From a cognitive perspective, mental models held by individuals are thought to guide interactions with objects or systems, including interpersonal interactions. Frameworks that categorize types of interactions in organizations suggest that they are guided by cultures and mental models that range from the egoistic to the cosmos-centric. From a behavioral perspective, what the cognitive approach calls mental models are sets of verbal rules. Therefore, we suggest that behavior analysis could be used to reconceptualize the mental model literature, generating new research questions and more rigorous experimentation. Cognitive constructs such as more expansive mental models may simply be a function of an individual’s or group’s increased attention to interlocking contingencies. Applying behavioral interventions such as acceptance and commitment therapy could be a way to examine the utility of a behavior analytic approach. 相似文献

虽然在线研讨平台已经广泛应用并受到学术界的大量关注,它的信息组织结构却还是停留在非常原始的阶段。关于哪一类信息组织结构更适合在线研讨的研究一直很少,仅有的一些研究也很零散,并且研究结果难以统一,因此就非常迫切需要可以系统化解释在线群体研讨中最优信息组织结构的理论。文章从任务—技术匹配的观点出发,从沟通、协调组织和信息处理3个维度阐述了任务和信息组织结构之间的匹配关系,并将其用于预测不同任务—技术匹配环境下的研讨绩效。设计了实验来验证这种匹配关系与研讨绩效之间的关系。实验结果表明,对主意产生型任务,采用线性结构的研讨平台比采用树状结构的研讨平台具有更高的研讨绩效;对于决策型任务,采用树状结构的研讨平台比采用线性结构的研讨平台具有更高的研讨绩效。所展示的匹配分析的理论和方法具有一定的扩展性,当有新类型任务到来或新技术被发明时,就可以用这种方法去分析新任务和新技术的匹配性,进而预测群体的绩效。 相似文献

Many studies have shown that the relationship between nonresidential fathers and their children in youth has a lasting influence on their relationship in adulthood. Comparatively less is known about the process through which divorce affects father–child relationships. We assess if and how the divorce circumstances of interparental conflict, the presence of new partners, and geographical distance between parents affect nonresidential father–child closeness in adulthood. Using a path model, we test whether father–adult child closeness is mediated by fathers’ involvement after divorce. The results of this study demonstrate that the level of interparental conflict and the presence of a fathers’ new partner after the divorce negatively affect the closeness between fathers and children in adulthood. Our mediation analysis demonstrates that both the effects of interparental conflict and new partnerships on closeness are partially mediated by father involvement and contact frequency during childhood. In other words, it is partly through the negative effect that interparental conflict and new partners have on fathers’ involvement that fathers and children become less close later in life. Our study highlights the importance of disentangling the effects of different factors associated with divorce when examining nonresidential father–child relationships. 相似文献

The determinants of store choice on the part of the consumer are complex. Our study indicates that consumers find the issues relevant to store choice as lacking in quality and certainly not congruent nor tangential to the retail marketing concept. As our model shows, perceptions are developed through stimuli that are created by the retail environment both internal and external. If these were the only issues retailers had to deal with, their challenge in understanding consumer store choice behavior would be formidable. Add to those dimensions the perceptions that are formed through the consumer's own psychological, physiological and behavioral attributes and the complexities of the challenge can seem to be insurmountable. The complexity of the situation increases exponentially when, as our research seems to indicate, the psychological and behavioral components can be compounded by such little understood dimensions as ambivalence and vicarious sociality. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Retailers need to benefit themselves by reaching out the broad resources of research to effectively develop the resource information necessary to successfully position themselves relative to their consumers expectations.
