Divergence-based estimation and testing with misclassified data

The well-known chi-squared goodness-of-fit test for a multinomial distribution is generally biased when the observations are subject to misclassification. In Pardo and Zografos (2000) the problem was considered using a double sampling scheme and ø-divergence test statistics. A new problem appears if the null hypothesis is not simple because it is necessary to give estimators for the unknown parameters. In this paper the minimum ø-divergence estimators are considered and some of their properties are established. The proposed ø-divergence test statistics are obtained by calculating ø-divergences between probability density functions and by replacing parameters by their minimum ø-divergence estimators in the derived expressions. Asymptotic distributions of the new test statistics are also obtained. The testing procedure is illustrated with an example.     

COMPARISONS AND SELECTION OF TWO-PARAMETER EXPONENTIAL POPULATIONS

For two-parameter exponential populations with the same scale parameter (known or unknown) comparisons are made between the location parameters. This is done by constructing confidence intervals, which can then be used for selection procedures. Comparisons are made with a control, and with the (unknown) “best” or “worst” population. Emphasis is laid on finding approximations to the confidence so that calculations are simple and tables are not necessary. (Since we consider unequal sample sizes, tables for exact values would need to be extensive.)

Multiple imputation of missing data with ante-dependence covariance structure

A controlled clinical trial was conducted to investigate the efficacy effect of a chemical compound in the treatment of Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD). The data from the trial showed a non-monotone pattern of missing data and an ante-dependence covariance structure. A new analytical method for imputing the missing data with the ante-dependence covariance is proposed. The PMDD data are analysed by the non-imputation method and two imputation methods: the proposed method and the MCMC method.

上犹社溪方言实词的兼类与活用

当语言中的一个新词诞生以后 ,只要表示与之相关的动作变化或状态的动词或形容词没有产生 ,就很可能直接用这个词来表示这种相关的动作变化或状态。因此 ,词的兼类是各种语言或方言、或各个不同时期的同一语言中常见的现象。在语言的发展史上 ,尽可能减少词的兼类现象 ,特别是通过形态变化等手段把兼类的词分化为不同的词 ,还有些词存在活用现象 ,显得很有地方特色。从此角度说 ,客家方言保留着较多的古语痕迹。     

学校早期读写训练对儿童读写成绩的影响

利用儿童家庭一学校早期语言与识字能力系列测验对每个目标儿童语言与识字能力发展进行了评定，并解释了这些测量结果与儿童学校早期语言与识字测量指标之间的关系。结果表明：(1)儿童丰富的同伴关系与词汇量、应变识字能力、下定义能力和理解力有关；(2)教师语言的丰富性有助于儿童语言与识字能力发展；(3)识字课程变量与三岁儿童的应变识字成绩和四岁儿童词汇量和故事理解有关；(4)影响儿童语言与识字能力的因素不是单一的，而是一个因素群。     

民族地区构建和谐社会应加强对传统多元生态文化的利用和改造

“人与自然和谐相处”是社会主义和谐社会的六个基本特征之一,民族地区构建社会主义和谐社会必须考虑到传统多元生态文化的功能。在开放的、以市场经济为主导的现代社会生态经济系统下,传统多元生态文化的约束力远不如在传统社会生态经济系统中那么有效、广泛。民族地区只有在维护自身生态经济系统可持续运作的基础上,进一步加强对传统多元生态文化的利用和改造,才能充分发挥生态文化的协调功能。因此,民族地区应当在继续维护传统生态文化的多元性、科学性和合理性的同时,根据现行社会生态经济系统的特征,把其改造成为“强生态文化”,构建以科学发展观为基础,具有较强约束力的、适应现行社会生态经济系统的、协调人与自然关系的,包括精神、物质、制度层面的整体文化体系。     

外语考试的计算机语料库建设

计算机语料库是以语篇为基础对语言进行研究的一门新兴交叉型学科。20世纪90年代以来,应用不断更新的计算机技术建立的各类语料库,使语言研究的手段与方法都发生了巨大变化。但在开发以各类考试材料为语料的专门用途语料库方面,发展却相对滞后。大学英语四、六级考试是我国高等教育最重要的大规模外语考试,对推动大学外语教学起到了功不可没的作用。研究并建成大学英语四、六级考试计算机语料库,对大学外语教学具有很大意义。
