美国媒体在世纪初战争中的作为和立场分析——与越战对比

2004年以来,美国媒体报道的军方虐囚丑闻至今未曾停息。媒体在世纪初战争中的这一表现与40年前在越战中的表现有一定的相似性,但是由于时代背景和战争对手的不同,媒体的战争表现存在一定的差异。笔者试图从媒体的报道方式、战争对手的形象建构、媒体在战争中的能动性以及报道立场这四个方面将二者作对比,分析其中的异同,并由此预测,美国媒体在下一场战争中形成大规模反战论调的可能性不大。     

错动历史中的文学飞翔——对萧红的再审视

萧红是一个相当复杂的女性作家,她在文学史上的意义长期被遮蔽,还原一个真实的萧红无疑困难重重。对于她的成长,至今尚有一些谜团有待解释。在萧红的生活史中现存最大的一个谜团,是订婚的时间与未婚夫的人间蒸发。尽管似乎遭到否定,但种种的蛛丝马迹,仍指向萧红初次订亲的未婚夫与抗日名将王廷兰有渊源。从文学的思想性看,在萧红那里,性别的问题是与人生的问题、阶级的问题、种族的问题搅缠在一起的。她是从切实的人生出发,以生命的价值为原点,去表现历史人生的种种苦难,民族国家的宏大主题也因此而具有了深厚的民众生活基础。从文学的艺术性看,萧红熔铸前卫与传统,以丰富的艺术创新促进了汉语写作的现代化过程。     

“战国策派”研究的美学观照

对"战国策派"的研究主要有两种倾向:其一,不管是批判还是肯定主要以政治标准作为衡量、评价的基础;其二,从民族国家的立场出发来为战国策派正名、平反。总体说来,研究界几乎少有从哲学、美学的角度来进行分析和研究战国策派。而美学上的贡献正是战国策派最核心的价值体现,也是战国策派主要成员所擅长的专业。因而发掘其战国策派的美学价值,是当前战国策派研究的一个当务之急,对战国策派研究的美学关照,也是对战国策派研究深化的体现。     

西方主流经济学中的价值立场观

价值立场之争伴随西方主流经济学的历史,本文用价值立场观的提法概括了这一事实。不同观点之间的本质区别,形成了价值立场观的不同类型。分析这些不同类型之间的利弊得失,得出的结论是:自然科学方法不适宜于处理价值立场观问题,取代它的应是起始于维科的主体性方法。

中共"七大"前后,毛泽东的美国观经历了赞扬美国是"资本主义世界最典型的民主国"到深信美国"实在是一个敌对性的帝国主义"戏剧性的推演;美苏关系是毛泽东的美国观推演的国际背景,而美国对华政策则是毛泽东观感、认知和评价美国的基本尺度;毛泽东的美国观具有意识形态的色彩又兼备革命现实主义的特征,它显现了毛泽东的民族主义情结与现代化追求之间的内在张力。     

Visionary evaluation: Approaching Aboriginal ontological equity in water management evaluation

The 2017 Traditional Owner evaluation of the implementation of the Murray-Darling Basin Plan developed an approach to evaluation that tested the use of Standpoint Theory in the field of natural resource management. This methodological choice was intended to enable First Nation approaches to data generation and use in equal measure to non-indigenous approaches. The method is implemented as a nested, up-hierarchy of scale, enabling a pan-optican dimension of vision from "below" and "above". The paper does not present the evaluative results regarding the implementation of the Plan because that information is co-owned by the participating Nations for their uses. Instead, and in respect of that arrangement, the paper presents the evaluation practices funded by the Murray-Darling Basin Authority. The methodology was negotiated and implemented with the Nations in the pilot study as a co-production across cultural boundaries. The approach was then evaluated by the participants, and these results are reported. All those reviewing the methodology were directly involved in some aspect of the evaluation, 64 % of whom identified as Traditional Owners, 67 % of whom were involved in high level decision-making about the evaluation approach. Traditional Owners rated cultural competence of the tested approach at 68 %, the benefits of the approach at 75 %, satisfaction with the standard of the evaluation at 72 %, and satisfaction with complying with the Basin Plan’s requirements for evaluation at 78 %. Recommendations for broader engagement and better science communication are made.

我国高等教育即将进入大众化时代。大众化的目标特征及要求,促使我们必须审时度势,调整德育观念和德育方法,提高高等教育人才培养的质量,塑造高等教育人才灵魂。作为人口大国,高等教育的大众化,意味着人口素质的全面提高,而提升思想品德素质,不仅关系到国民素质的提高,而且关系到市场经济体制的正常运行。     

A Time for Silence: William Lloyd Garrison and the “Woman Question” at the 1840 World Anti-Slavery Convention

The World Anti-Slavery Convention of 1840 is remembered most as the event that inspired Lucretia Coffin Mott and Elizabeth Cady Stanton to organize the Seneca Falls Women’s Rights Convention. Few scholars, however, have analyzed the debate proceedings that ultimately resulted in women’s exclusion from the convention. An analysis of the convention proceedings questions Wendell Phillips’ strategy of speaking on behalf of the women, arguing instead that William Lloyd Garrison’s strategy of silence was the more rhetorically astute response to the exclusion of women. Garrison’s silent protest not only attracted more attention to the women’s rights cause, but also inspired women to speak on their own behalf.

Service users’ involvement in social work education: focus on social change projects

ABSTRACT

This article presents and analyzes four projects focusing on diverse forms of service users’ involvement in social work training and research in different countries (Israel, Italy, Slovenia and UK). It highlights the value of service user involvement (SUI) to specific social change objectives and to social work education. The conceptual framework focused on the Standpoint Theory, while methodologically participatory action research was applied, and evaluation measures were developed. Key findings, facilitators and limitations to the involvement, students’ views of it and similarities and differences among the four projects are outlined. The challenges embedded in introducing and sustaining social change objectives in a co-production framework within social work education are identified, alongside the added value of meeting them. The differentiated impact the projects had on students is highlighted as well as their significance for health and social care providers were relevant. It is encouraging that in each project SUI was positively valued. The projects indicate the wide range of SUI in the content and format of social work education, as well as its applicability cross-culturally to a range of key issues pertaining to both training and research in social work.
