Abstract: | A continuous change in the social structure of society occurs during the transition from socialism to communism. At present, a progressive convergence and merging of classes and social groups is occurring along many lines in the USSR. The major change in this respect is the convergence and merging of the working class and the collective-farm peasantry, and an overcoming of the significant differences between city and countryside. We are also witnessing a convergence and merger of both these classes with the intelligentsia and progress in the direction of eliminating the significant differences between mental and physical labor. |
