Firm-level training in local economic systems: Complementarities in production and firm innovation strategies

The paper presents a conceptual review over the main aspects concerning the role of human capital investments and training activities within production processes, followed by empirical evidence on two local economic systems in Northern Italy, based on recent survey data. Theoretical and empirical considerations are brought together in order to provide new insights on the role of training and the factors associated to training activities at firm level.The potential driving factors of training here analysed compounds structural characteristics, labour demand dynamics, human resource management practices, workforce features, and firm performances. We observe that training activities emerge positively associated with high-performance practices, innovative labour demand features, workforce skill level, firm size, and are affected by labour flexibility in various directions. Empirical evidence confirms most previous results but also adds further important insights. The analysis suggests that a widening gap, between few innovatively evolving and many stagnant firms, could characterise the future dynamics of the Region. The high relevance of structural variables, labour demand factors and HRM/innovation practices shows that regional industrial policies and labour policies should be jointly implemented for increasing potential firm productivity. This is a key concern for the current debate on local systems economic development in the European and Italian environment.     

EVA指标应用于我国农业上市公司经营业绩的实证分析

本文通过经济增加值指标对我国农业上市公司的经营业绩进行分析,以上交所和深交所公布的24家仅发行A股股票的农业上市公司为样本,对全部样本进行基本描述,分析农业上市公司的业绩状况。实证结果表明,农业上市公司的整体业绩偏差,业绩水平差异显著,但具体到每个行业,业绩表现又各不相同。

资源是企业赖以生存和发展的主要生产要素,资源的可持续发展对企业的绩效产生着深刻影响。西部资源的可持续性与西部企业绩效的共生关系不仅是我国实现经济与环境和谐发展目标的重要议题,也是西部大开发的重大研究内容。分析西部资源可持续性与企业绩效和谐发展关系,提出统筹西部资源可持续性与企业绩效发展的举措,最终目的在于提高西部企业科技创新能力,促进西部形成新型产业体系。     

FDI’s Impact on Transitional Countries, Serbia as a Rational Choice: The FIAT-ZASTAVA Case

The privatization process and foreign direct investments (FDI) are among the most important economic issues in transitional countries. FDI has enormous influence on transitional countries that need serious structural changes. In this paper we will study FIAT’s decision to invest in the Serbian automotive industry. We will try to rationalize FIAT’s decision because Serbian car manufacturer ZASTAVA was not the only alternative for FIAT to invest in the Balkans. In order to justify FIAT’s decision we will apply the Mullins model of horizontal and vertical FDI, examine the importance of the cooperating history between two car manufacturers and compare macroeconomic conditions and Global Competitiveness of Serbia and Romania, which was the main alternative for FIAT. Finally, we will also try to explain why FIAT decided to announce the investment at the end of political campaign in Serbia when pools gave anti-European parties higher chances for victory, instead of waiting to see the outcome of the elections.

鲁迅与穆时英笔下都塑造过一系列具有丑角特质的形象。不同的是,穆时英笔下的丑角具有自觉性,以小丑身份为面具,掩盖自己的孤独与恐惧;鲁迅笔下的丑角多是非自觉的,他们认真地践行着自己的人生理念,却因其与周遭环境格格不入,被人当作小丑、疯子。从中折射出两位作家迥异的生命观,穆时英从个体角度出发,写出了都市人在悲哀的脸上戴了快乐面具的无奈,对丑角表演持拥抱态度;鲁迅则从批判国民性的宏观角度出发,敏锐地意识到了丑角表演背后的隐忧,对其持拒斥的姿态。     

晚清以来弹词研究的误区与盲点--"书场"缺失及与"案头"的百年分流

晚清肇始、绵延至今的弹词研究,将"案头"弹词小说与"书场"弹词讲唱分而治之,是几代学者的基本选择.本文在梳理百年弹词研究史的基础上,借鉴海外民俗学界相关思路,试图思考如何加强和深入作为民间说唱文艺的书场弹词研究.以苏州评弹为个案,探索如何把握这一吴语地区主要民间娱乐形式的完整个性及对基层民众生活的影响.探求"回到现场"作为研究方向的理论可行性,兼及"案头"与"书场"研究合流的可能性.     

A response to M. Stone: 'How not to measure the efficiency of public services (and how one might)'

Summary.  This is a response to Stone's criticisms of the Spottiswoode report to the UK Treasury which was responding to the Treasury's request for improved methods to evaluate the efficiency and productivity of the 43 police districts in England and Wales. The Spottiswoode report recommended uses of data envelopment analysis (DEA) and stochastic frontier analysis (SFA), which Stone critiqued en route to proposing an alternative approach. Here we note some of the most serious errors in his criticism and inaccurate portrayals of DEA and SFA. Most of our attention is devoted to DEA, and to Stone's recommended alternative approach without much attention to SFA, partly because of his abbreviated discussion of the latter. In our response we attempt to be constructive as well as critical by showing how Stone's proposed approach can be joined to DEA to expand his proposal beyond limitations in his formulations.

图像/话音统计复用是用于宽带综合业务数字网的异步转移模式(ATM)的一个重要课题.讨论了用流体流法获得的统计复用排队方程的求解.采用二维变换法求出了特征矩阵所对应的特征根和特征向量的解析解,接着导出了排队的幸存函数和其它统计特征参数.文中的分析得到了数值计算法并被计算机模拟所证实.

洛带是近十多年来以＂西部客家第一镇＂而闻名海内外的一个成都东郊小镇。一年一度的客家水龙节是洛带民俗旅游活动的重头戏,而其中的女子舞龙队更是一道靓丽的风景线。东道主女性对旅游的参与程度和旅游对东道主社会介入的深度、旅游开发的类型与女性参与旅游活动的类型都是决定旅游对东道主地位变化影响的重要考察维度。洛带女子舞龙队虽然是水龙节表演的重要角色,但这种参与对旅游中女性东道主地位的影响甚微。
