The importance of systems thinking,context, and inclusion when studying the feasibility of expanding the FoodShare (SNAP) outreach program to rural communities of Northern Wisconsin

Evaluators often neglect to question whether a program has been appropriately designed for a new context prior to a feasibility study’s commencement. In this paper, we document the results of a case study that closely examined context when determining the feasibility of implementing a FoodShare outreach program in rural northern Wisconsin. Using community-based participatory mixed methods, we examine how stakeholder engagement led to both study refinement and a more comprehensive understanding of community food security based on contextual factors and systems thinking. Lessons learned when conducting feasibility studies from this perspective are provided to improve evaluation practice.

本文对山西农业大学现行外语 (英语 )教学模式可行性进行了调查分析和总结 ,并对该模式可行之理论基础和实际成效进行了阐释 ,旨在使该模式在被更彻底了解的基础上得到更有效的施行。同时文中还指出了实际操作中须注意的一些问题以及其在教学改革中意义     

我国高校体育教学俱乐部的现状及可行性研究

采用问卷、统计方法对我国一些高校体育教学俱乐部进行了分析研究,从五个方面阐述了高校开展体育教学俱乐部的可行性,同时为完善体育教学俱乐部体系和运作机制,提出了自己的一些想法供同行参考。     

More on the four-parameter kappa distribution

The generalized extreme-value has been the distribution of choice for modeling available maxima (or minima) data since theory has shown it to be the limiting form of the distribution of extremes. However, fits to finite samples are not always adequate. Hosking (1994) and Parida (1999) suggest the four-parameter Kappa distribution as an alternative. Hosking (1994) developed an L-moment procedure for estimation. Some compromises must be made in practice however, as seen in Parida (1999). L-moment estimators of the four-parameter Kappa distribution are not always computable nor feasible. A simulation study in this paper quantifies the extent of each problem. Maximum likelihood is investigated as an alternative method of estimation and a simulation study compares the performance of both methods of estimation. Finally, further benefits of maximum likelihood are shown when wind speeds From the Tropical Pacific are examined and the weekly maxima for 10 buoys in the area are analyzed.

我国中小型城市雕塑延寿方案制度化的可行性研究

近年来,在我国快速的城市现代化进程中,城市硬质环境与人文环境的变动导致大批城市雕塑被拆除。其中,大型城市雕塑还可得到高度关注并以个案形式迁移,但中小型城市雕塑艺术寿命如何延长的问题则常常被忽视,由此给城市艺术建设带来不利影响。从理论上看,只有在联动法律法规制定、公民艺术教育等方面的基础上,才能为因动迁等非艺术原因被迫退出原建筑环境的优秀中小型城市雕塑制定一个合理的延寿方案,从而降低城市现代化成本,提高城市文化建设水平。
