Testing homogeneity of multivariate normal mean vectors under an order restriction when the covariance matrices are unknown, arbitrary positive definite and unequal are considered. This problem of testing has been studied to some extent, for example, by Kulatunga and Sasabuchi (1984 Kulatunga, D. D. S., Sasabuchi, S. (1984). A test of homogeneity of mean vectors against multivariate isotonic alternatives. Mem Fac Sci, Kyushu Univ Ser A Mathemat 38:151161. [Google Scholar]) when the covariance matrices are known and also Sasabuchi et al. (2003 Sasabuchi, S., Tanaka, K., Tsukamodo, T. (2003). Testing homogeneity of multivariate normal mean vectors under an order restriction when the covariance matrices are common but unknown. Annals of Statistics. 31(5):15171536.[Web of Science ®] [Google Scholar]) and Sasabuchi (2007 Sasabuchi, S. (2007). More powerful tests for homogeneity of multivariate normal mean vectors under an order restriction. Sankhya 69(4):700716. [Google Scholar]) when the covariance matrices are unknown but common. In this paper, a test statistic is proposed and because of the main advantage of the bootstrap test is that it avoids the derivation of the complex null distribution analytically, a bootstrap test statistic is derived and since the proposed test statistic is location invariance the bootstrap p-value defined logical and some steps are presented to estimate it. Our numerical studies via Monte Carlo simulation show that the proposed bootstrap test can correctly control the type I error rates. The power of the test for some of the p-dimensional normal distributions is computed by Monte Carlo simulation. Also, the null distribution of test statistic is estimated using kernel density. Finally, the bootstrap test is illustrated using a real data.  相似文献

Consider the problem of testing the isotonic of several p-variate normal mean vectors against all alternatives. It is difficult to compute the exact p-value for this problem of testing with the classical method when the covariance matrices are completely unknown. In the present paper, a test statistic is proposed for this problem of testing. A reformulation of the test statistic is given based on the orthogonal projections on the closed convex cones and then the upper bound for p-value of the test statistic is computed.  相似文献

In this study, a hybrid discrete event simulation (DES) and system dynamics (SD) methodology is applied to model and simulate aggregate production planning (APP) problem for the first time. DES is used to simulate operational-level and shop-floor activities incorporated into APP and estimate critical time-based control parameters used in SD model of APP and SD is used to simulate APP as a collection of aggregate-level strategic decisions. The main objective of this study is to determine and analyse the effectiveness of APP strategies regarding the Total Profit criterion by developing a hybrid DES–SD simulation model for APP in a real-world manufacturing company. The simulation results demonstrated that the priority of APP strategies with regards to Total Profit criterion is: (1) the pure chase strategy, (2) the modified chase strategy, (3) the pure level strategy, (4) the modified level strategy, (5) the mixed strategy and (6) the demand management strategy, respectively. The APP system is first simulated under mixed strategy (basic scenario) conditions to include all APP capacity and demand options in constructed SD simulation model to show a comprehensive view of APP components and their interdependent interactions. Then, the obtained results will be used as Total Profit measure to compare with system's performance under some experimental scenarios applying different APP strategies.  相似文献

In the present paper, we consider the classical compound Poisson risk model with dependence between claim sizes and claim inter-arrival time. We attempt to analyze the approximation of finite time ruin probability. The finite time ruin probabilities are plotted for fixed threshold value associated to the claim inter-arrival time and also for fixed dependence parameter in Nelsen (2006) copula separately. Additionally, a general form for joint density of the interclaim times and claim sizes is considered. With respect to the classical Gerber-Shiu's (1998) function, first some structural density properties of dependent collective risk model is obtained. Then the ladder height probability density function of claim sizes is computed and the dependency structure investigated for Erlang interclaim time. As the application, some dependent models of the interclaim times and claim sizes are studied.  相似文献

Parametric and permutation testing for multivariate monotonic alternatives   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
We are firstly interested in testing the homogeneity of k mean vectors against two-sided restricted alternatives separately in multivariate normal distributions. This problem is a multivariate extension of Bartholomew (in Biometrica 46:328–335, 1959b) and an extension of Sasabuchi et al. (in Biometrica 70:465–472, 1983) and Kulatunga and Sasabuchi (in Mem. Fac. Sci., Kyushu Univ. Ser. A: Mathematica 38:151–161, 1984) to two-sided ordered hypotheses. We examine the problem of testing under two separate cases. One case is that covariance matrices are known, the other one is that covariance matrices are unknown but common. For the general case that covariance matrices are known the test statistic is obtained using the likelihood ratio method. When the known covariance matrices are common and diagonal, the null distribution of test statistic is derived and its critical values are computed at different significance levels. A Monte Carlo study is also presented to estimate the power of the test. A test statistic is proposed for the case when the common covariance matrices are unknown. Since it is difficult to compute the exact p-value for this problem of testing with the classical method when the covariance matrices are completely unknown, we first present a reformulation of the test statistic based on the orthogonal projections on the closed convex cones and then determine the upper bounds for its p-values. Also we provide a general nonparametric solution based on the permutation approach and nonparametric combination of dependent tests.  相似文献
