的习得者的自信性及学习兴趣强于中等水平者,而中等水平者的焦虑感却高于英语口语水平较低及较高者。第二,社会心理因素即学习动机、学习方法及学习环境与习得者的口语水平存在一定的相关性,各因素之间成正态分布。因而得出结论：个人心理因素是影响口语习得的内因,而社会心理因素是外因。     

Child custody issues and co‐occurrence of intimate partner violence and child maltreatment: controversies and points of agreement amongst practitioners

The situation of families undergoing separation in a context of co‐occurrence of intimate partner violence (IPV) and child maltreatment raises certain issues related to child custody. The results presented in this paper were collected and analysed within the framework of a qualitative study aiming to identify the principal points of agreement and the main controversies amongst practitioners in several different types of organizations. Focus groups were held with a total of 43 practitioners from six different settings concerned with child custody in cases of co‐occurrence of IPV and child maltreatment. Although they agreed on the importance of ensuring the safety of victims of violence, their views diverged on three points: (1) the importance of preserving the father–child relationship; (2) collaboration between voluntary organizations and semi‐voluntary or legal agencies; and (3) consideration of cultural differences.     

新颖的Chirp通信系统同步方法

提出的同步方法把Chirp信号扫频频率范围和扫频时间都扩展了一倍的本地信号与接收信号相乘,并利用乘积信号中主要频率分量的强度来构成反馈环路,再通过该反馈环路来对输入信号的延迟进行跟踪和锁定。分析和仿真结果表明,该方法可以完成系统的时间同步任务。该方法的核心在于把本地参考信号的扫频频率范围和扫频时间进行了扩展,从而排除了常用方法在宽带、超宽带情况下受信道影响的问题,同时由于避免了使用滑动相关器,也因此降低了复杂度。     

Inventory model for convertible item with deterioration

Abstract

In this article, we developed a model for a convertible item (or product) where initial form of the item converts into another product by consuming conversion cost and time both. After duration, it converts again into a new product of a different nature. It is a sequential-type conversion from initial into two other products over states. The demand pattern and deterioration rate differ at each converted state. An inventory model is developed for such a kind of sequential convertible item. Expressions for total cost and other related costs (as per states) are derived and optimal time to convert the product in different states are calculated under model assumptions. A numerical example is incorporated in support of the theoretical findings and it validates the strength of the model.
