In this article, MA and doctoral dissertations (673) on public relations written at Turkish universities (1984–2007) are examined in order to gain an understanding of the level of the theses within the discipline and that subjects are studied, too. The conclusion is that their contribution to public relations’ improvement and especially theory building has been negligible. Written theses are standing out the practical or operational, and no existence any dissertations related to public relations theory. 相似文献

Using data drawn from the Canadian, Mexican, and U.S. censuses, we find a numerically comparable and statistically significant inverse relation between immigrant‐induced shifts in labor supply and wages in each of the three countries: A 10% labor supply shift is associated with a 3%–4% opposite‐signed change in wages. Despite the similarity in the wage response, the impact of migration on the wage structure differs significantly across countries. International migration narrowed wage inequality in Canada; increased it in the United States; and reduced the relative wage of workers at the bottom of the skill distribution in Mexico. This paper studies the efficacy of immigrant selection based on skill requirements in the Canadian context. The point system
results in a much higher skill level than would otherwise be achieved by family preferences. This positive selection is achieved
by directly selecting higher-skilled principal applicants who are assessed by the point system and also indirectly through
higher-skilled spouses. However, due to difficulties in transfer of foreign human capital, immigrants admitted for their skills
do not necessarily perform better in the labor market and important factors used to assess admissibility have very limited
