提高教学质量的管理方法探讨

文章提出了广东工业大学发展过程中存在的问题及有关现状,探讨了教学管理的科学方法与思路,同时阐述了管理与教风和学风之间的相互关联,以及教学管理上的科学性与规范性。     

学生自主选择学习目标的课程教学调查研究——以在职教师《教育技术学》课程教学为例

在职教师《教育技术学》教学中,由于学习目标不明确、教学方式单一,造成学生学习动力不足、学而不能用等问题。实验研究结果表明学生自主选择学习目标的教学方法在激发学习兴趣,吸引学生主动参与学习活动,课后在自己的教学中主动运用所学知识技能等方面要优于教师告知学生学习目标的教学方法。     

Product diversification through licensing: Empirical evidence from Chinese firms

Anecdotal evidence suggests that manufacturing firms are able to engage in product diversification through external technology acquisitions, such as technology licensing. However, there is little empirical evidence regarding this proposition to link inward technology licensing and firms’ product diversification or to suggest when and under what conditions the effect of diversification through this channel may be mitigated or augmented. The current study aims to address this research gap through an empirical investigation of a sample of 141 Chinese manufacturing licensee firms. The results indicate that inward technology licensing is positively related to a firm’s diversification and that this relationship is further moderated by a licensee firm’s R&D expenditure and technological distance relative to the licensor firm.     

ENHANCING DISCOURSE ON NEW TECHNOLOGY WITHIN HIGHER EDUCATION

Universities face challenges in creating and nurturing reflective discourse about ICTs within higher education. Constraints to this discourse include time-space compression caused by ICTs, and changing perceptions of the university's role in an information society. In answering these challenges, a call is made for elevating the role of higher education in public knowledge formation. Such a move reduces the constraints of time pressures by valuing discussion and debate and the time required for these activities, and questions authority and credibility gained solely due to practical and discursive technological competency. Thus, the question is not just to explore how communications technologies are shaping our experience of time and space, but to debate how we wish to use technologies and other means to shape and create the time and space in which meaningful human social and political life is possible. Institutions of higher education should both serve as sites for public knowledge formation, and as contributors to such initiatives in civic society.     

长春工程学院大学生心理健康状况分析与研究

大学生的心理健康问题不仅对整个社会的发展有着至关重要的影响,而且对国家未来发展起着重要的作用.针对长春工程学院在校大学生关于心理健康状况的调查问卷和访谈中发现,当前大学生在心理健康方面存在诸多心理问题,并探讨和提出提高大学生心理健康水平的措施和对策.     

国内“社会技术”研究综述

纵观国内的社会技术和社会技术哲学研究历程,显示出如下阶段特征。第一阶段,提出和界定"社会技术"概念,阐述研究社会技术的意义;第二阶段,论证社会技术的存在,对社会技术进行分类;第三阶段,分析社会技术的本质,提出"社会技术哲学"研究纲领;第四阶段,对社会技术的理论与应用问题进行拓展探究,引介国外社会技术哲学研究状况。国内的社会技术哲学还处于学科创立的初级阶段,在研究上取得了一定的成果,但所依靠的学科根基还比较薄弱,还没有形成独立的研究范式。在社会技术的构成要素、社会技术的发明应用模式、社会技术哲学的研究范式等方面还有待于深入探讨。     

From technology race to technology marathon: A behavioral explanation of technology advancement

In industries characterized by continual progress from lower to higher generations of technology, firms seek to solidify their competitive position by deploying technologies more advanced than their current ones. This study attempts to provide behavioral explanations for the degree of technology advancement pursued by a firm. Using data from the flat panel display industry, we find that the extent of a firm's technology advancement is largely determined by how far it falls below the industry average. Our findings complement prior research on technology races by suggesting that firms in the thin-film-transistor liquid-crystal display (TFT-LCD) industry largely attempt to run a “marathon” rather than a sprint: the degree of technology advancement is mainly guided by a desire not to fall behind the pack as opposed to trying to move ahead of the pack in order to win the race. By the same token, firms exceeding the industry average in their technology reveal little motivation even to maintain their lead, much less extend it.

Locating Gender Neutrality in Formal and Informal Aspects of Organizational Cultures

This article describes and analyzes the practices that conceal gender at work in the contexts of different organizational cultures. The case studies on which I base my discussion derive from clerical work in two organizational settings. The interpretation I suggest is that regardless of their sex, age or hierarchical position at work, employees regard gender as a personal and intimate issue that, with the exception of pay, does not belong to the sphere of work. Gender issues raise questions that disturb the preferred harmony in everyday life in workplaces. Consequently, the employees seemed to think that hierarchical differences are located in society at large, not in their own workplaces. The analysis shows that age, position and technology shaped differences not only between women and men in organizations, but also among female clerical workers. Thus the results relate both to the practical realities at work and to the gender identities of clerical employees in their organizational cultures.
