To enhance modeling flexibility, the authors propose a nonparametric hazard regression model, for which the ordinary and weighted least squares estimation and inference procedures are studied. The proposed model does not assume any parametric specifications on the covariate effects, which is suitable for exploring the nonlinear interactions between covariates, time and some exposure variable. The authors propose the local ordinary and weighted least squares estimators for the varying‐coefficient functions and establish the corresponding asymptotic normality properties. Simulation studies are conducted to empirically examine the finite‐sample performance of the new methods, and a real data example from a recent breast cancer study is used as an illustration. 制造业的发展关系到第二产业乃至整个国民经济的发展,制造业的增长是中国工业经济增长的主导力量。本文运用数据包络分析法,测度了制造业各行业及中国各省制造业效率情况,然后利用中国省级制造业效率指标以及专利申请、地区经济发展水平等制造业效率影响因素的外延数据构成面板数据(Panel Data)建立模型。通过实证分析得出:地区经济的发展有利于制造业效率的提升。专利申请与制造业效率呈负相关。  相似文献

In: Proceedings on the Ninth IEEE International Conference on Computer Vision (ICCV’03), vol. 1, IEEE Computer Society Press, Silver Spring, MD, pp. 548–553], we introduce and study the cumulative entropy, which is a new measure of information alternative to the classical differential entropy. We show that the cumulative entropy of a random lifetime X can be expressed as the expectation of its mean inactivity time evaluated at X. Hence, our measure is particularly suitable to describe the information in problems related to ageing properties of reliability theory based on the past and on the inactivity times. Our results include various bounds to the cumulative entropy, its connection to the proportional reversed hazards model, and the study of its dynamic version that is shown to be increasing if the mean inactivity time is increasing. The empirical cumulative entropy is finally proposed to estimate the new information measure.  相似文献

In a sample of censored survival times, the presence of an immune proportion of individuals who are not subject to death, failure or relapse, may be indicated by a relatively high number of individuals with large censored survival times. In this paper the generalized log-gamma model is modified for the possibility that long-term survivors may be present in the data. The model attempts to separately estimate the effects of covariates on the surviving fraction, that is, the proportion of the population for which the event never occurs. The logistic function is used for the regression model of the surviving fraction. Inference for the model parameters is considered via maximum likelihood. Some influence methods, such as the local influence and total local influence of an individual are derived, analyzed and discussed. Finally, a data set from the medical area is analyzed under the log-gamma generalized mixture model. A residual analysis is performed in order to select an appropriate model. There are now three essentially separate literatures on the topics of multiple systems estimation, record linkage, and missing data. But in practice the three are intimately intertwined. For example, record linkage involving multiple data sources for human populations is often carried out with the expressed goal of developing a merged database for multiple system estimation (MSE). Similarly, one way to view both the record linkage and MSE problems is as ones involving the estimation of missing data. This presentation highlights the technical nature of these interrelationships and provides a preliminary effort at their integration.  相似文献

Here we consider wavelet-based identification and estimation of a censored nonparametric regression model via block thresholding methods and investigate their asymptotic convergence rates. We show that these estimators, based on block thresholding of empirical wavelet coefficients, achieve optimal convergence rates over a large range of Besov function classes, and in particular enjoy those rates without the extraneous logarithmic penalties that are usually suffered by term-by-term thresholding methods. This work is extension of results in Li et al. (2008). The performance of proposed estimator is investigated by a numerical study.  相似文献

Using functional principal component analysis, a method for testing equality of K largest eigenvalues and the corresponding eigenfunctions, together with its generalization to a corresponding change point problem is suggested. Missing data are present in almost all statistical analysis. In simple paired design tests, when some subject has one of the involved variables missing in the so-called partially overlapping samples scheme, it is usually discarded for the analysis. The lack of consistency between the information reported in the univariate and multivariate analysis is, perhaps, the main consequence. Although the randomness on the missing mechanism (missingness completely at random) is an usual and needed assumption for this particular situation, missing data presence could lead to serious inconsistencies on the reported conclusions. In this paper, the authors develop a simple and direct procedure which allows using the whole available information in order to perform paired tests. In particular, the proposed methodology is applied to check the equality among the means from two paired samples. In addition, the use of two different resampling techniques is also explored. Finally, real-world data are analysed.  相似文献

The mixture distribution models are more useful than pure distributions in modeling of heterogeneous data sets. The aim of this paper is to propose mixture of Weibull–Poisson (WP) distributions to model heterogeneous data sets for the first time. So, a powerful alternative mixture distribution is created for modeling of the heterogeneous data sets. In the study, many features of the proposed mixture of WP distributions are examined. Also, the expectation maximization (EM) algorithm is used to determine the maximum-likelihood estimates of the parameters, and the simulation study is conducted for evaluating the performance of the proposed EM scheme. Applications for two real heterogeneous data sets are given to show the flexibility and potentiality of the new mixture distribution.  相似文献
