Handling of Pragmatic Expressions in Interpreting

With the development of human civilization,interpreting functions as a bridge in cross-cultural communication.Interpreting,as a cross-cultural communication,can not be successfully completed with good language ability only,and a good pragmatic ability is important as well.Therefore,appropriate handling of pragmatic expressions is critical in achieving a successful result in interpreting.This thesis illustrates the handling of pragmatic expressions in interpreting from three aspects of pragmalinguistics,sociopragmatics and interpreting for specific audience by explaining theories on pragmatics and citing examples.These will enable readers to better understand pragmatic uses in interpreting and develop interpreting skills.
