CQI技术间断对其顺轨创新的作用机制——基于组织质量特异性免疫的中介作用及技术感知的两阶段调节作用

本研究基于技术轨道理论,分析了CQI技术间断对其顺轨创新的作用机制。利用萤火虫算法处理356份有效问卷,其研究结果显示,第一,CQI技术间断对其顺轨创新具有正向作用;第二,组织质量特异性免疫在CQI技术间断与其顺轨创新间发挥部分中介作用;第三,技术感知分别正向调节了CQI技术间断与其顺轨创新、组织质量特异性免疫间的正向关系,组织质量特异性免疫与CQI顺轨创新间的正向关系。本研究拓展了组织质量特异性免疫作用逻辑脉络和链条的两阶段调节作用,为组织提升产品质量水平提供有力的理论支撑,也为组织质量管理实践提供了新思路、新视角。     

Technological change and the technology intelligence process: a case study

Various reasons are brought forward for the demise of companies in the face of fundamental technological change. Most often blamed is an insufficient technology intelligence process. However, existing research is contradictory on how this process should be organised. Therefore it is the objective of this case study to derive insight into the organisation of the technology intelligence process by analysing it in the context of radical technological change. The results of a study of the technology intelligence practices of 25 multinational companies are presented. Firstly, the structural, hybrid and informal forms of co-ordination of technology intelligence processes are presented as three parallel layers. Secondly, a framework for the distribution of tasks between the three layers of co-ordination are described and the preconditions necessary for efficient technology intelligence processes are shown. Thirdly, the results are contrasted with past research and conclusions are drawn for further research.

Continuities and discontinuities: Issues concerning the establishment of a persistent sense of self amongst care leavers

Research in a number of countries has demonstrated the importance of developing a sense of belonging and connectedness as key factors that facilitate the move towards independence for young people leaving care (see Stein, 2008). This paper utilises findings from a longitudinal study of looked after children (including interviews with care leavers) to explore how the evidence from Canadian research into the significance of perceptions of self continuity for identity formation can improve our understanding of care leavers' experiences and the factors that may act as barriers to their making a smooth transition.The findings demonstrate the extent of disruption and instability that care leavers may experience both before, during and after the care episode. This lack of continuity is exemplified for many young people by the loss of treasured possessions such as mementoes of parents and photographs of previous homes and carers. Constant experience of transience may act as a barrier to the establishment of a sense of self continuity. This may increase the likelihood of leaving care becoming a transitional flashpoint during which difficulties in moving on to adulthood increase the propensity for young people to lose sight of the thread that connects their past to their future, and engage in self-destructive behaviours. Premature, compressed and accelerated transitions may increase the chances of this happening. The paper argues that greater attention to the preservation of possessions that have a symbolic value might be a simple means of helping care leavers develop a stronger sense of connectedness.     

Uneven two-sided power distributions with applications in econometric models

In this paper we propose and analyze a bounded density function with a jump discontinuity at a threshold. Its properties are presented and a maximum likelihood estimation (MLE) procedure for the threshold location and jump size is developed. The distribution seems be appropriate in the context of financial engineering, production analysis, standard auction models and the equilibrium job search problem. An example of the MLE procedure is given utilizing an i.i.d. sample of standardized log differences of bi-monthly US Certificate Deposit interest rates for the period from 1966-2002. The corresponding time series was constructed using an Auto-Regressive Conditional Heteroscedastic (ARCH) model.     

Aspects of Change for Management in the Internet Environment

This paper will explore the challenge that technology will deliver to management at both the tactical and strategic level. Changes in communication, content of communication, globalization of communication, are critical to these changes. The environment will support a greater degree of discontinuities in planning which is brought about by the globalization of management activities. Successful management must encompose the management of these discontinuities but use information in an artificial intelligence environment. The integration of these data and the actions that come from that integration must be understood within a moral framework. A note on mse coverage intervals in a partial spline model

A partial spline model is used to estimate an unknown function which is smooth except for some break points. Assuming the break points are known, a Generalized Cross-Validated smoothing spline estimation method is proposed. Some interval estimation methods for the magnitude of the discontinuities based on the mean square error are introduced and investigated.
