清代玛纳斯兵屯及相关问题研究

清代玛纳斯兵屯始于乾隆二十七年(公元1762年),成果显著。到乾隆四十二年(公元1777年),玛纳斯眷营的屯田总亩数已达28200亩,屯田士兵达1400人,解决了当地驻军的口粮问题,并对民屯的发展打下了良好的基础。

Protest Camps and Repertoires of Contention

Protest camps have become a prominent feature of the post-2010 cycle of social movements and while they have gripped the public and media's imagination, the phenomenon of protest camping is not new. The practice and performance of creating protest camps has a rich history, which has evolved through multiple movements, from Anti-Apartheid to Anti-war. However, until recently, the history of the protest camp as part of the repertoire of social movements and as a site for the evolution of a social movement's repertoire has largely been confined to the histories of individual movements. Consequently, connections between movements, between camps and the significance of the protest camp itself have been overlooked. In this research profile, we argue for the importance of studying protest camps in relation to social movements and the evolution of repertoires noting how protest camps adapt infrastructures and practices from tent cities, festival cultures, squatting communities and land-based autonomous movements. We also acknowledge protest camps as key sites in which a variety of repertoires of contention are developed, tried and tested, diffused or sometimes dismissed. To facilitate the study protest camps we suggest a theory and practice of ‘infrastructural analysis’ and differentiated between four protest camp infrastructures: (1) media & communication, (2) action, (3) governance and (4) re-creation. We then use the infrastructures of media and communications as a brief example as to how our proposed infrastructural analysis can contribute to the study of repertoires and our understanding of the rich dynamics of a protest camp.     

The role of selection in socioeconomic homophily: Evidence from an adolescent summer camp

Socioeconomic homophily in friendship networks is the result of several co-occurring processes, which are extremely challenging to disentangle. We propose to study the particular context of a three-week summer camp in France that gathered teenagers from varied socioeconomic backgrounds. We argue that this camp provides a unique opportunity to observe the sociability of adolescents in well-bounded settings with equalized meeting opportunities, thus helping us to narrow down the specific role of homophilic selection - the process by which individuals actively select similar friends. We use Stochastic Actor-Oriented Models to analyze the declared friendships of participants. Furthermore, we introduce a novel longitudinal extension of the Exponential Random Partition Model (ERPM), a model developed for relational data organized in discrete groups, which we apply to observed meal-sharing among adolescents. Results point to weak to non-existent homophilic selection during the stay. In turn, this suggests that structural opportunities and contextual moderators might be essential in explaining the amount of socioeconomic homophily found at school or in other contexts.     

Role of rural camps in nurturing field practicum: narrative from a faculty of social work,Delhi, India

Rural camps are an integral part of practice learning for most schools of social work in India. The paper locates the relevance of rural camps in social work education and unveils its pedagogy and broad learning framework. Based on the experiential account of the author in a rural camp as a teacher educator, the paper situates the role of camps in professional development of social work students and how it enables to bridge the gaps between academic knowledge base and the complex realities of practice. The unique standpoint of the paper is the students’ account of their experiences, challenges faced and its impact on their personal and professional growth.

虞山派是清初影响较大的诗歌流派。本文考察了诗派概念形成、诗派阵容 ,并从文社、藏书传统、琴画艺术等方面论证虞山诗文化圈的存在 ,使这一诗派形成的实况得到揭示 ,由此亦可了解虞山派的诗学倾向和创作风格。     

Training and Supervision of Counselors at a Residential Grief Camp

Peer-based grief camps, utilizing a volunteer staff, represent one method of mutual aid support for children. Manitou Experience is an example of a week-long residential camp for grieving boys. The recruitment, training, and supervision of Manitou Experience’s camp counselors and clinical team members are explained as they relate to program development and facilitation of positive change in its campers. Strengths and challenges of group processes are explored and discussed.     

Towards a minor global architecture at Lamu,Kenya

Major accounts of globalisation from a built environment perspective bring global cities and celebrity architects into focus. In this paper, I resist this and give an account of globalisation from the perspective of one of its minor architectures. A minor architecture is not a minor architectural language, but rather one that a minority constructs within a major language, encoding it differently and subverting its prevailing myths. The paper investigates this proposition by focusing on Lamu, the historic Islamic seaport and World Heritage Site on the northern coast of Kenya where a skirmish between local, national and global interests is currently underway over the construction of a new deep-water port. The port is a building site, not only of one of globalisation’s major architectures – a port, free economic zone and transportation corridor, but also of one of its minor ones, taking shape through the strategies Lamu’s organisations are deploying to object it. Through the analysis of Lamu in the longue durée – its coastal geomorphology and historic spatial protocols, I read these strategies as contemporary deployments of those long put to work at Lamu, through which land- and sea-based logics have been entangled.
