A Multiple-community Overlap Measure Based on a Probabilistic Approach

Species diversity indices are designed to measure the species diversity of a community and to compare the species distribution structure of two communities. The Shannon and Simpson indices are for describing one community, and the Jaccard and Morisita indices are for comparing two communities. Only a few indices allow the simultaneous comparison of three or more communities. In this study, we propose a multiple-community similarity index based on a probabilistic approach, and compare it with other multiple-community indices. Empirical examples are considered as a demonstration of the proposed similarity indices.     

The Effects of Process and Outcome Similarity on Users' Evaluations of Decision Aids*

Decision aids (DA) used in online shopping contexts have been shown to improve users' product choices. Given that previous research (e.g., Byrne & Griffitt, 1973 ) has demonstrated the positive effects of perceived similarity on an individual's evaluation of others, this study investigates the effects of users' perceived similarity with a DA on their evaluations of that DA. More specifically, we investigate the effect of users' perceptions of the similarity between their own decision process and that followed by the DA to arrive at a recommendation (decision process similarity), as well as the similarity between the recommendations made by the DA and users' initial choices (outcome similarity), on their evaluations of the DA's usefulness and trustworthiness. The results of this study show that perceived process similarity exerts positive and significant effects on users' perceptions of the DA's usefulness and trustworthiness. However, the effects of perceived outcome similarity on trust are completely mediated by perceived process similarity. It is also observed that the level of the user's domain knowledge moderates the effects of perceived decision process similarity on both perceived usefulness and trustworthiness. These results have implications for DA design. It is important that designers consider the process by which users make decisions for themselves and align the DA's decision process with those of the user's, especially for the novice user. The full mediation of the effect of outcome similarity on trust by process similarity highlights how a similar decision process can mitigate some of the negative effects of outcome dissimilarity.     

Weighted similarity tests for location-scale families of stable distributions

ABSTRACT

The class of stable distributions plays a central role in the study of asymptotic behavior of normalized partial sums, the same role performed by normal distribution among those with finite second moment. In this note, by exploiting the connection between stable laws and regularly varying functions, we present weighted similarity tests for stable location-scale families. The proposed weight functions are based on the 2nd-order Mallows distance between the empirical distribution and the root stable distribution. And the resulting statistics converge weakly to functionals of Brownian bridge.     

基于TOPSIS法的黑龙江装备制造企业AMT选择

结合黑龙江装备制造企业实际,采用因子分析法构建黑龙江装备制造企业先进制造技术选择评价指标体系,然后将TOPSIS法引入到黑龙江装备制造企业先进制造技术选择中,构建黑龙江装备制造企业先进制造技术选择评价模型,最后将该模型应用于具体的实例,验证了TOPSIS法的可行性和实用性。     

基于区间模糊DEMATEL和TOPSIS法的产品方案评价

针对目前产品方案评价方法存在的不足,提出一种基于区间模糊理论的多属性决策模型,该模型结合DEMATEL 法和TOPSIS算法,采用区间模糊理论表达信息的不确定性：由DEMATEL方法对产品方案评价系统中的评价指标进行 量化分析,对指标集进行因果分类、重要度排序和权重分配;在TOPSIS框架下构建区间模糊矩阵,计算其正、负理想解和 接近度,根据接近度对产品备选方案进行比较,并进行了实例分析。结果表明,该评价方法和理论具有一定的实用性和 可行性。     

电视剧同质化原因探析

电视剧同质化现象是阻碍我国电视剧产业的突出问题。产生这一现象的原因在于电视频道数量扩张过快,电视节目相对不足,我国电视剧产业成长初期的无序竞争以及管理体制、市场机制欠成熟。     

相似理论在热水锅炉水动力试验研究中的应用

本文阐述热水锅炉水动力模化试验方法,以及原型与模型相似所必须遵守的条件。提出按照相似理论设计模化试验装置时,可利用流体进入自模化后,流体流动状态及速度分布与Re无关这一特点来简化相似条件。同时以120×10~4kcal/h(503×10~4J/h)自然循环热水锅炉为例,具体说明模化试验装置的设计

本文通过对陶渊明诗歌和西方“湖畔诗人”诗歌的比较,探索两者在题材、主题和创作风格上的相同(相近)及相异之处,以加深对中西诗歌创作的理解.     

Vague(值)集间的接近度及其在网络信息过滤中的应用

鉴于已知的一些Vague集间的相似度量和距离公式有缺陷,提出用分段函数表达的Vague(值)集间的接近度的定义,给出了三个加权接近度公式.给出在Vague环境下用Vague集间的接近度进行网络信息过滤的方法.应用实例表明所给公式皆是有效的.
