This paper presents some powerful omnibus tests for multivariate normality based on the likelihood ratio and the characterizations of the multivariate normal distribution. The power of the proposed tests is studied against various alternatives via Monte Carlo simulations. Simulation studies show our tests compare well with other powerful tests including multivariate versions of the Shapiro–Wilk test and the Anderson–Darling test. 相似文献

For multivariate probit models, Spiess and Tutz suggest three alternative performance measures, which are all based on the
decomposition of the variation. The multivariate probit model can be seen as a special case of the discrete copula model.
This paper proposes some new measures based on the value of the likelihood function and the prediction-realization table.
In addition, it generalizes the measures from Spiess and Tutz for the discrete copula model. Results of a simulation study

Data-driven versions of Sobolev tests of uniformity on compact Riemannian manifolds are reviewed and their large-sample asymptotic properties are given. 牟宗三在《四因说演讲录》一书中,以亚里士多德四因说的哲学理论,来讨论中国的道家哲学,他牵强地认定,中国的道家是没有实体创生的意旨的,道家的道,是一个非实有以及非必然的理论模型。他还认为,老子的“无”概念,虽然有动力因的意思,但却只是一个作用的姿态,因此并没有真正的形上学意义的创造性,只是一套境界型态的形上学,而不是一套实有型态的形上学。其实,牟先生是把道家的工夫论命题,当作了形上学的命题在解读,因此导致了错解。在《圆善论》中,牟先生又借由郭象的“迹本圆融”之说,来诠释庄子书中的儒家圣王帝尧的形象,这种做法,从儒家立场来说是可以的,但却是违反道家庄子立场的。牟先生只是借非儒非道之郭象哲学,来建立儒家的哲学,并且曲解又贬抑道家哲学。 相似文献

In this article, another version of the generalized exponential geometric distribution different to that of Silva et al. (2010) is proposed. This new three-parameter lifetime distribution with decreasing, increasing, and bathtub failure rate function is created by compounding the generalized exponential distribution of Gupta and Kundu (1999) with a geometric distribution. Some basic distributional properties, moment-generating function, rth moment, and Rényi entropy of the new distribution are studied. The model parameters are estimated by the maximum likelihood method and the asymptotic distribution of estimators is discussed. Finally, an application of the new distribution is illustrated using the two real data sets. 相似文献

Ever since R. A. Fisher published his 1936 article , "Has Mendel's Work Been Rediscovered?", historians of both biclogy and statistics have been fascinated by the surprisingly high conformity between Gregor (Johann) Mendel's observed and expected ratios in his famous experiments with peas. Fisher's calculatftl x2 statistic of the experiments, taken as a whole, suggested that results on a par or better than those Mendel reported coultl only be expected to occur about three times in every 100,000 attempts. The ensuing controversy as to whether or not the good Father "sophisticated" his data has continued to this very day. In recent years the controversy has focused upon the more technical question of what underlying genetic arrangement Mendel actually studied. The statistical issues of the controversy are exam:.led in am historical and comparative perspective. The changes the controversy has gone through are evaluated, and the nature of its current, more biological, status is briefly discussed. 相似文献
