Local influence in box-cox transformation for multivariate regression data

The Box-Cox power family of transformations for multivariate regression data is considered. The influence of cases on the maximum likelihood estimators of the transformation parameters is investigated using the local influence approach, An example is given to- illustrate the local influence method and to show the effectiveness of the method.     

Actuarial balance sheets as a tool to assess the sustainability of social security pension systems

The choice of the methodology used to produce a social security pension system's balance sheet is mainly determined by the system's financing approach. In this article, it is shown using the example of the Canada Pension Plan that if the assessment of the financial sustainability of a pay‐as‐you‐go or partially funded system is done through the means of an actuarial balance sheet, then the methodology used should take into account future contributions of current and future participants. The balance sheets produced using the open group approach, as well as methodologies used in United States and Sweden, are discussed.

Local influence in multivariate regression

The method of local influence is generalized to the multivariate regression. The scheme of perturbations adopted in multivariate regression is similar in spirit to the perturbation of case-weights in univariate regression case. The method developed here is useful for identifying influential observations in multivariate regression as an exploratory or confirmatory data analysis. An illustrative example is given for the effectiveness of the local influence approach in multivariate regression.

为了增强Ｓｈａｍｉｒ密钥共享的（ｋ，ｎ）门限方案的安全性，文中基于单向哈希函数介绍了一种简单的欺骗者认定方法。该欺骗者认定方法引入算术编码原理之后不仅能检测出密钥重构过程中的欺骗行为，而且能确定谁是欺骗者。     

Bayesian Analysis of Different Hybrid and Progressive Life Tests

Type-I and Type-II censoring schemes are the widely used censoring schemes available for life testing experiments. A mixture of Type-I and Type-II censoring schemes is known as a hybrid censoring scheme. Different hybrid censoring schemes have been introduced in recent years. In the last few years, a progressive censoring scheme has also received considerable attention. In this article, we mainly consider the Bayesian inference of the unknown parameters of two-parameter exponential distribution under different hybrid and progressive censoring schemes. It is observed that in general the Bayes estimate and the associated credible interval of any function of the unknown parameters, cannot be obtained in explicit form. We propose to use the Monte Carlo sampling procedure to compute the Bayes estimate and also to construct the associated credible interval. Monte Carlo Simulation experiments have been performed to see the effectiveness of the proposed method in case of Type-I hybrid censored samples. The performances are quite satisfactory. One data analysis has been performed for illustrative purposes.

采用正交实验和教学实践相结合的研究方法,对提高初三女生短跑成绩的教法手段进行了研究;正交实验结果显示,影响女生50米跑成绩的因素其主次顺序为:绝时速度、速度力量、加速能力、速度耐力,最优搭配方案为A2B2C3D1;通过教学实践检验,新的搭配方案明显地提高学生的运动能力.     

A Bayesian nonparametric estimator of a multivariate survival function

Using reinforced processes related to beta-Stacy process and generalized Pólya urn scheme jointly with a structure assumption about dependence, a Bayesian nonparametric prior and a predictive estimator for a multivariate survival function are provided. This estimator can be computed through an easy implementation of a Gibbs sampler algorithm. Moreover consistency of the estimator is studied.     

Economically optimal markovian sampling policies for process monitoring

A variable delay process sampling procedure is considered in a Markov chain structure. The paper extends the basic sampling method given in Arnold (1970). Analytic properties of the process are developed for expected sample size and distribution of the sample size. A primary concern in the paper is the development of an objective function to enhance ability to select optimal sampling policies. The objective function involves cost due to sampling and protection costs for detecting undesirable conditions.
