ON THE STRONG LAW OF LARGE NUMBERS UNDER REARRANGEMENTS FOR SEQUENCES OF BLOCKWISE ORTHOGONAL RANDOM ELEMENTS IN BANACH SPACES

The condition of the strong law of large numbers is obtained for sequences of random elements in type p Banach spaces that are blockwise orthogonal. The current work extends a result of Chobanyan & Mandrekar (2000) [On Kolmogorov SLLN under rearrangements for orthogonal random variables in a B ‐space. J. Theoret. Probab. 13, 135–139.] Special cases of the main results are presented as corollaries, and illustrative examples are provided.     

Distributions and moments of record values in a sequence of maximally dependent random variables

A sequence of possibly dependent random variables is maximally dependent if all the sample maxima in the sequence have stochastically maximal distributions in the class of all distributions with the same marginals. For a sequence of maximally dependent standard uniform random variables, we determine the distribution functions of record times and values. We show that the distribution of the record occurrence times coincides with the respective distribution for the i.i.d. sequence, and the distributions of the record values are stochastically maximal in the class of sequences with the same record times distributions, containing all the exchangeable sequences. We also derive analytic formulae for the moments of record values from the maximally dependent sequence, and compare them with those of the i.i.d. case.     

Theoretical and practical issues in purchasing power parities illustrated with reference to the 1993 Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development data

This paper deals first with some theoretical issues in purchasing power parities, including the definition of a generalized class of additive indices, which includes the standard Geary–Khamis and Iklé indices as special cases, and the definition of indicators of price and quantity structure which are independent of the particular units in which quantities are originally expressed. The paper then provides a comparative analysis of the results of applying these techniques to the 1993 Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development data and relates the results to underlying features of the price and expenditure data.     

汉语古诗词中模糊数字的翻译

古诗词中含有大量的模糊数字，这些数字对诗词的意境刻画起了重要作用。本文从文化角度出发，采用英汉对比的方法，通过对诗词中数字特殊文化内涵的分析，探讨模糊数字的翻译方法——直译法、转移法和归化法。     

论罗马数字的规范化问题

当前，中文电子媒体中作为序号的罗马数字使用很不规范。基于对传媒语言语料库的详细调查，我们分析了这种现象产生的可能原因及不规范使用罗马数字可能带来的问题，并提出了规范化使用罗马数字的建议。     

On the statistical inference of a machine-generated autoregressive AR(1) model

We have obtained the asymptotic bias and the limiting distribution for the Yule–Walker estimator of the autoregressive parameter under a considerably weaker assumption than that of independence in the noise sequence. Among other things, these suggest robustness of the classical results and throw some light on the use of simulations based on pseudorandom numbers in verifying these results.     

稀土贸易和管理政策比较研究——以日本、美国、中国为例

2006年以来,中国的＂稀土新政＂引发了全球对稀土的关注,开辟新的稀土生产点和供应链成为全球性问题。除欧盟、俄罗斯积极制定相关政策外,日本政府不仅明确了稀土的国家战略储备矿产地位,而且确立了稀土保障制度四大支柱。美国政府则对1998年停止执行的国家稀土战略储备制度进行了检讨,并宣布从2012年起恢复国内稀土开采,同时拓展中国以外的稀土供给渠道。而中国稀土产业可持续发展则需要解决无序开采、环境破坏和出口定价权丧失等问题。     

稀土氧化物对CuO-CeO2/γ-Al2O3/Cord.催化剂性能的影响

以拟薄水铝石为原料,HNO3为胶溶剂,采用溶胶-凝胶法制得稳定的γ-AlOOH溶胶,分别添加La、Y、Nd、Pr、Ce等稀土氧化物,对蜂窝陶瓷载体进行表面涂层,再以CuO-CeO2为活性组分制得催化剂.利用色谱流动反应法、H2-TPR以及XRD对其性能及结构进行了测试,结果表明,添加La2O3、Y2O3、Ce2O3的催化剂比不添加任何稀土氧化物的催化剂的活性好,且添加Y2O3后催化剂的选择性在175℃时仍能达到90%.
