Testing symmetry under a skew Laplace model

We develop tests of hypothesis about symmetry based on samples from possibly asymmetric Laplace distributions and present exact and limiting distribution of the test statistics. We postulate that the test statistic derived under the Laplace model is a rational choice as a measure of skewness and can be used in testing symmetry for other, quite general classes of skew distributions. Our results are applied to foreign exchange rates for 15 currencies.     

“当下性”、“本土化”与“走出去”——中国中外文艺理论学会第七届年会暨“文学理论前沿问题”国际学术研讨会综述

2010年4月23日至26日,中国中外文艺理论学会第七届年会暨文学理论前沿问题国际学术研讨会在扬州大学召开。与会代表提交了150余篇论文,涉及当代马克思主义文艺理论形态建构、文学理论走出去与本土化、文学本质与知识化、文学理论与当代文学实践、中国古代文论及西方文论研究的前沿问题等众多专题。本次研讨会内容丰富、观念多元,在一种总结、反思、对话的学术氛围中达成了诸多共识,取得了丰硕的成果。     

货币：“社会关系的物化”及其现代性意义——对马克思《1857—1858经济学手稿》的解读

在《1857-1858经济学手稿》中,马克思第一次对自己的货币理论进行了详细而系统地探讨,揭示了货币是产品的商品形式和交换发展的必然结果,货币与价值内在关联;指出货币是社会关系的物化本质,并在此基础上提出了人类社会三大形态演进规律。当前,研究这一理论对于正确分析货币的现代功能及其对社会全面关系的深刻影响有重要的现实意义。     

Nationalism and patriotism as determinants of European identity and attitudes towards the euro

The present study investigates national identity and European identity as determinants of attitudes towards the single European currency, the euro. It is assumed that support of the euro depends on a positive European identity which may be affected by patriotism and nationalism as different types of national identity. Sentimental and instrumental attachment to one’s own nation, and optimistic expectations about Austrian future are included as determinants of patriotism and nationalism. A sample of 318 participants completed a questionnaire. Results give evidence for impacts of national and European identity on the attitudes towards the euro.     

海湾区域经济合作的进展与挑战

海湾合作委员会积极应对全球化挑战,区域经济合作成效显著,关税同盟的建立带来诸多好处,拟议中的单一货币制度前景看好。但地区经济结构单一等内在矛盾制约了海湾区域合作进一步深入发展。各国只有通过全面改革,才能从根本上推动区域合作健康发展,成功应对全球化的严峻挑战。     

转型期区域经济和谐发展模式选择--从最优货币区理论角度给出的一个基本框架

从最优货币区(OCA)理论的角度,根据划分最优货币区的指标对经济体进行划分,寻找经济区域不协调的根源,按照产权界定理论,进行区域之间联合的财政措施和货币措施,有意识引导资源的定向流动,解决区域经济摩擦。最终从最优货币区理论角度给出建立区域联合的指导性框架,为转型期区域经济和谐发展理论提供新的尝试。     

汇率机制改革后人民币汇率的动态变化

 汇改后人民币汇率一直处于一个升值趋势,但是2008年后至今将近一年的时间内却基本保持不变。本文利用2005年7月21-2009年8月13日汇率数据探讨人民币篮子中货币权重的动态变化,来解释汇改以来人民币/美元走势。我们发现：一、在整个估计区间内,美元平均权重达到88%,同时美元权重存在结构性变化;二、利用滚动回归(rolling regression),美元权重可以分为三个阶段：2006年10月-2008年8月,2008年9月-2009年1月和2009年2月－2009年8月,分别处于缓慢上升、快速下降和重新回调的趋势中;第三、引入外汇市场压力(EMP),使用月度数据对篮子货币重新进行了考察,欧元在篮子中权重大幅上升,同时汇率对外汇市场压力反应并不明显。因此人民币仍取决于篮子中最主要的两种货币：美元和欧元的权重转换及二种货币间的价值变化。     

天朝心态与晚清的货币改革

晚清的币制改革在天朝心态的大背景下,在与西方文化的碰撞中,吸收接纳并融合成自己的独特的币制思想,初步形成了现代意义上的纸币.改革的本身就承载中国货币史的发展过程,其历史贡献和历史意义功不可没.     

新汇改以来人民币汇率参考一篮子货币权重的估计及经验验证

本文首先构建人民币对美元汇率指数和篮子货币汇率指数,根据人民币对美元汇率指数和篮子货币相关性指数最大化可以确定篮子货币的权重和数量,并对新汇改后篮子货币的权重和数量进行测度。我们的研究发现：在参考一篮子货币中,美元的权重最高,英镑的权重最小,但是其他货币权重都占有一定比例,我们的货币篮子和央行的货币篮子线性相关性较高。根据每一种货币的权重大小,我们可以计算出篮子中每一种货币的数量。根据最优货币权重,我们研究发现人民币对美元汇率和篮子货币之间存在长期协整关系,误差修正模型显示人民币汇率参考篮子货币调整的短期弹性和长期弹性比较接近,说明人民币汇率参考篮子货币调整相对比较稳定。本文检验了模型的预测效果,模型拟合度较高,说明我们选取的货币篮子具有较好的代表性。     

The trinity of wage setting in EMU: A policy proposal

Diverging labor cost developments are often considered to be one of the most important factors that led to large current account imbalances in the euro area (EA) in the run-up to the global financial crisis. It has also been shown that wage growth differentials have significantly lowered the co-movement of EA countries’ business cycles – the most widely used meta-criterion for optimum currency areas. Against this background, this paper develops a wage-setting benchmark that aims to keep the economy in internal equilibrium and to maintain price stability, while it also exhibits the capacity to correct for external imbalances. The proposed wage benchmark is very simple and may serve as an anchor for the macroeconomic dialogue in Economic and Monetary Union. In order to demonstrate the potentially beneficial effects of such a wage benchmark we present some simulations showing how current account balances and labor costs would have developed across EA countries if the rule had served as a benchmark already in the run up to the crisis.
